  1. Red represents Corrupted Investiture. While I think it may have some meaning, I doubt there is currupted investiture in this game, as it seems like a major game mechanic that would be in the rules. Odium is often thought of as red, but so is: Minor SH/mistborn era 2 spoilers: I am thinking the colors may be purely aesthetic.
  2. No, of course we wouldn't want it to be too easy. I assume the reasoning behind the people in that list is that they are/were all on Scadrial. So you are saying that you don't think it is one of those people, which it could only be if either Autonomy could target Shardworlds she is not on, or if you are lying. And it specifically says in the rules Autonomy can only target Shardworlds she is on.
  3. Yes it would, which is kind of the point. Anything you are willing to share? For instance, Axolotl didn't ask who you think/know it is, but instead asked, how you know.
  4. It seems to me there is a Shard out there, that only cares about 2 of their non-Yolen-investing actions at the moment. Ok then, it seems all that speculation about Weasel wanting to become a Returned/Shade was for not. As Devotion has to pick their target during the night cycle, it stands to reason that Weasel knew they were picked, meaning either an exchange happened in their world doc (Scadrial iirc), or this was planned from their faction doc. However I am curious as to why they would do this. The only good it does is waste a lynch.
  5. For the sake of adding discussion to the Weasel question, I would prefer a question along the lines of what Axolotl said. "Does your faction posses Shard X". Naturally, this will have to faction approved before answered, and I wouldnt expect it to be. However, whether or not it is answered could give us information on the faction. The info doesnt give us an immediate gain, but gets better over time. It also means we know who to contact if we want to get a message/request to a particular shard.
  6. Oh so much, thank you. That's possible, though very unlikely. Also, how would Odium have been blocked? The roles that give protect/roleblock options are: Unmade, Bondsmith, and Honor. Honor is the only one that would have had access to the ability N1. This means they also would need to decide to protect someone instead of making a factionmate a Bondsmith. N1 is the least likely cycle for Honor to be protecting, as attacks have the highest chance of hitting a differant faction, and with a bondsmith, they can protect 2 people if they want during the more critical rounds. A suggestion from the Sel doc was that Odium may just be inactive.
  7. Sel: Vhelir just having finished a conversation about people working together, he was feeling rather productive. He stretched back in his chair and closed his eyes; a few seconds of rest wouldn't kill anyone. "WHO MIGHT YOU BE?", startled, Vhelir jumped out of his seat. But the question was not directed at him, but a short man standing in front of one of the people he had just been talking to. 'Exvee, I think the name was?' He walked over there and overheard a much quieter, "Great! Step one: find more converts. I send you forth, my child". Vhelir stopped in his tracks, what was Exvee doing? Creating a following? This was not something that was brought up in our previous conversation. "Hello Exvee, you seem to have quite a talent for conversion. But why? I noticed you very cleverly redirected him from his goal to gain friends, and towards your own goal of gaining more followers. What is your goal with converting him, and likely others?" @Onyx Flamingo
  8. Ambition, Devotion, and Ruin are my best guesses for who invested in Yolen. Those are the three shards that didn't have an investing action available to them. I can't think of a ton to say either, though I want to catch up to Weasel and Axolotl in post count, that might take a while. __________________ 8 years ago Vhelir-son-Shaeil was not a child anymore, this was his chance to prove that. At 17, he was being sent as a caravan leader to Azir to trade with them. He would much rather have been a farmer than a merchant, but he should be grateful for what he did have, at least he wasn't a warrior. "It's time to go" barked Tsulas. Vhelir grunted and followed Tsulas back to the caravan. He wished Tsulas didn't have to come. Officially, he was there as an advisor to Vhelir and family friend, unofficially however, he was Vhelir's supervisor, the one who really ran the caravan. Vhelir would never get the recognition he needed if Tsulas was calling the shots. As his caravan started to pull away, he glanced back at the people he was leaving behind. He would miss them, but this was necessary. He had been an aggressive youth, and they had almost made him a warrior because of it. This was his last chance to prove he could be a productive member of society. They had brought with them a shipment of various fruits and vegetables, and an oddity; a weapon. Vhelir shuddered at the thought of it, 'Why would they insist on sending something so crude in this caravan?'. He doubted he would ever learn the answer to that, but that wasn't what was truly important. Few people would voluntarily travel near something like that. Which was lucky for Vhelir, as he needed this opportunity. Though that didn't make the situation any more desirable to be in. A week into the journey, they had just passed through the mountain range on the border of Shinovar. When from above a short stone cliff they heard a clash of metal - screaming - and a thud as a body was thrown off the cliff. The 5 guards that came with them started running around the cliff, looking for a way up not made of stone, but Vhelir couldn't see one anywhere close. He rushed to the wagon and found a blue cloth wrapped around something long. He grabbed the cloth and raced towards the stone cliff. "Forgive me" he muttered, and he began to climb the cliff face. He heard gasps and cries of shock from below, but he couldn't just stand idle while people died. Vhelir scrambled over the ledge to see 3 bandits cornering the last person in sight. Vhelir charged and slammed the covered object into one of the bandit's heads, who promptly crumpled. One of the bandits turned around to engage him and slashed upwards with their sword. Vhelir was barely able to block the blow, but the cloth tore away, and all that was left in Vhelir's hands was a silvery-grey short sword. The bandit started to glow, and Vhelir realized a second too late that this man was a surgebinder. The man spun around and tapped the sword with his hand, and nothing happened. The man stood there, stunned when the guard, already having dispatched the other bandit, came and took care of the final one. Vhelir ran to the ledge to look down at his Caravan, but it wasn't anywhere to be seen. Realizing he was standing on stone, he tried scrambling down the cliff face as quickly as he could, but slipped halfway down, and fell. Everything went black.
  9. It is possible that their wincon is compatible with all factions, but this could tell us more about the style of play the players in that faction have. It is also possible Cultivation could get in the way of their wincon, so they want to learn about Cultivation and their faction to learn who to target first.
  10. I don't even know what this argument is about anymore. edit: Never mind, got it. We know Ruin had the ability to invest in Yolen, but I don't think there is anything to be gained in continuing this discussion.
  11. I am getting the impression you have one in mind that you are truly asking about? Perhaps Odium. However I, like Axolotl (ninja'd), would say yes. I have no issue with working with someone as long as it is mutually beneficial.
  12. Just because Ruin may be in their faction is no reason to go after them. That would provide insight as to Ruin's actions, and you wouldn't want to share that kind of info. Axolotl is fully justified in keeping some information back. In general, I am taking a pretty cooperative attitude to the beginning of this game. I would have nothing against working with Ruin or the faction Ruin belongs too at this point in the game.
  13. The only thing I would question here, is why wasnt Ruin on your list then? Ruin didn't blow up a shardworld. When someone dies, what faction they belong to is revealed.
  14. I really am not looking forward to Yolen being a planet. There are a lot of variables in this game, and Yolen is another that adds more unpredictability. I like having to think about the strategies of having multiple relevant planets. Once Yolen is created, you are either on Yolen, or you are not. That is basically it. Well, Axolotl can't know this through PMs as the soonest PMs that can be made this game are N1 through Cultivation and Endowment. The remaining ideas I have are they have a hidden role that tells them info on Shards, their faction has knowledge of most of the shards, or they world-hopped and are sharing info between factions on known Shards. I disagree about Axolotl necessarily being suspicious because of this. They are someone to keep your eye on, but so are several other people so far.
  15. Alternatively, I would ask Seonid if there are secret rule and or secret roles. We may or may not get an answer, but this game is complicated enough I would hesitate to take any specific rule too literally. Umm, @Seonid, are there secret rules and/or secret roles? edit: RP to come. Don't have time to really dedicate to it right now.
  16. I was trying to accomplish an old win con, which was to kill a member of Gavilar's war council. It had nothing to do with the desolation.
  17. Venli was confused. If we are trying to stop a desolation... "Why are people still dying?"
  18. "I accept, for the good of my people. We will need it." Venli smiled that it was still going well, considering the king was dead.
  19. Venli ran. SHe needed to kill the unmade that was loose. She found the kitchen and pulled out two huge knives. She then ran back. She was ready to fight. She had even been in warform just in case. That was lucky. She rushed toward the creature, knives held out. This is the last time I ever come to an Alethi feast...
  20. Venli walked up. "@SE_Navani_Kholin, I will join you. I must do something to preserve the treaty, even through this. But we need to find the killer as well. I will pay for any information regarding this."
  21. Venli was sad about that. Szeth had been a good servant, he hadn't deserve to die. He had done nothing. He hadn't even killed. She attuned the Rhythm of the Loss.
  22. Venli sighed in relief. No murders. She had been hoping for that. Hoping very much. I'm glad. I didn't want any more chaos. I just want to help my people. Venli walked up to Navani and Adolin. "I'm sorry for your loss, is there anything I can do for you?"
