@Amethyst Scorpion @Indigo Weasel Aight, you two. Here's the stakes. The elims need to submit a kill tonight to win. If you two burn your actions on PM creation (both for the Nimbleform), and the kill goes through, I think we'd all be willing to vote Flamingo and end this. Flam seems to be holding their action in reserve to make the kill, so it's looking likely that they're the final elim.- 819 replies

That was a suspiciously quick rollover. Almost as if Steel knew exactly every was going to happen. >.> The ways of the GMs are mysterious. We appear to only have one Mediationform who voted for Tuatara. That's interesting.- 819 replies

Oh you foolish barnyard animals. You thought you were so clever with your 'vote analysis' and your 'action economies'. You laughed when I said we could summon the End. Well, Hyena did anyway. Who's laughing now, huh? The vultures are circling, and the Bird Gang is coming for you all! WHO'S LAUGHING NOW, HYENA. MWA CAW CAW CAW CAW!- 819 replies

Yeah, I just wanted to see if anyone bit on a Flamingo wagon. Interesting that nobody did, but at this point the elims are probably going with the flow until they can get a fatigue mix. Tuatara is definitely more sus for explicitly saying they aren't village. So yes, please everybody vote for them. Tuatara Flamingo- 819 replies

A small part of me still thought Rhino was evil, so it's good to finally know their alignment A friendly reminder that this will be my it post this cycle. I like Mouse's theory about Heron being e!Mediationform, so I agree that they're the best target for today. Plus the whole Beagle thing. You have three hours to make me change my mind, then this will be locked in. Heron- 819 replies

Ooo the flip feels good. At this point, the game is more about casting votes than having discussions, but just so y'all know if I suddenly become less active, from Friday evening to Sunday evening I have Secret Plans that will hinder my ability/motivation to do much SE. Also, what can be added to what to make theatre? The answer was 'stra'. As in strawhat summer theatre.- 819 replies

Long Game 79/Anonymous Game 10: The Rhythm of Freedom
Amber Vulture replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I think Mouse is village. Their theatrics drew a lot of unnecessary attention to themselves. It only really made sense as a play if they were evil Malibu, evil Warform, or evil certain to win next round. None of those are true, so I believe their story. Lion, Rhino, Dragonfly, and myself are all village. I'm currently banking on village Flamingo. If they try to break ranks, I'll kill them in a heartbeat, but for now, we need the extra votes. Either the elims refrain from NKing v!them to maintain the uncertainty but ensure they lose every vote, kill v!them and answer the question of their alignment, or keep e!them alive but bussing to deepwolf and we'll end in a coinflip round. Pretty much any way you slice it, it's fine if they remain alive. Also, Mat says they're mechanically confirmed village so that's cool. So that leaves the five elims of Falcon (body snatched), Heron (supported Beagle), Scorp (I'd target them last since they're the least suspicious suspicious person), Weasel (gem hoarder), and Tuatara (unexplained extra actions likely used to submit NKs). We know Falcon has no gem, so there can't be vote manip coming from them. That's why they're the best target today at lylo. So I'll leave my vote there.- 819 replies

I'm actually so peeved because this whole time I thought the elims had grabbed it and cooked up something juicy. That a villager had it and sat on it is disappointing. I wonder if the elims were just low risk tolerance and didn't want to be caught having not grabbed a village gem if we went crazy with the PM unsafety- 819 replies

I feel like the Artform is less confimable than two PMs. But maybe hold that thought because evil Mouse may be a thing? If they're Malibu, it makes things much easier. Edit: and just strategically, why would you ever go for Artform anyway? Why are all the top suspects posting near the same time. Myself included- 819 replies

Long Game 79/Anonymous Game 10: The Rhythm of Freedom
Amber Vulture replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Darn, I need a song about lions sleeping and I just can't seem to think of any. Okay, let's go through my morning. 1. PM Flamingo and ask if they'll be on near rollover to stop a hammer. At that point I thought they and one other villager were split off votes and that worried me. I thought rollover was two hours earlier than it is for whatever reason. So when I 2. Saw Lion vote for me, I go into full panic mode. At that point I was typing another post for the MR and logged out/in with Vulture to see where things stood with five minutes to OH NO I'M BEING HAMMERED. Rationally, I knew I had Warform, but the assumption was that if the elims are doing it, they have a plan to win. 3. I got one post in and then stopped, because obviously can't post after rollover. What kind of a crazy person would ever do that. 4. Anyway, then I get back and realize I've got time to redirect this. I'm assuming that the two votes of consequence are v!Rhino and v!Lion, then e!Heron, e!whoever else comes by to vote. At that point, the logic is voting for me is bad. I know my alignment, so it's bad, even if I don't die. I'd been ignoring the votes on me up until then because I figured it was just elims hoping to trick people into not voting for Heron. The point of confusion seems to be, why would Warform me be afraid of the exe? I think that's a bad way of looking at it, because I was more focused on what exing me doesn't do. Namely, kill an elim. I think Opal pulled the trigger early. He actually had good instincts to realize the elims weren't too terribly worried, but it was because Heron is Warform, not because he's village*. Hammers don't come hours in advance, they come with 5 minutes to go. In a previous post, I detailed how even if he wasnt a Thug, the elims could at least force or a tie by moving their votes. It would have resulted in a no exe, but then with an NK, it becomes 6:5. All they need is some vote manip and they've got it in the bag. Actually, that's where we're at now, but I'm proceeding as if this is a winnable game. I didnt know if Heron was being honest. Them being Warform fit the votes, so that made sense, but I'd rather test if they're a Thug than have a zero percent chance of hitting an elim, which was what voting me was. I don't think just letting myself be half exed was a good play. At least the way I did it, you got my reactions under pressure, so you can read into that. Good job. Now we have to convince everyone to vote for the same person again and deal with even tighter margins. Probably with village crutch Opal dead because thread control is swell. *Villagers do have better odds for getting Warform though, so I'm not sure how to read that. I wish Weasel was still a Malibu candidate, I'm really liking an exe of them. They hoarded gems for no reason. And they were on at the perfect elim time for rollover. But Heron's asking them to vote seemed off for e-e. I think Mouse is the best option for a Malibu kill. Probably vote there tommorow. Edit: Also, apologies to Flamingo. I'd changed my mind about your Malibuness anyway, but it's nice to have confirmation And @Cream Tuatara if you wanted to really prove your role, you could probably just make two PM groups, both with v!Lion in them. It'd end the debate about if you jsut claimed to make a PM group that was all elims but didn't actually do it.- 819 replies

Of course I know the villager, he is me - Vulture Obi Wan Here's the VC from Heron I was looking at. Heron (7): Mouse, Vulture, Scorpion, Beagle, Rhino, Dragonfly, Lion Vulture (2): Falcon, Heron Weasel (2): Flamingo Flamingo (1): Tuatara Assuming Mouse, Beagle, Falcon, Heron, Weasel are evil. Tuatara and Flamingo are wasted village votes. So with hammer-style movements the elims can make it: Heron (5): Vulture, Scorpion, Rhino, Dragonfly, Lion Vulture (5): Falcon, Heron, Beagle, Weasel, Mouse Weasel (2): Flamingo Flamingo (1): Tuatara Thats a tie and a waste, but I didn't know if any had vote manipulating powers. If they do, they get the exe. It's a dud because Warform. Assuming they don't all decide on a different target, like Flamingo, which I considered unlikely but possible, given the prep work done. Anyway, then the NK, or more likely, they then use Malibu to body hop. That causes enough confusion, using the vote splitting strategy I discussed with you a whole ago, that they get another hammer in and win. Or they use vote manip again the next day to win. I haven't been keeping track of who has extra votes, but I don't want to be relying on a 6-5 majority at lylo. That's where I'm coming from. That's why I'm concerned.- 819 replies

Amber Vulture replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'd suggest a CW on Beagle, but as I've repeatedly said, you can't change targets unless you do the work earlier in the cycle ensuring you'll have other villagers come support it. Our three votes are meaningless unless they're supported by the mid-actives. It's just poor people management to switch It's useless because they're all going to day they were sheeping you. Any last minute votes will now come with the explanation that they were confused by all this. You're the face of this, now, not them. I don't see how you're getting any value from this. And Rhino, you're suggesting voting a villager over hitting someone I think is evil. You're suggesting wasting three days of effort. These games aren't won like this, they're won by hitting elims when you can. Now next round, people will say we'll my top sus is Heron still... and then they're untouchable because we can't afford the mix on a Warform Edit: Beagle, I just saw no one made anything when I made Warform. And Heron, I suspect a hammer is coming. It always does- 819 replies

1. If I have a secret extra life (I'd never mentioned it in thread, just implied) the elims might have failed to NK me. That's good. Now a hit on Kas is guaranteed, which is how they win 2. I don't want to waste an exe. That's what it comes down to. It's hard to get all 7 villagers to agree on one target. It's not guaranteed, and in fact, many villages lose because they split or get hammered. I was hoping for some progress today. Apparently it won't happen Scholarform is one use only. Otherwise you'd mass produce Warforms- 819 replies

Long Game 79/Anonymous Game 10: The Rhythm of Freedom
Amber Vulture replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
We don't lose. Technically. But if Lion thinks I'm evil, is my Warform flip going to change their mind? They'd just hit me again next round. And then we lose. Or I get NKed and we lose a reliable vote. But that's unlikely now that I'm a mix option. They'll probably go for Flamingo. I believe the elims decided not to play hardball this round because the main candidate was Warform Heron. They could then reevaluate close to rollover and decide whether to move their votes and hammer, or let it through. Either way is fine for them because there's no elim flip. The Vulture CW presents an opportunity to lure votes away. And any vote manipulating they had could have helped, although Heron has an extra life, not a vote removal. I don't think voting for a villager is ever a good idea, so I'm going to oppose this. I'm not going to word that more strongly, because that doesn't help anyone. I'm actually more frustrated that the reason we're here is because this back half of the game has been the same three people talking at each other until eventually this happens- 819 replies

That's what he led with. Saying if I don't have or, I'm an evil liar. If I do, then we don't waste the exe. Sure, but now they can say they were just sheeping you. All you're doing is ensuring we have zero chance of getting an elim. I'm sympathetic to your let's not lose mindset, but I'm frustrated that we spent a whole cycle getting in a position to make progress and you're backing out at the last minute. Again. Giving the more coordinated elims the chance to win. * Oh nice, Heron jsut admitted the reason they haven't been moving their votes is because he's Warform. There's your answer- 819 replies

I'll admit its similar to how I PMed TUO in the QF. But this time it's because I suspect a vote double or removal and vote movement can make us lose here So you're implying Weasel is village. And you are too. So my team is... Beagle, Mouse, me and who and who? Can't take me in isolation So you think I beat the odds and got Scholarform. Sure, it's possible. Then used it to do what? Lion thinks I don't have Warform. Can't have it both ways here- 819 replies

*checks back to read the writeup* Lion, why'd you have to do that at 9:55. In my panic I assumed rollover would be at 10. But I actually have two more hours to talk you guys out of this mistake. Nice! I'm guessing this is about me PMing Flamingo asking them to vote Heron? I am genuinely worried about people like Indigo Weasel who just showed up to add an elim vote after being absent for the whole round. If your doubting yourself, why not vote for them? Oh wait, it's because we spent the whole round agreeing to a candidate because we wanted a strong front that the elims couldn't hammer Edit: @Plum Rhinoceros D1 Request Scholarform (success) N1 Eat the gem D2 Use gem to make Warform (success) N2 Eat the gem D3 No action N3 make dragonfly-lion PM D4 Take a [redacted] gem (copying Rhino's strat) Ask Lion if you want to know what it is, I told him (success) N4 make Rhino-Tuatara- hyena PM D5 PM Flamingo-Lion * Also @Indigo Weasel I noticed you read the thread and didn't post. It looks a whole lot like an elim checking in a last minute to see if they need to vote or continue faking inactivity- 819 replies
