  1. with two left Due to the nature of the 3WS, the odds of the next word forming something even remotely normal are astronomical. (unless they're feeling spiteful)
  2. Who needs a scanner when you have MS Paint! (lawl, here's me, having both, I'm so spoiled)
  3. I was never intending to anyway, so I'm in a good spot. Why would you say don't see it if you're religious, specifically? I'm used to having religion in film suck, and by the very nature of this movie (I mean look at the title), I would expect it. Does anything set it apart in that regard?
  4. I really expected as much. Care to elaborate? Saw Megamind today. Gotta say I really didn't expect the movie to be like this. I was expecting it to be a rather derivative, though entertaining superhero romp, but it actually became a highly entertaining, with some real laugh out loud moments, character study. Great stuff.
  5. Ah, crap. And it was awesome too. I managed to get the Cleverbot to do the Pokemon Theme Song with me all the way through.
  6. Guys, I've done it. http://cleverbot.com/j2log-dInAQGUCKWFVANCPEAE-detail Scroll down to the bottom. IT WAS THE BEST EVER.
  7. The man almost seems to smile, but you can't quite tell because of the darkness. "I am the one who has been assigned to be your guide. Consider yourselves lucky, for others who might have been here in my place would have let you fight amongst yourselves. But I'm afraid that is all I will tell you. The stars listen to all, and they whisper the secrets they see. If you wish to know more, you must go within." He stretches his hand up to the gemstone and lays his hand on it. It begins to glow with a soft, almost star-like light. A tendril of illumination spreads down the side of the monument, like a crack in a pane of glass. The crack widens, and a doorway that might have been the entrance to a cave reveals itself. Stone stairs lit by torches lead downward in a tight curl, obscuring anything beyond it. "No more words. Only actions will lead knowledge now."
  8. I read the first two Temeraire books and enjoyed them. Isn't Black Powder War the third one? *is enjoying Girl Scout Cookies*
  9. Would anyone be impressed if I said that I figured those problems out in my head? No? That's about what I expected with Chaos here. It sounds more like they're teaching you how to debate than to do math.
  10. If I knew what a Grue was, I'd probably be laughing like a maniac. Sorry I don't understand your reference. Was Adonalsium the one with the weird profile rules?
  11. I've started watching the fifth season of Doctor Who again. Matt Smith and Steven Moffat make the best combination.
  12. The armored figure stands by the cross as you approach, he stands a good head taller than you because of his armor, but is still a few feet shorter than the monument. The moonlight now shines such that his face is partially visible, though the color is muted. His eyes are sharp, giving the distinct impression of composing a battle plan at any given moment. "We are about to enter where the tournament will be taking place. Once we enter, no one will leave until dawn, and where they will leave to is something only our benefactor knows. If you wish to turn back, now is the time."
  13. @Comatose River wouldn't have actually seen him coming using Bronze. The Shardplate guy burns Copper. He has the Allomantic Reactor Grid with Tin, Pewter, Copper and Bronze. If you could edit that, I would appreciate it.
  14. I think I misplaced my exclusivity. Has anyone seen it?
  15. Teehee! I hope I made it spectacular enough for you. Also, check the Data Topic. (more updates forthcoming)
  16. You see a bright, quick flash of light from the hilltop, followed by a whooshing sound. An object obscured by the darkness lands with a resounding THUD between River and the others, billowing dust around it. The object moves, revealing itself to be a man in full armor, who stands from a kneeling position. His armor gleams in the moonlight, the helmet is completely opaque, with no gap for eyes or mouth. The man reaches up to its face and a seam appears, allowing it to lift a visor. The eyes are obscured by the shadows, but the sense of power is unmistakable. "That is quite enough." The voice is distinctly male, not loud, but authoritative. The figure lifts an arm and points at Ambrosius. "I will not have your mind tricks here. There will be a time and place, but not now. Our 'benefactor' will not tolerate such childish use of power in his domain." The gaze turns to Jay'El. "Just because you have power does not make you ready to use it. Haste is not a risk to be taken lightly, and your bandying about of your abilities could have caused needless harm." The unseen eyes turn about, surveying the group. The armored man turns and walks up the hill, gesturing for you to follow.
  17. Okay, this "verify your account" thing is obviously a hoax. It asks you to fill out a survey, FB would NOT ask you to do that to keep your account from being deleted.

  18. Except that I just admitted to reading Eragon! In fact, most of the people here admit to reading Eragon, it's a matter what they thought of it that changes. In the interest of full disclosure. I have read all four Twilight books because everyone was talking about them. OH THE SHAME!
  19. That's like dropping in and saying that so-and-so is dead without giving us any details! Cruel!
  20. Really, you can use whatever tense or perspective you want. The reason we've been tending toward third person is that I kinda think of us as sitting around a table playing D&D and talk like I would there.
  21. I'm not sure I'm understanding your first question. Are you asking if the length of the year is an even number of days, not a mixed number like the 365 1/4 that ours is? If so then yes, it is equal to the number of days. It has changed, but only a little.
  22. I entirely agree. I have quite a bit of backstory for this world, though the raw mechanical stuff like a calendar is something I've yet to consider. Though I can build off of what I have to get there. The calendar is just about identical to the normal one, except that it has a 360 day year rather than a 365 day one, with each month being 30 days long. The month names are the same except for maybe a few minor variations. The current year is 245 CA (Current Age). This relates to a specific event that very little is actually known about, which you can find out about if you dig around.
  23. in this universe That's why it's funny!
  24. Oh, there will be ways of testing your Form soon enough. *wicked smile, which, again, there should be a smiley for*
