I'm trying to look for the theoretical space the Elims can be if we're assuming they have one Lurcher and one Smoker. Yes that's kind of the problem. Two ostensibly v!CS and apparently two starting v!Seeker claims. The weak link there is theoretically in the unknowns or the Mistborn claims. Technically my kandra claim too, or one of the Seekers. Maybe Lurchers, but thinking aloud: I think cross-validation on Zebra means remove Zebra from contention, we haven't had a validation on Weasel but Weasel had a good D1, DF is solid, and Axl was protected N1 and claimed the protect on me against Zebra and IDK if E!Axl runs that play. Edited to add: I frickin' hate these kind of role puzzles man It feels like playing extra spicy minesweeper.

Elims almost guaranteed to need a Lurcher in this landscape as well, but it might not be in the four who claimed. Who do we not have claims for atm? (Yes, I know, people can be lying too.) I think it's just <Lion, Dragonfly>, with potential fakeclaims in <Meerkat, Rhino>? Because if Dingo is telling the truth, then someone had to have Smoked Croc N1. Edited to add: Bro you aren't remotely dying, at this point the only people dying are gonna be Ocho or Meerkat depending on who everyone settles on. Would advise you vote on one of them as Zebra was scanned Village by Meerkat and Dingo and even if Meerkat is lying, we kinda think convergence between Meerkat and Dingo suggests Zebra is probably just Village. I'm willing to catch you up on what you need - same with Weasel because I kinda am a bit at a loss given the claims flying around. I would say don't roll a die, if you are RNGing, cointoss between Meerkat and Ocho because those are the two main candidates and unless someone makes a weird claim, that's where the decisions will go subsequently. Flam claimed to be a Village Kandra who ate Kanga. I can't confirm it, all I can confirm is that someone beat me to eating Kanga. Flam's N2 scan was Toucan, a Village Coinshot. Toucan has not been online to confirm it but Ocho claims Toucan PMed them to claim Coinshot to them, so we do have two players corroborating the claim, and it fits Toucan's behaviour. It doesn't line up with kills, so either Toucan took a shot at Ele and just assumed they both hit the same target (in this world, Ocho is Spiked and put in the kill so could not shoot due to actions economy and lied and claimed the Coinshot kill), or Toucan has been holstering the kill all along (IIRC Toucan did not claim the N1 Axl shot.) Edited to add: Fundamentally Weasel thinks the vote should be on Ocho, and Beagle thinks it should be on Meerkat. I can't help you make it two people because I can't decide myself, having been very confused by all the claims. If Ocho flips E where do you go? 'Cause the other issue here is if Meerkat flips E, even looking at Lion and Cham, we are still in a landscape with 4 putative V!Lurchers, 4 putative V!Mistborn, 2 putative V!Coinshots and 1 putative V!Seeker (on the start). That's still too much firepower and I don't know what Lion or Cham could flip that quite justifies this.

Fair. If so... At this point I feel like the Zebra and Alb scans are probably the most secure of the scans we have. I would probably put Toucan next - still fairly secure but kinda weak. Gecko is a weird case because Gecko was scanned but Gecko also we have independent reason to think V. So... I accept RE: your Rhino arguments, but that points to Ocho and Meerkat being the two weak links in there. I think there's an argument for almost anyone else. Lion and Cham we need to resolve at some point too because they were probably inert last Night when stuff was happening. Very coarse-grained because I don't got the energy to tier this, sorry. Oh. ...Do we see a three Elim remaining world? I'm asking because I think if we don't, then Zebra is fairly cross-validated as Village regardless. Then no matter what, just don't exe Zebra. I'm trying to imagine the optimal route forward and IDK anymore. I don't love the pragmatic argument but kind of get it. The alternative is to just do Meerkat as the weak link in that chain. In fairness the Ocho train doesn't really need either of us, they're very much killing Ocho regardless, it's got a major monopoly at this juncture though I guess some of it depends on how the others feel when they wake up in the morning.

What's your take on both Seekers scanning Zebra as V? Like I think what I struggle with is the weirdness of Meerkat's claim but our theory is that Meerkat was trying to save E!Zebra and that becomes way weirder with Dingo also claiming a V scan on Zebra.

So they do have a Smoker Why Zebra and not me since you were pretty sure I was E? Fair yeah your claim had no context so I was a bit... "is he joking again or not" about it. I think Weasel is kind of partly asking also because that's flak it's surprising a V!Seeker might be willing to draw, given the significance of the role. There are only two people awake rn and I myself am not sure of the course to take and am kinda asking Weasel/Beagle (I think Beagle left too?) for their take. @Melon Dingo He's online now you can ask him that. I want to know who he scanned N1/N2 because nothing makes sense anymore, we don't remotely have anywhere near as many Smokers as I'd expect in a 3 Seeker game. Plus, Beagle claimed a V scan on Albatross. And yes that is still four Lurchers. I accept if Ocho is still the best path forward, but I am not sure about the Zebra train anymore given two people are now claiming V scans on him, and more importantly, I have concerns about how Meerkat got a free scan because that is the fishiest part of his claim + Meerkat seemed to slightly sus the guy he scanned N1 on D2, and Zebra doesn't seem a consistent scan with his suspicions. IDK, Ocho or these guys seem to be the weakest part of the puzzle right now.

Bruv Dingo just claimed Seeker with a V Zebra scan, and Meerkat claimed V!Seeker who scanned V!Zebra. However Meerkat also claimed to have forgotten an action last night so the GM gave him a free random scan and I'm not sure that roles here get this kind of RNG grace, it's SE we don't do Compulsives man. I have no idea wthapis fing anymore.

Tbh both. I cannot make head or tail of the fact there are 4 Lurchers, at least 4 Mistborn, 2 Coinshots, and apparently one E!Seeker and one V!Seeker (who might also be E or fakeclaiming.) Edited to add: This is why I'm not sure RE: Ocho. In that...well, you've seen my comments on Ocho's PM behaviour and you know my priors about disliking pragmatic exes. The other issue I suppose is for all we know, there's another Mistborn or another kill role floating in those who haven't claimed so a precautionary Ocho exe doesn't really resolve that risk and still requires a Lurcher double up regardless or whatever. IDK, I am not sure of the road ahead. I dislike exeing just because and I think we should minimally try for a good flip. I am considering if that means it is worth flipping Meerkat and acknowledge I am partly blase about this since I can just eat Meerkat but would also (in a V!Meerkat world) be delaying Seeking by one cycle. But this may not matter given Flam and if we have better Flam priors due to Flam being the pivotal voter on Ig D2.

Does this policy apply to Elims forgetting to put in a kill or being too inactive to kill? What about Smokers who don't Smoke or Lurchers who don't Lurch? (I assume not for kandra since you didn't do anything when I said I wasn't hungry last night.) Edit: It is curious to me that the GM gives a free scan when the Seeker doesn't put in an action. In that to me that seems very extraordinary, I don't normally see this in most rulesets, and certainly I would find it - odd? - if the GM gave a free Lurch or a free whatever. Like... You know: What is the point of: or IDK man. I agree Compulsives exist but uh...they're not very common in SE no.

So just we're clear - Jo clarified there are no double shots so far. Someone shot Axl N1. We don't know who it was and/or if it was Toucan or Ele or someone. Ocho claims the Croc shot and has not been counterclaimed. (Honestly if it was you someone else just cc at this point, go wild, this entire game is a target-rich environment now who gives a f.) There was a single shot N2. Either Ocho or Toucan shot Ele. There's a world Ocho didn't shoot Ele and claimed it and is the last Elim standing. IDK if I buy that world. Flam claims to have scanned Toucan as a V!CS. This is backed by Ocho claiming Toucan claimed to them ( @Scarlet Octopus Actually why didn't you find the claim sus? If you were considering E!CS, isn't 3 x CS even worse and likely indicative something is wrong?) Meerkat claims to have scanned Gecko N1 as V!MB and Zebra N2 as V!Lurcher. Both of these are actually after the claims, and Gecko's claim was soft-validated by Gecko sending me the Tin message before it went live this morning. Beagle claims to have scanned Alb N1 as a regular Villager. Both Axl and Zebra claim to have Lurched me. Let's simply assume all the scans are accurate at the moment. Someone is most certainly lying but I want to see where the scenario takes us for now. Ok, that's not as helpful as I'd like. .........Are you sure you scanned me?
