Better yet, it's a combination. It's the stormlight from their face-gems being absorbed, and being used in a stormlight-amplified fierce battle cry, shooting it back out. Pretty obvious when you think about it! ;D

Being equals in each others eyes isnt the same as equal permissions in the board's eyes. Administrator -> Global Moderator = less power in the software, meaning it would be a demotion. For example, say if i was considered "part" of the admin team. However, my board status was kept as member. While you guys would all listen to and back my opinions, judgements and ideas, i still would have to call out for help for administration purposes. As soon as my status changed to that of a global moderator, it would be a clear promotion in terms of ability. Changing from Administrator to global moderator is the opposite, a clear demotion in terms of ability, regardless of how you guys treat him

In SMF, Administrators can change and tweak all board settings, where as global moderators can only moderate the boards (editing/deleting posts, banning people, etc.), and moderators can only moderate specific boards.

So he gets demoted from administrator to global moderator?

The Rest of the Staff, According To Will
Eerongal replied to Shivertongue's topic in Introduce Yourself!
I can answer this one! Most are from Utah (but not all), they know each other from TWG (same reason i know all this stuff), and started this site after sanctions and discussions on said TWG earlier this year (at least i think it was this year, could be wrong.) -
Sweet. A cookie and a promotion!

Excellent use of perspective in making the people in the background floating above the horizon of the ground line. Nitpick, though: It takes more than 4 people to work a bridge. Other than that, great work!

Yeah, i know we're gonna need more info to really start one up, however, like i mentioned previously, the material just BEGS for it. The world has so much to it, that it would be great. There would be so many options and all that.

As all ready mentioned: My Lurk-fu is unmatched. Yeah, but im setting my sights where i know i'll come out unmatched ;D He's spent 80 days online on TWG... Yeah, but that's over the course of like 2, 2 and half years or so? something like that *too lazy to check*

When i read fantasy novels, i generally listen to a lot of david arkenstone music. Good stuff, generally all instrumental, very mood-setting.

"I am most DEFINITELY a madman with a box."

Oh man. I haven't watched dr. who since i was a kid (read: the 80's). It was totally on just before star trek, which was in front of red dwarf. Those were good times. obviously, i havent seen the new stuff. I suppose im kinda predisposed to automatically think its gonna be bad, so i havent watched any of it, even though it gets good reviews. 1. uhhh.... see above i suppose 2. From the old series, i loved the campy british humor (same reason i love me some red dwarf) 3. 4th doctor, Tom baker. 4. the what? -
Probably. But i just fall in to boring, predictable web browsing habits during the day while i wait for various processes, since i have nothing else to do

Heh, yup. I have the ability to lurk all over a forum 90% of my day at work, and thats before whatever i do in the off-time.

Well, the Aon's are channeling the Dor, sort of like building a canal for a river to flow through in a specific way. The further away they are, the less amount of Dor flows through the Aons. This would be why when the Dor flow was slowed to a trickle, the existing Aons stopped working. I would assume that the same would happen if they moved far away. The Dor would slowly come to a trickle, then stop flowing into whatever spells they have previously set up (some sort of glamer to appear normal) and cause it to stop working.

I dunno. I still don't buy them being Elantrians. I'm convinced they are from Sel, of that I have no doubt (especially since at the signing i went to, brandon specifically said WoK had tie ins to elantris.) Even when they were effectively cut off from the Dor, the elantrians retained a different looking appearance (though it wasn't shiny or good looking, looked more rotten than anything). It's true they'd get weaker as they get farther away, so the idea of them disguising themselves is out of the question here, at least to me, since, as said, they'd basically be powerless. However, I'm not convinced that loss of their power will cause them to revert in appearance. I believe that no matter what distance they get from their power source, they would retain their appearance, because even when their power was severely weakened to nothing but a trickle, they retained their appearance, but their bodies essentially just "froze" where they were. Moving away from the power source until it is either a trickle or non-existant, i would theorize, would do the exact same thing to them, not revert them to their "pre-elantrian" state. Effectively, the way i see it, the power causes their bodies to mutate to what they are, and then sustains them, as a sort of "life-support". Take away that life support, and their bodies will retain the mutations, but they appear to be unable to function naturally (or at least what is naturally for their physically changed bodies, that is). They've effectively all ready been "touched" by this power, and taking it away isn't going to revert them, it's going to kill them. Flaws, counter arguments, flames?

So....I know we have a mistborn RPG all ready, and I figure this is bound to come up at some point, but who else thinks we need some kind of Way of kings/Stormlight archives RPG action going on? I mean, seriously, the world is so rich and well planned it just begs for it. Who else agrees? However, there is still quite a bit we don't know, so I'm not sure how possible it is at this point, and/or quite a bit we'd have to guess at the "rules" for.

Yup. There's even this restaurant that serves this $1,000 gold ice cream sundae, pictured below.

Hey, i'm a lurker, not a spammer, baby! I all ready know i'll never be anywhere near top in posts on any forums, since i lurk way more than i post
-
I'm always logged in permanently. I checked it first time i logged in. Haven't had it happen yet, either here at work or at home. Edit: then again, i only have 7 posts so far.

You're right. Second place isn't so bad. I hope you enjoy it! ;D

What version of SMF (that's what it looks like) is the site using? I'd heard before of login/cookie problems in 1.1.11, possibly carried over to 2.0, but i dunno if they were ever really cleared up. It could just be an issue with the framework. Edit: also, what specifically is the issue? i have yet to run into it, so its kinda hard to tap what limited knowledge i have with SMF about it.

Prepare yourself. You currently top the "Most time online" stat. Now that I have made myself present here, I will be taking you out of your place. Consider this a formal challenge, if you wish, though i am merely informing you that my forum lurkery powers will exceed you very soon, given my track record. > Cordially, --Ee ;D

You could just make a single board for all unpublished works. After all, i don't expect the discussion on them would warrant too terribly many threads, considering so few people have read them and indeed even have access to the hidden boards.

So many of you may probably know me from TWG. I finally got around to signing up for this site as well. So greetings to all who all ready know me, and greetings to those who don't. Anywho, the Eero has landed. Repeat, the Eero has landed!
