AMENDEMENT: I NO LONGER BELIEVE THIS BLOG ENTRY TO BE THE CASE. While it seemed reasonable at the time, I have since reconsidered things and this doesn’t feel right to me, nor does it fully match up with my experiences. I apologize for wasting everyone’s time with this theory.
