  1. Ah, I wasn't entirely sure and it turns out I was right not to be. Thank you for the quote.
  2. Win, that is definitely a Win.
  3. of TARDIS juice Since this boa is apparently bigger on the inside than the outside.
  4. In the annotations, yeah, but not in the book.
  5. a pooch skirt Can Shards were clothes? *shrug*
  6. Well, then what form is Stormlight? There are instances of it seeming to act like a gas, but it's light, which makes things terribly confusing.
  7. It actually mentions Hoid (not by name) later, he's another informant that Vin almost visits but doesn't due to some instinct. It says that he's either humming or singing or something, but he's there.
  8. I'd love to, but I'm loaning my TFE right now. Also I just started The War of Souls and will likely be swallowed up in that for a while.
  9. was Odium's counterattack!
  10. Yeah, the caffeine thing has never been strict. It's just people extrapolating from the no coffee rule since it's never been completely clear exactly what about it is bad, specifically. The main rule is to stay away from addictive substances, which for a lot of people is coffee. Pop can fall under this rule if you just can't go without it, but that's more for someone to determine on their own. I regret to announce that the family PC's been out of commission all day (I'm currently typing on my iPod touch, which is annoying) and it will most likely be a couple of days before I can get back on a proper keyboard. So my posting will be down some until then. I'd also like to announce that the mobile version of 17th Shard is really good!
  11. to kill Odium What a twist!
  12. Why not Dr Pepper?
  13. When Brandon mentions the Unifying Theory of Magic (very sparingly) he refers to it a's being a sort of parallel to the Unifying Theory of Physics that scientists have been looking for. A single core rule that can be applied to everything. The three realms are a result of the rule, but aren't actually it.
  14. Well, if Odium is controlling the Storms and Honor is piggybacking them to spread his power, the why would Odium want to make the Storms stronger? Stronger Storms would lead to more Stormlight, yes?
  15. Which gives us 48 different functions BEFORE bringing in Atium, Larasium, their alloys and any cross system functions.
  16. Well, we don't know the Unifying Theory of Magic yet.
  17. I realize it's not really part of the theory, but the "things sticking together" part of Windrunning is the manipulation of atmospheric pressure. Brandon has said that Hemalurgy is basically "stapling" someone else's spiritual DNA onto your own. So it's not really a genetic thing, though that has to do with what is there for Hemalurgy to steal. That's very true, if you, say, put Preservation with Endowment, it would probably create something completely different from either of them. I'd love to see how the different powers match up. It offers quite a bit of fodder for just how Hoid's powers work. It's also kind of my pet theory that the unaccounted for quarter of the metals in Hemalurgy (four each for Allomancy, Feruchemy and human attributes) could be for stealing other powers in outside magic systems. That would be so cool.
  18. it suddenly ended. FOR REAL THIS TIME.
  19. HAH! Nice try! I had a feeling I knew what that was and I was right! What the, I don't even...lol That was ridiculously cool.
