Personally, it would allow mobile use as I do not keep a web browser on my phone. Furthermore, it allows for push notifications. Larger corporations take of direct access to the phone OS to gather info. For similar services - i.e. Reddit - users will make third-party clients to receive the benefits. Eventually the companies buyout the third-party clients to standardize user experience, control their brand, and ensure the clients stay updated. In other words, simply minor conveniences. From your perspective it makes little sense. Overall, it is a very high cost endeavor with little payout.

Going along with #3, I believe the fourth Ideal may be more along the lines of: "I recognize that I must kill to protect" OR "I will protect the masses by stopping the few". In essence my idea is that Kaladin and all Windrunners will have to recognize that conflict will occur and that the average person (Singer or Human) can be caught in the struggle for power between greater forces than themselves. Therefore, to protect as many as they can Windrunners will have to kill or disable the greater forces of evil, and as a result their underlings. One of Kaladin's greatest struggles has always been with his father's mentality that, 'you cannot protect by fighting' [paraphrased]. It is along this line that Kaladin will finally have to face his lifelong moral struggle. Kaladin wants to badly to protect people and overtime his view on this matter has had a wave shape. He swings from one side to the other - never lingering or choosing a side. Now he must choose. While the exact wording may vary, this is the struggle that the 4th Ideal tackles.

I am sure someone has already suggested this and gotten a response, but have the coders of the 17th Shard considered a mobile application on Android or IOS?

I was perusing the Arcanum when I came across a WoB that came with a potential option for the 4th Ideal of the Windrunners. The one suggested is, ""I will forgive myself for those I've failed to protect". I have not heard of Worm. I haven't re-read the Reckoners since Calamity was released. I figured Reddit would win in the cremposting just due to format. Thanks for the advice all.

I read, re-read, and analyzed Brandon's books since the 6th grade. I was originally introduced to his books by a childhood friend who suggested Steelheart to me. I really enjoyed it and thought it was the best take of the then popular YA dystopian archetype. By the end of 8th grade I had read everything he had published at the time and discovered the Cosmere. Through high school I slowly found Brandon's official website, the Coppermind, and 17th Shard. I recently was able to work Shardcast into my podcast rotation and have been working through the archive (might take awhile). Up until now I have been hesitant to get too deep into the Sanderson fandom - because I have been busy trying to get my associates in high school, have a job, and still talk to people every once in a while - but now I am ready to join my fellow Worldsingers, Radiants, and Feruchemists. As a question to the forum: Is the community more active on this site or on the various Subreddits? If they are equal: What is the division between the two?
