  1. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
  2. Two more months...but definitely lets me get another re-read under my belt before then and after the Holidays.
  3. Already set as my iPad background. Will soon make it to my PC. Such amazing artistry. Michael whelan always does great work.
  4. The way I see the outline for WoR is that there has to be a level of transition from one book to the next. With so much story, in TWoK, of Kaladin plus a few cliffhangers, it's only reasonable to want to slowly work your way in to the new book with a healthy mix of Kaladin's story and then Shallan's story, slowly intertwining the rest of the book with the other POV's in the same way that TWoK's did. If anything, for me, I was actually quite happy to see it this way because it can be difficult to just start with Shallan and nothing but Shallan for an overwhelmingly large portion of the first part of the book. I think it's just fair to the reader to continue telling the whole story, but in a way that allows for the transition to Shallan's POV to be less "invasive" to the reader.
  5. That's a really nice find!!! That sounds like an awesome Q&A question for Brandon.
  6. I was so excited to see this come from Brandon's Twitter. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BP_cInkCQAAfZ7a.png:large (It wouldn't let me embed the picture...sorry) And you get to see a good portion of the Chapters on the left and his Chronological list of books on the right(he has always maintained that Elantris was his first book published but his sixth book written). I am always fascinated by the order in which he writes things...gives you such a sense of amazement at how much he writes in such a short period of time. Consider that he published Elantris, just eight years ago. So excited
  7. Amazing stuff from his blog today. 19 projects, not including media-related projects, forecast for the months and years ahead. What are you guys most looking forward to from all of the future projects? Aside from more Stormlight Archive, the Hoid origin story, and the "Sixth of Dark", I am interested to see what the "White Sand" trilogy is about. http://www.brandonsanderson.com/blog/1186/State-of-the-Sanderson
  8. I have been looking around for anything Brandon Sanderson related on youtube or the internet and having no luck. Has anyone else found anything from his Epic Fantasy Panel or anything else? Edit: Ok...I finally found a clip from SDCC's Epic Fantasy Panel. Edit: Please use the edit button instead of double posting. Thanks!
  9. I actually forgot!!! I have read the first Alcatraz and Legion. I have the next two Alacatraz on Audible. But have never read Warbreaker. I know...bad fan
  10. I'm going to go with Jasnah. I'm a bit of a bookworm, so dates involving going to the library and researching cool and interesting topics, is right up my alley.
  11. Interestingly, I first heard about Brandon through his podcast, "Writing Excuses". At the time, (this would have been either late '09 or early 2010), I had been trying to convince myself to fan the flames of my interest in writing. So I had scoured the interwebz for some good blogs to read and came across some mentions of "Writing Excuses". I heard the first couple and really enjoyed what he, Dan, and Howard had to say. My wife and I began to listen to them, starting from the beginning, and I really got an appreciation for how he thinks his way through his books. I purchased "The Way of Kings" in 2010 and enjoyed it immensely (who am I kidding, I think it easily ranks as one of my top all-time favorite books.). And so I went down the rabbit hole and purchased the Mistborn Trilogy, Elantris, Alloy of Law, The Emperor's Soul, and The Rithmatist. Hands down, he is my favorite author.
  12. Thanks for all the hard work. I know I have really been looking forward to some Shallan stuff since that first reading where he started to read a Shallan piece and then scrapped it in favor of the parshendi one.
