Ax sat down on the edge. “My legs are tired, so I’m just going to sit and rest for a while.”

Ax got to the top and leaned down, offering Jace his hand. “Gerrup here.”

Ax kept walking for a few miles. He had no idea where he was by the end, but he found a building he could climb, so he did.

“I don’t exactly know...” Ax said. He was still used to having miles of empty hills to explore. So he just yolo’ed it, and dragged Jace out the front door, starting to walk towards the burbs.

Ax let himself be dragged for a moment, then caught up with Jace’s pace and walked with him.

“If we do, you can always use your billion martial arts skills to protect yourself after I trip you so I can get away,” Ax said, deadpan.

“How do you eat so much...” Ax muttered, then processed Jace’s question. “I have free time now... so, walk?”

“Okay, fine,” Ax said. He didn’t have it in him to argue with Jace this early in the morning. He started eating pancakes off a plate on the table, shoving Jace’s hand away. He winked at me, Shamrock said. I think he was winking at me. No, he was looking right at me... does he know about Radiants? Is he a Radiant? I don’t think so, to both of those questions. Ax finished eating a plate, then waited for Jace.

“Yes, you can have more, you overdramatic idiot,” Ax said. EAT, Shamorck demanded. No, Ax thought back. I ate yesterday. Three whole pieces of pizza, and my lunch, and that apple. I’m going to think at Jason really hard to tell you to eat.
