Altermind sent out an auditory hallucination to the others. He knew they were in the store and knew their minds, so it was easy to do so. "Meet me in the front of the store. Grab anything you want and meet me," he broadcast to the group's minds. With Sightline and Joshua, he strapped his two machetes to his waist, holstered his new handgun, and carried Flashpoint's new shotgun. He headed for the entrance of the store. Once everyone had shown up, he showed the group where the dirt bikes, motorbikes, and ATVs were. He told them, "Choose your favorite. They're all available. Don't forget to grab the right power packs." Altermind grabbed a new power pack for his own bullet bike and some new gravitonics. He put those in a bag he had snagged from the store. He'd have some mechanics back in Thoughttown add those to his bike. Kathy grabbed a tame-looking ATV and Travis grabbed a 300cc dirt bike. Looking up, he saw a vulture. Vultures didn't normally fly like that, he didn't think. It was more sluggish and jolty than a natural, smooth flight would be. What could be wrong with it? It flew lower and seemed to be getting a look at the group. Instantly, he made the connection. The necromancer! Flashpoint had said he was in the area and his spies had mentioned something about a Rottweiler and a vulture in the street fight the night before. With a grin, Altermind said, "How would you guys like to meet our new neighbors?" He put a hallucination in the vulture's mind of an explosion in the store. Flames jumped through the windows and burned the signs and sale posters. He had lightning flash down from the sky and the parking lot crack. The bird flew away in alarm instantly. The others looked at Altermind curiously. Kathy asked, "What do you mean? What neighbors?" She was confused as to why Altermind had grinned at a vulture and the it flew away. Vultures didn't live in Portland. Altermind looked at her and said, "Remember that necromancer we talked about? Well, he may be getting a distress call from a certain pet vulture of his. Be ready for a fight, but don't start one. We have the numbers on the group, but be careful." Your move, Master of the Dead. Altermind thought.

I didn't think he was guilty. Well, more like I felt that he was innocent, but the evidence was leading me in a different direction. I wasn't sure yet. The proof had me going one way, while my gut feeling,which must've been a darkfriend this time around, pulled me in another. Part of it was that I didn't want to lose a Squire with a Lashing if new as innocent, and wasn't quite sure if the risk was worth it. At that point, I decided the evidence was too condemning and hehad to be guilty or very unlucky.

Sounds good to me. How do the Wackos want to meet up with TTC? I think we're just about ready for that.

Because, at that point, I figured that with all the evidence that had come to light, Meta had to be guilty. There wasn't any other likely explanations.

Mallaw looked at the silver Oak Leaf symbol that hung from a chain of iron. It was the symbol of his abilities as a full hunter. He knew now why he had been assigned. Being a Squire took valor. It took ethics. One had to be able to be bold. He knew now, with certainty, that the Skybreakers were awful. They were menaces to society. Practicing was when Mallaw thought best; if he ever needed to think hard, it was immediately. He let loose five arrows consecutively. All five hit their intended targets: logs. Practice had made Mallaw exceptionally good at archery. It was a rare occasion when he missed a shot. Thinking about the week's events so far, Mallaw thought hard. He Ended at the conclusion that Aladdin was acting very suspicious. Some others were as well. Messages were disappearing and some were forged. Okay, so first things first. The only way I see a Reverse Lashing happening is, if you check the rules, that a RL happens before a lynch. So, Meta could've gotten in one last trolling moment by RL Wyrm just to have a chance of an important message not getting to him. I don't see any other likely scenario for that RL. Wyrm, did you FL your recruit last cycle or do you know if your fellow Windrunner did? I'm trying to sort out what happened with all the surges. Binnut, that message definitely doesn't sound like Ash. Edit: I wrote this and then saw that Gamma made the same point.

Wow, Ash. Nice one. I sent a message and received none. Mallaw watched the scene unfold. A Skybreaker and Windrunner and Truthwatcher all in this one town! He began to glow softly. Without realizing it, Mallaw had sucked in some Stormlight. He could help! By the time he realized what he could do, Metam was dead and the other two were alive. He decided then and there to hunt down the other Skybreaker and kill him. An arrow should do the job. Or maybe a knife. Mallaw grinned.

We're doing good. One henchman and one SB down. That's as good as LG3 and I think a new record! Ash is still suspect, but with his accusation of Meta, I don't think he is a SB anymore. I don't know who my next guess would be. Rulit and Naihar, I am watching too. Those three are my biggest suspicions so far.

About the prediction, I upvoted it for that reason. Cool! This would be the coolest power! Electro is going to use it to the best of his imagination. If he can get giant robots under his control, he'll be set. Joe, would CM's weakness have been possible for Travis to photograph?

Remembering his hunger, he sent two of his soldiers to go find food, "Bring me the best food you can find in this place." The pair of army men left him to go find food.
