The Inquisitor must charge a spike in order to convert. So, yes, the Inquisitor can kill and convert in the same night, as long as they have already charged the spike that they will use during a different night.

The Inquisitor knew that they were the only one left by now. There was still a part of them that was aware of things and that knew what was happening. The rest of the Inquisitors had all slaughtered each other, or themselves, in their madness. Like the rest of the Inquisitors, the majority of the mind of this last one did not care. All this Inquisitor knew was death, and the urge to destroy and the utter inability to resist. So, when the frightened-yet-hopeful human resistance stared in dismay as they killed one of their own... of course the Inquisitor did not care. - - - Snipexe has been lynched! Just as a warning: I do not think I will be able to be online exactly at rollover tomorrow. I will probably come around approximately 15 minutes late. However, I still expect everyone to stop posting at 12:30 PM tomorrow

A spike charges regardless of role. If the Inquisitor spikes themselves with iron, and they are lynched, the extra life is lost and a random uncharged spike is destroyed. Once the Inquisitor loses all lives, the iron spike (and any other spikes that the Inquisitor is spiked with) is destroyed. Spikes that the Inquisitor possesses do not grant the Inquisitor extra lives. The Inquisitor has 3 lives flat, unless they spike themselves with iron. Conversion does not use up the Inquisitor's extra lives. When a player is attacked and survives, it is indicated in the writeup, but does not differentiate between Thug, Lurcher, iron spike, etc. Lurchers are allowed to target themselves every night. They have to differentiate in their actions whether they are protecting someone from the elim kill or conversion. A Coinshot may redirect day actions, and those actions are redirected during the following day. A Tineye will scan conversions as the Inquisitor targeting someone. If the Inquisitor charges a spike with the kill at night (say on Maill), the Tineye will learn that the Inquisitor targeted Maill. However, if a spike is not charged, the elim kill is a group action and therefore is not trackable by a Tineye. To the question about Seekers scanning if someone is both an allomancer and Spiked, or if they have been spiked with multiple spikes, yes. The Seeker will learn all metals that the player uses. However, allomancy and hemalurgy will not be differentiated, and if the metals are the same (i.e. a lurcher spiked with iron) the Seeker will only learn the one metal. The Smoker can smoke 1 person total. A Smoker may be redirected by a Coinshot. Seeking happens after Spiking. There will be a 2 vote minimum. If the Inquisitor is scanned, the spikes they possess will not be revealed as metals. So, if the Inquisitor spikes themselves with, say, Iron, a seeker scan will reveal them as using Iron but no other metals. Yes.

Somehow, there was still hope among the people. There wasn't much left, though. Of hope and of people. By now, most had retreated into whatever shelters they could find. The world was going to end, and there wasn't any good reason to doubt that. That is, if you weren't one of the (approximately) dozen people who decided to take a desperate stand. Somehow, the impending deepness and death had only fueled their determination. And so they fought. Welcome to LG59! This turn will end on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2019, at 12:30 PM PDT. Please remember that PM's are closed throughout the game. There has been a minor change to the rules due to game size. The Inquisitor can have a maximum of 1 convert at any point in the game. The full rules may be accessed here. I appreciate every single player for signing up to play this game during such a busy time of year. Thank you. Also, shoutout to @Haelbarde for the title idea. I have planned to change the maximum number of converts depending on game size. With 11 players, it would make more sense to only have one convert, because of the 20% rule.

As it is, the game will be starting in 2 days, and we have 11 players so far. I understand that partly since it is the beginning of the school year, many people are busy and unable to play. However, any last-minute signups will be greatly appreciated. This game will still be possible to run with 11 players, though.

Is this your first game? Feel free to jump right in if you like, there's no prior experience necessary or anything and the other players will gladly show you the ropes. That being said, spectating would also be great.

Vin barely succeeded in killing the Lord Ruler, but something went wrong during the fight. The scene ended with Vin limping away, barely conscious and out of pewter. Eventually, she fell unconscious and died. Elend was unable to gather the support needed to ascend and rule Luthadel, so the Steel Ministry was able to clamp down its iron (or steel?) fist. As Ruin's influence grew, he wormed his way into the mind of an unlucky Inquisitor. That Inquisitor was tricked into releasing Ruin from his prison, and things only went downhill from there. After a rather dubious gap in logic and storytelling, all of the Inquisitors went mad and started killing everyone. Because that's just how life works. Welcome to LG59, lovely people. Housekeeping and General Notes: @Coop772 and I will be GMing this game, and @Alvron will be the IM. The game will start on Monday, September 2, 2019. Rollover will be at 12:30 PM PDT. Days are 48 hours long. Nights are 24 hours long. PM's are closed. There is a minimum requirement of 1 post per cycle, for each player. Less posting than that will result in death by the inactivity filter. The full game rules may also be accessed here. Hello, I blinked out, and now I'm back. It should be very easy to guess my role now, I think. Go at it if you like, and I'll do the whole not-confirm-or-deny thing
-
Oof. I'll have to... um... actually closely read the thread now... welp... uhhhhhh @Furamirionind Have a few sentences for now Elandera's defense of Striker seems pretty village. I imagine an elim would have tried to tunnel on somebody else (assuming Striker was elim), for instance, voting for me when Hael posted my "scan" results. Alvron: I'm definitely liking that he has a lot of content, and I'd say I agree with his argument about lynching players rather than constables, especially if there are a lot of strong suspects at the moment. As I've mentioned before, I'm a big fan of PM's and definitely wouldn't want to lose them. I'd be somewhat more ok with losing the black market, but I'd definitely prefer to keep that for now. However, he's being pretty forceful with his arguments... I'd expect such from either a player under a lot of pressure: either a suspected player, which he isn't, or a player who has a lot of motivation to not have one of the constables lynched. This makes sense, because even if we lynched a village constable today, we would know which constable is corrupt the next day, so it would benefit elim!Alvron to really drive in his argument. Also, Alvron has said a lot of other things which I haven't really looked into as much; that part just happened to stand out to me as I was skimming the thread XD
-
Alright now, Striker, please tell me why you decided to frame me. Was it because you regretted your posts and knew suspicion was going to come onto you? With your voting on yourself to make sure Snipexe wouldn't be lynched, I assumed you would be less willing to deflect attention away from yourself onto another villager. (edit: @StrikerEZ)
-
Hello, checking in. I've only skimmed the thread so far, but I'm here. I feel like it would benefit the elims more if PM's were closed (which would prevent village cooperation, pooling of resources, etc), so I'm a bit reluctant to lynch Wilson. It could definitely be the case that Wilson is corrupt and the fact that lynching her closes PM's is meant to dissuade us from doing that. If there's any constable I would suggest lynching today, it would... probably be Joe? Lynching Gaea today would be a waste of her ability, since there's no one in jail right now. Although not being able to buy items would not be fun, I think it's a better alternative than losing PM's. Besides, the elims would better be able to pool their resources and coordinate which items for everyone to use. So, as much as I don't like the idea of not being able to buy items, I think that it'll probably be of more benefit to the village. If anyone thinks otherwise, I would love to hear their explanations

Wait, I just realized I never actually voted on Rand in my last post... there we go
-
Alright, so we now know that Rand is pretty much confirmed elim... and although I might be skeptical in other cases, my gut kinda suspects Rand, especially because the third Tineye message N1 didn't really sound like Rand's writing style. This makes me trust Doc slightly more. It's been said that the people in the chain shouldn't be revealed or cleared in any way, and I'd say I agree, but I think an elim would probably keep passing on the information or alter it or something, instead of posting it in the thread. Doc could be making a false claim to frame Rand, and there might have been someone in the chain who changed the information that they sent. However, the original seeker or someone else in the chain before Doc probably would have counterclaimed in this case. So, the only case that would involve an elim!doc is if there was no PM chain in the first place and Doc was fabricating this information. Again, this is purely hypothetical, and I am inclined to trust Doc on this post.
