  1. AH! I posted a topic for this months ago! VINDICATION! I love the V'bros. I may disagree with a good chunk of their politics, but that's neither here nor there. John has a tendency to be totally BRILLIANT on the oddest and most mundane of inspiration. I would read his stuff if I wasn't busy reading stuff like Brandon. They've got a forum, yourpants.org , which I have an account on but don't really use. I mostly peruse the RP section which is rather chaotic.
  2. This is my favorite Disneyland ride. THEY ARE CHANGING IT. What have you seen that has felt like a defilement of your childhood memories? (besides erotic fanfiction, that happens to everyone)
  3. Endra thought of me! Voice is not only an instrument, it is the BEST instrument. No, I'm not biased because I took three years of choir in high school. Who's asking? I dabble in piano as well. As in there is exactly one tiny thing I can play well, with one hand. I pick out notes, but it takes me forever. I could probably learn if I just sat down and DID IT, but I haven't yet. To prove that voice is an awesome instrument: and . I would also recommend perusing their channels for additional awesome in a similar vein. I especially like Temptation Eyes and It's All Rock and Roll to Me from the first channel, and Hallelujah and Viva La Vida from the second.
  4. I saw the 6/2 as being a fraction. Also, 17th Shard Webcomic=best idea since Mistborn Musical.
  5. HYPERBOLE AND A HALF! I love that thing! SO GOOD OH MY GOSH.
  6. The thing that's keeping me from posting is that I know you guys are going to need to timeskip a few hours, but I'm not sure how to handle it. What do you guys think? Should we get Eero and Ambro to a good skipping spot and I'll do the skip or something else that you guys come up with, since you guys are good at that stuff.
  7. I agree, this is a great character. The one thing I'm sketchy on is what exactly a Sympathist can do. Does it sort of function like voodoo? Can the person move when doing more than one binding at a time? And what function does the Alar have? Try not to spoil stuff in the books, though, I want to read those at some point. Go ahead and write the full scene for your RP Sample, it can be either backstory of just something to show off the character and your skills. You don't have to if you don't want to, though. Once you take care of those I can go ahead and approve this baby. Then we can get into how to bring you into the story. I think I know how to do it, but we'll see. Feel free to detail things like however you want, really. I'm leaving a lot of what exactly the world is like up to you guys. I love the picture you've painted of Riverheart noble politics. Good stuff. And the "youngest doesn't get it if their older sibling has already started training", is a good bit, we'll stick with it. A Spheremount has the diameter of your average ballpoint pen. Formspheres are the size of a small marble. Sorry I haven't posted anything. I haven't worked out how to do the smithing scene yet, and I can't really do anything for Ambro and Eerongal, that's between you guys. I'll try to have something up in the next day or two.
  8. I finished Time Dancers, sequel to The Meq, yesterday and have started the third book, The Remembering, which I have been waiting for weeks to start. SQUEEE! Something that I wanted to mention, but don't want to spoil things so: SPOILER FOR TIME DANCERS AND THE REMEMBERING FOLLOWS So Time Dancers ends with the atomic bomb being dropped on Nagasaki at the end of WWII, several major characters were in Nagasaki when this happened. The POV was outside the city, but had a front row seat to see the bomb go off. Then the Big Bad, who has been tormenting the main characters and killing important people for the whole series so far shows up, with the book ending with his signature greeting. Beginning of The Remembering, POV is still stunned by the bomb going off, and, instead of attacking the POV, the Big Bad invites him into his castle refuge for tea. I am not making this up. END OF SPOILER OH LIKE ANYONE BESIDES EMERALIS CARES ANYWAY
  9. I had my first Brandon Sanderson related dream last night. Though probably in a way you would expect. I don't remember much, but I have a specific snapshot moment in my head. I'm sitting at a table with my cousin and a girl from YouTube, and Brandon Sanderson is sitting across from me. I'm introducing him to the others at the table as a New York Times Bestselling Author, basically showing that I'm just as much of a fanboy in my dreams as I am in real life. Oh, and he had a mustache. Don't know why, but he did.
  10. Most definitely, now give us a song to connect!
  11. Who else loves this show? It's become my new favorite cartoon. For a variety of reasons, but was definitely the clincher.
  12. Today's SMBC has got to be my favorite they've put out.
  13. Is anyone else planning on going to CONduit this year? Here's the site. If you're planning on going, and live in the West Jordan area, do you want to go as a group?
  14. Similar-but-different? So we COULD be Shards of a whole person! These are some of my favorite comics, they're all by the same guy who is AMAZING: The first is the Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi, which a mega crossover of different cartoons, mostly from Cartoon Network, into a sweet, epic storyline. It also has some real drama to it, which is fantastic. I personally find Dexter's storyline pretty relatable and VERY compelling. Next is Sugar Bits. It's my least favorite of the three but still fantastic, with kooky, interesting characters and some awesome worldbuilding. The last is my favorite. Grim Tales From Down Below is REALLY GOOD, and one of the best crossovers I've ever read. It's mostly based on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, but don't hold that against it. Warning: It's pretty dark, and some of the story elements are pretty dang unsettling. Warning overall: The comics have a definite lolicon slant, but it's pretty low key, mostly. You'll know it when you see it. The art, though, is fantastic. Especially the giant monsters and stuff. Very good eye for detail.
  15. I saw that it's your birthday today! Happy Birthday!

  16. Seriously, how are we not the same person! Maybe there was a Shattering involved. *shrug*
  17. So, current Copper Hills students, have they played Friday by Rebecca Black over the loudspeaker for announcements? If so, I pity you deeply.

  18. No, but I'll upvote you. Just letting the positive energy flow, man. /hippietalk
  19. Buy the Orange Box, it's twenty bucks for Portal, Half Life 2, Episode 1 and 2, and Team Fortress 2, which are all pretty dang awesome. Probably the best bargain in all of video games.
  20. You have opened Pandora's Box. This is an irreversible act. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.I'm fifty pages in LFG and loving it. SO GOOD. And Schlock Mercenary is my favorite comic of all times. Beat me to it. Beat me to it. BEAT ME TO IT!How are we NOT the same person? Here's some of mine: Awkward Zombie is awesome, pointing the dumb things and oddities in video games. Darths and Droids is one of my favorites. It can basically be defined as Star Wars as told as a tabletop RPG campaign. AND IT'S AWESOME. Basic Instructions is a comic I StumbleUpon'd a while ago and just makes me laugh and laugh. Even better, Brandon tweeted that he likes this comic! WOOT! Head Trip is pretty funny, but adonalsium help you if you reflect anything she considers stupid. The end tends to be violent on an unbelievable scale. Bug is one of my favorites, the dialog is PRICELESS. Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal is many things. Tame has NEVER BEEN ONE OF THEM. Black comedy is its stock and trade, and does a very good job of making you want to smack yourself for laughing so hard. And graph jokes. It has a lot of those.
  21. I KNOW, RIGHT!?I've been having trouble keeping up with my reading goal because I have other things I have to do, but I've been doing okay, I guess. I doubt that I'll make it by my birthday like I originally intended, but that's okay. I'll do a summary of that later.
  22. I'm just worrying about what might be going on here as people get farther into the game. Probably needlessly, but still.
  23. Man, am I gonna have to avoid this thread to not be spoiled about this game?
  24. YAY! Many good times will be had! Does this mean we will see more of our Overlord, too? It seems that you would be the best person to answer this question.
  25. The heck is this? I was expecting that to be a BIBLE that just randomly dropped out of the sky, but it was a DAY PLANNER, saying pretty much the same thing. Weird. Someone pulled off being even more inane than Friday. I...I have to sit down...Oh, I already am. Yay. That is...disturbing. You said you like this show? Hmmmm... As am I! Can't stop laughing!
