I'm in the camp where I liked the ending, but it gave me an Eli Monpress feeling in that I think there were better options available to Brandon to write at the time. I liked the characters as they were and would have preferred there not to be the massive change that there was, (though I won't say what that change was here) . Of course, it was still good - I just thought he was going in and should have gone in a different direction. The direction he went in was satisfactory; it just wasn't what I wanted. Still a great series. I have no complaints with the rest of the book - just that one major bit. The remainder of the series was also great.
