He paused. "Life?"

A man strode through the door, purple crystal all over his body. He blasted it forth in a blade, slicing into the beast. He quickly reached the core, cutting it to pieces. It died quickly. Ark stepped back, panting. He waved, and a bodyguard went to put out the flames on the nearby building. "The Ghostbloods are here to protect the city. Stay out of our way."

Hellbent heard the change of direction, and slashed the trees in front of him in half. He kept running, trees falling to his sides.

Hellbent slashed through the trees, following the path the woman had crushed through the forest. He used wild cuts, trees, bushes, and other growth falling apart.
