Mac, You said you found a bot, What is the bot, so we can have people review it? and Voidus, you said you were making one. Did you finish yet?
-
IIRC, there's a way to see what edits have been made on google docs. I don't remember how exactly, and I don't have access to edit google docs while at work, so I can't verify. But the head banker could always have a back up copy that is view-only.
-
So I think that Each guild would start out with some money that can be given to their members, plus each individual who opens an account could get like 50 crysts(just an example amount. The money could grow based on a 10% interest rounding to the nearest whole number. So if you start with 50, and your guild gives you 150 more, you would have 200. at the beginning of your second week, you would get 20 more. 220. Then the next week, you would get 22 more 242. Then the next week you would get 24.2 more, rounded would be 24 more, so 266, etc... If the banker has ledgers ona google spreadsheet, they could create an equation to do that automatically. But by doing it on a spreadsheet, that would mean that everyone's bank accounts might be public. That could make for an interesting society-building aspect though. A society where everyone knows how much money everyone else has... EDIT: and in a universe as socially corrupt as the alleyverse, that may be the only way to ensure no corruption in the banking system.
-
Or what if guilds were the ones to set up bank accounts, and then within the guild, They were able to distribute the funds as they choose.
-
What if we had a group of people who were always online, who all publicly professed which guild(s) they belong to, and there was an audit system set up, where any guild could request an audit, where all money would be able to be accounted for, and checked for fraud, without revealing too much about exactly where it is, but that it is all correct and accurate. If at any point, an banker is found to be lying, or deceitful, then that banker would lose all of their funds, as well as the clan that they are associated with would lose a quarter of their funds, which would then be equally distributed among the remaining guilds.
-
Of course the monetary system idea wasn't mine so I can't dictate how it's created, but I have some questions. Would each guild have to create a PM that includes a scribe or banker from the Liebrary? Or would each guild have a designated member that must report all internal transfers to the Bank of Liebrarians? Would money transfers be kept secret, except for in the official ledgers?
-
Chrysts sounds good to me. We could create a bankers guild, similar to moderators, with a representative from each guild to verify the integrity of the bank. They can keep an excel sheet, where each week, on Monday lets say, 10% is added to their bank accounts.(interest) Everyone who requests will start out with 50 upon opening up their account. The only problem with that is trying to moniter dozens of people requesting and transferring funds and purchasing objects from each other. But if we had one person in charge of monitering all transactions within their own guild, then we could moniter more easily. Or have an impartial banker be placed into each guild's Transactions PM. that's another idea.

I think that mac would be fine with allowing you to be an apprentice to one of the different crafts. Like we could have 2 people in armor, or two people who create clothing, etc.

This post was meant to be in another location, so I am moving it.

Interesting idea! Are you looking for recruits? I have an Idea of another area of craft. Can I be the craftsman of transportation?

Quick Fix Game 31: <MISSING VARIABLE>
Tineye Navigator replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't want you to wait until I can play, and I won't be able to play until Monday. So I'm out for this game sorry. I'll be a pinch hitter on the off chance that you need one after Monday though.- 268 replies

Quick Fix Game 31: <MISSING VARIABLE>
Tineye Navigator replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
How long are cycles in quick fix games? I am able to get on and be active for multiple days in a row, then I can't for a few days usually. If I can find a way to make it work, I can probably participate, but I'm worried about going inactive halfway through, then coming back only to find out ive been lynched or something.- 268 replies

I suppose I can be a moderator, Biased of course, as I'm part of the Ghostbloods.

Welcome to the Shard! In my opinion, so far the Stormlight Archive is Brandon's best work, so you could look into that one next! Mistborn is exceptional as well, so you could read that too!

Welcome to the forum! It's a great place! I'm excited to see you around the shard. If you like online RPing, there's plenty of stuff to do!

May I suggest creating a somewhat structured system for duels, but Duels could be a turn-based combat, like @Nohadon mentioned. Spoilers for length Maybe this system. But for assassinations, Those shouldn't be structured. If you were assassinated in real life, you wouldn't get a chance to respond if the kill was immediately effective. You can attempt to respond/defend yourself, But I think that the mediators/obligators/whatever other name was suggested, would have the final say as to whether the assassination was successful or not. (unless of course you admit to dying.)

I accept @Mraize's Nomination. I agree that some sort of moderation ought to be made for these issues. I think the best way to decide what those ought to be is to greate a Moderaters guild, made up of members of the other guilds, and discuss each issue there in more detail.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Tineye Navigator replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I lean toward the last one and the first equally. So we'll bring you to bridge four. So you won't survive the run. My favorite Idea for the lyric would be the one about the Honor chasm, but it doesn't have as nice of a rhyme scheme to it. I couldn't find another way to edit it. -

Long Game 44: Shadows of Elantris Redux
Tineye Navigator replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This looks like a really cool game! Sadly I wont be able to play in it, could I have a link to a spec doc? I wish the GM's the best of luck. I would like to give you all a kitt named Fiz to provide moral support and cuddling so during your mod days. Here is also a bendalloy medallion, full of energy for each of you to keep you guys going. Do you accept my gift? @Herowannabe@Fifth Scholar @Elberethand @Orlok Tsubodai- 1185 replies

@Resurgence Welcome! Have an Upvote. A few things you need to know before continuing. Beware of accidentally giving your breath away, or accidentally becoming spiked. While I have no problem if you choose to do so, just beware that there are many people who will try to trick you into losing your soul. If you want a cookie, by all means, make sure you research how that cookie was made before you decide whether to accept or not. But beware, because Spoilers lurk around every corner. I see that you are just reading Mistborn! Who's your favorite support character so far? (Not Vin or Kelsier)? Oh, and one more thing, If anyone ever spoils anything for you, there are groups out there that will take care of that "Sharder" for you. Don't be afraid to reach out to them.

@Sahin the Just, the difference is, I am using a work computer, during work hours, getting paid to RP. And answer a few calls between that.... -

You are on 17th Shard at work more than you actually do the work you are paid to do... -
I think the most efficient for many tasks would be a Bendalloy compbounder. You can store energy on lazy days, then on other days, burn bendalloy, create a speedbubble, and then compound the stored energy to have huge bursts of energy. If you were trying to solve a puzzle, you might even beat a zinc compounder. Unless he makes you angry.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Tineye Navigator replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted! But you still have to suffer the full amount of time, being in the bubble with Sanderson, who is writing the books. I wish to become a Cadmium misting so that I can sit in my room, burn cadmium, and when I am done, another book is released.
