    *falls through your window* I AM HERE, does this help? That's 100% fair. Nobody understands all of it, not even the people who made it. Sooner or later there'll be an easy packaged way people have made for this to be explained, but basically the Alleyverse is a universe which connects to all of Brandon's books, and has something like another dimension called the Alleys, and a bunch of organizations called guilds. The Dark Alley is a heavy influence (and what created the world both IC and OOC) and is a giant guild living and working in the Alleys, doing a lot of science and baking and Hemalurgy (they love combining all three by putting spikes in their baked goods, with a focus on cookies). The main guild I'm in, The Underground Bakers' Association, was founded to oppose them but now no longer formally does, and just provides unspiked baked goods. You can keep asking me any questions you want, whether OOC or IC, I love talking about stuff like this.

    Yeah, those have been bothering me for a while too. The only reasons I can think of as to why they haven't are that either whoever edits the site is too busy, or more likely the formatting demands that they have a certain number of bars and they have to leave old ones up there until they have something new to fill it with.

    Yeah, I'm inclined to assume it was sexism in-world. Couldn't be OOC - or at least, is less likely to be, though even Brandon has subconscious opinions, I'm sure - but I can very easily see whoever renamed the cities going, "Well, we should name the capital after our glorious Mistborn emperor, the one who won the war! His wife can have something named after her too." Especially since nobody really knew Vin took up a Shard. I'm still surprised the crew would let this happen, but maybe everywhere was named after they died.

    He'd done the same thing before, and Deteca understood what he was trying in time to move back out of his range. The dust fell short, and so did he as he tried to attack her. She went forward again, waving her armed hand at his in an attempt to deflect it, then kicked in the direction of his knee.
