I highly recommend it with a language warning. I currently compared it to be about on par with the Lightbringer Series in terms of language.

I liked Lightbringer. I nearly didn't get Red Rising, as it seemed like a typical dystopian. Hopefully not.

It's more of a sci-fi than a dystopian and it's a bit of Hunger Games mixed with Ender mixed with a dash of Riordan and a whole lot of awesomeness. With the exception of Ender, I liked this at least twice as much as those others I just mentioned.
