This sounds alot like "The One" from roshar. Like everyone is eventually going to join the one and all are just experiencing different things that lead to the collective knowledge. I like this Idea except we know that Adonalism didn't give himself up for sacrifice. He didn't want to be split so humankind can create all these different things and have different focuses. He was killed and shattered. There wasn't a great plan. He was presumably suprise attacked and ripped into 17 pieces. (the 17th residing on a popular online forum) and the power taken for the purposes of those that killed him. Good idea tho There is a WoB that states that this is where Brandon got the name for Adonalsium. He based the original name off of Adonai. It was purposeful as Adonlsium was pretty much God (proper noun)

Does this mean your British? I always love to see the Brandon Sanderson Communities outside the 'States' -
So if you were a super evil guy that just did evil things as a pass time and you wanted to be able to wield Nightblood, assuming you had enough investure to sustain it, could you store Identity and hold Nightblood without fear of him eating you? I know it has alot to do with how Nightblood perceives the world, but what do you think?

I personally want to see Ironeyes be a anti-hero in the next era. Kinda a wild card. A rightoues villian thats working against Trell, but not on the side of the protaginist. I agree that he probably is compounding determination but if he compounds Identity then that would also help his sanity a little bit. But if there is a way to get Marsh fight Kelsier I want to see it. If insanity is the only way... So be it

How many atium shadows does a steelrunner have?
Lightblood replied to beantheboy12's topic in Mistborn
It doesn't really matter how fast the seer can work his brain, he physically would not be able to get his body in a way to defend against a steelrunner. Just be so fast so even if they see your atium shadow they can't do anything about it.- 43 replies

Are you sure their of a pure alloy?

I have an update! The coppermind says "Damage to the soul, such as that caused by Hemalurgy, can be healed by Bloodmakers." So you wouldn't even need to re-insert the spike back into the person you would just need them to keep tapping gold. My question now is if it heals the spirit then could we have an unlimited spike factory? Like does it fix the soul so that its still a coinshot for instance and you could spike him again for another charged spike? Or when it heals the spirit does come back as a normal person? I don't see why it would but when we get this far into Hemalurgy I always like to leave myself room for doubt.
-
So I feel pretty dumb for asking this, But if you spiked someone who already got their powers from hemalurgy then do you take their power at just another diminished rate. Or would the spirit web reject a twiced used investure peace. I'm leaning toward just decreased power but is there a definitive answer on this?
-
Ummmm... I don't think so. Your still ripping out their spirit web, It might be able to heal the hole but I think that in most cases, spiking them straight up kills them. It rips apart their spirit to a point where you can no longer live. WoB say that it is possible to spike them and not die just extremely difficult.

Yeah, or they would have to follow the memory or last thing the person said. Continue to follow Nalan or Dalinar after death. For the fourth oath I don't think he gets the full power of the fourth Ideal until his crusade has been completed.

If Maya revives, will she be the same?
Lightblood replied to Invocation's topic in Stormlight Archive
I was making a reference for Adolin being a Rosharan Version of Sokka from Avatar the last airbender, It was a joke, not actually meant to be responded to. -

sigh..... I guess we'll just have to settle for soul slicing super weapons. -
Was Odium permanently ‘maimed’ by Dominion?
Lightblood replied to Fanghur Rahl's topic in Cosmere Discussion
So he isn't more powerful then them collectively he just has an edge over them one on one. My theory is that since all of these shards had a host planet that they were pretty invested in. As a shard inhabits a planet then slowly the entire planet is saturated in its investure. One of the reasons why Harmony is kinda Stuck on Scadrial. We see that as Preservation gives a bit of itself up to create mankind on scadrial he weakens himself to Ruin. Because they both inhabited the planet they both lost investure seeping into the planet at a constant rate they stayed comparable in strength until Preservation sacrificed himself for Scadrial-kind. This is kinda what I think is happening with Odium vs. a World bound shard. With Aona and Skai he set them against eachother so he didn't have to fight both at once. But since he is just kinda flying around the cosmere unbound. He has more power than a world bound shard. If only by a little bit. Also he's a pretty sneaky guy and has found a method to "splinter" shards. It's implied that this isn't a commonly known tactic. (Ruin doesn't employ it when he kills preservation.) And I can only guess that cultivation didn't really care enough to help out Honor until after he died. Then she was like, "Oh, wait a minute, if he just killed Honor who was this tough guy, He's probably gonna try and kill me too." But any thought's on on-world vs. no world idea. Bc also now that Odium has been bound to braize for the time being, maybe it will even it out a little bit. -

Do you think we could convince Brandon to give Adolin a boomerang? -

Honestly I kinda hope that Adolin doesn't become a Knight Radiant. It fits his character arch better. He's the normal guy among all these super powered indivuals. He provides a contrast of a powerful non-radiant person.(granted he does have shards) I personally have always seen Adolin as the Sokka of the group (avatar the last airbender) and I like his role their. Now if he were to produce some minor powers through a partial/full revival of Maya. That would be okay. But I really think that Adolin is a really good baseline character for the rest of them. -
@StrikerEZDude it was just somewhere in the shadesmar place. It might have just been me theorizing during that time reading it. But since humans have some innate investure couldn't she technically corrupt them? Actually nevermind she would have to re-write their spirit web entirely, It definitely wouldn't work, at least from what we've seen so far
-
Okay so we know that Sja-anat can corrupt spren, with us first assuming she could just corrupt normal spren. Then we find out that she has already corrupted Glys and created a weird mixed investure KR. It's like whoa cool! But this has got me thinking. What else can she corrupt. I seem to remember OB saying something about how Sja-anat could corrupt humans, and we know that she can corrupt powerful spren. (Truthwatcher spren, and Oathgate Spren) But my question is does she corrupt spren, or just investure. Because if so could she make some Corrupted Honorblades? I want theories, but also cool ideas of Sja- corrupted investure. The second part does not have to confined to Roshar

In Soviet Roshar Shallan can soulcast

Uhhhhh... Yeah the whole dawnshards is a very unlikely option here. This was at the begining and we just barely have any information about Dawnshards now. It is most likely referring to sprenblades as they are functioning forms of investure rather then the broken forms of the shards used in modern day Roshar. Since they are living shards this could be reffered to as the magic of old days as they haven't seen the nahel bond since the recreance. (This is excluding Nin-son God and his band of merry men )

If Maya revives, will she be the same?
Lightblood replied to Invocation's topic in Stormlight Archive
Do we know that Maya was an ex- Cultivation spren? Could I have the quote on this? Because if she is then maybe something about her surges (regrowth in particular) is a special case of why she, and not other shardblades, can possibly be revived. I was thinking that maybe the only reason that she would be able to come back is because there is a bondsmith once again. Because there had to be people that were this close to their shardblades, (talking to them, respecting them, etc.) But I think that the reason Maya can communicate with him is not only with his connection to the sword (we also see this kinda connection between Dalinar and Oathbringer) but also the fact that Dalinar just opened Honors perpendicularity. I say this because this is the only time we see Maya communicate to Adolin. So I think if she comes back it'll have to do with re-growth mixed with the bondsmith power. Get me that quote if you can -
Kaladin, Amaram, and the Sons of Honor
Lightblood replied to Brightness Jencee's topic in Stormlight Archive
I like this idea it makes alot more sense then amaram felt "guilt" and didn't kill Kaladin. It also makes more sense why amaram was telling Kaladin that he "forged" him when fighting in OB. It could be interepreted as I made you a soldier but if he suspected that he was forming a Nahel Bond then it could be more..." Maybe he realized when he saw Kaladin on the shattered plains that he must've been a KR and was actually afraid of him. Because when Kaladin shows up it says he sees fear in Amarams eyes. Why?!?!?! Amaram is a full shardbearer and has little to fear from Kaladin if he truely believed he was a just a dark eyed spearman. -
Okay so in all the books, you never see Kaladin feel the effects of the thrill. All the other character viewpoints you see it (dalinar especially) but why doesn't Kaladin As a youth he probably didn't feel it because Moelach was in the shattered plains rather than bothering about Amarams domain. But what about when he gets to the shattered plains? There is nothing that says that a radiant can't feel the thrill. In fact we know by shallan's experience with the heart of revel that the KR can be affected by the unmade. Your Thoughts?
