I don't think it'll be Lirin. I think it'll be Hesina, if anyone. Lirin is a fully trained surgeon, Oroden is a child, and Hesina seems to be one to understand that they have to get out above herself. If he has to leave someone, it'll be her.

"Can I get anything for you, sir?" "It was nice to meet you too. I might pop into your library and check out your selection sometime."

Malu sets a gemstone, freshly renewed, in front of Pearl as Katki hums. "What, the concentration of Radiants? Yes, it is rather interesting. how many there are here."

"Oh, yeah, there's tons of us around here. There was a large Skybreaker fellow in here recently and one of my repeat customers is an Edgedancer. I know there's a few Lightweavers running around as well. So you're an Elsecaller, huh? Nice. Nice to meet you, Brightness Inkspren. What's your name, and do you want some Stormlight, by chance?" Katki's prismatic light ripple shone as he slid up onto the bar surface. "I'm here too! My name is Katki. I'm Malu's spren."

"A library? Nice. I can appreciate libraries, as a Truthwatcher."

"That's a good name. What do you think of the city so far?"

"My name is Malu. What's yours?"

"Alright." Malu pours a glass of water and sets freshly toasted bread with a cup of butter on the side in front of Sofya, a knife jammed into the butter.

I blame Kal's crippling attachment problems for that.

"Yes we do, but is that really all you want?"

"Hello! I don't think I've seen you in here before. Would you like something to eat or drink?"

"Absolutely. It's no problem about what happened, though, no permanent harm done." Malu poured a shot of whiskey as he spoke and set it in front of Zan.

"Ah, so you are different than most. Understandable. The question, more, is what made you different. I'd bet broams on something involving the Nightwatcher."

"Is this not a common thing? I would think, with the amount of people here, you would have come across someone like me before. Do you want some Stormlight, perhaps? I think that is the customary offering."

Yeah, it was during the Cognitive Shadow thing with those two, where Kelsier feels pain and Hoid says something along the lines of "your body thinks it should feel pain, so it does" if I recall correctly. (I wish I had AU with me, I'd try to find it). Probably just a misunderstanding on my part.

This could partially facilitate a Connection between them when combined with Kaladin's hatred that made up a solid chunk of his identity and continues to do so lending the final push into Ascending.

I think he quite readily could take up Odium. He's visited the heights of emotions on the battlefield, the anger to protect. He's been laid low, depressed and guilt-ridden over his inability to save the ones he cares about and ready to poison himself. He's seen the end of the road with hatred and turned away from it, he's turned his guilt on to other people, both of those subjects being the lighteyes, and is learning. He's not an embittered person, but he has been able to see side of things that would allow him to take up Odium. Mistborn HoA spoilers:
