I do, except I also know my alignment :P. Ostrich did that, so I wonder if the elim team thought to go for some ~variety~. They knew Falcon would flip, after all, and it is expected that anyone would speculate distancing in hindsight. If we're looking to find more attempts at distancing, I think Swan had a vote on Falcon at some point before they moved it to Scorp. I know for a fact that an elim smoker exists. Could be Swan, which is why I'm so paranoid.

To summarize points against you, You were one of the players up for the exe when the Ostrich stuff went down You slightly defended Falcon during the D1 exe discussion Falcon didn't place you in the 'villagery reactions' but rather in the 'had good vibes' list when talking about their reads off the group PMs, which I believe is a common place to put an elim teammate (not too overtly defensive, but rather on the null+ side). Overall tone seems off and hedgy I'm unsure about whether attempting to start a train now will be effective

I believe it is tied at 3-3 :P. But if you explain your case for Swan I might consider it? edit: No, it's 3-2 with Weasel in the lead edit2: Oh right. My case for Dragonfly is that they've been consistently posting while flying under the radar. None of their takes stand out to me, which is a red flag. They were one of the two players who abstained from voting D1, and I am curious as to why they chose to sit it out when they've clearly said that they'd have taken a stance against Croc, in favor of Scorp (for context, they were online at rollover). I'm guessing they might be a non-kandra elim. If more than 3 players are ready to vote in this direction I am willing to switch back.

Indigo Weasel I suppose because I do not wish for a downgraded rehash of D1 but I hope I'm not being pocketed and played by Swan

How so? I mostly wanted more people to weigh in on the Ostrich interactions before I came to any conclusions regarding the same, which is why I went for Penguin who had been on my elim list for the past cycle already. Apologies for not responding to these points earlier - I somehow glossed over the contents of the entire post up to the point where you responded to my stuff lol. What are you implying?

I commented on that during D2, yet you chose to play along in our PM You likely realized this, but our PM conversation was me trying to elicit any sort of self-contradictory comment from you that could serve as evidence incriminating you of being a different player than C1!Weasel. What are your thoughts on Beagle now? You seemed to want them dead C1.

Has Weasel been talking in PMs with anyone else? I was the one to start a one-on-one PM with Weasel last cycle and they haven’t talked at all apart from answering my questions (that aren’t really game-related). C1!Weasel showed interest in solving the game in the group PM between me, Falcon and them. For what it’s worth, I brought up the Weasel allegation to Swan in PMs last night turn so it’s not entirely out of the blue. But I’d like to hear your thoughts on Swan after your reread regardless. No, I simply lacked the motivation required to type up a case for a dead thread. You admitted earlier that you would have broken the tie against Scorp in the D1 exe, so why didn’t you?

I think everyone and their grandmother knows I've been reading you village enough to risk a no-exe D1, so I'd argue against the notion that it is TMI :P. I could be wrong and you could be an elim, but that's not something I wish to ponder right now.

Dingo sounds pretty Dingo to me in our PM (which they created at the start of last turn) Could they have predicted that everyone would buy it this easily though? Surely they would have considered other, more skeptical reactions.

The vote situation when Ostrich decided to reveal the 'scan' should probably be looked at. VC pre-reveal: Scorp (2): Swan, Ostrich Vulture (1): Hyena Penguin (1): Vulture Dingo (1): Scorp I suspect at least one elim among the people with votes. If all four players there are villagers, why would the elims feel the need to pull this ploy now? It's evidently a very strong weapon, and I can't help but feel they've wasted it if all four players there are villagers. And it would have been far more believable had they waited another cycle because then they could have falsely claimed to have scanned the intermediary as village. This would have increased the credibility of the claim. I think the elims had reason to believe the D2 exe would form on one of their own, which is why they chose to use this tactic now. Obviously, I would say that out of those four I suspect Penguin to be the elim. This would be dumb to pull off without some form of protection from sharpshooters.

Gah. Okay, okay. If Ostrich is an elim, they will likely accuse a random villager of having 'scanned' Albatross. Sharpshooter, probably don't kill Ostrich. Your call, but you may want to go after someone else you suspect as they are ideally using their protection on Ostrich (if they're elim). Anyone who's been in contact with Ostrich via PMs, please share with the thread everything you've talked about. In our PM they claimed to have been talking to the 'scanner' for a while and that the Alb scan didn't come out of the blue. I'm surprised Albatross didn't put up much of a fight, but I suppose we can't blame them for not being able to turn the tide when there were 11 votes against them. I would also like to formally add Dingo to my village reads.

I completely overlooked the possibility of them being a Thug. This would make a lot of sense. edit: Similarly, the elims could have a Combat Medic on their team.

Unlikely I'd say, given the fact that coinshots exist as you point out. Interesting choice of wording there, by the way. You mean sharpshooters, yes? You are either not as new as you seem, or you are an elim who's picked up on the Tyrian terminology in the elim doc. If both are elims, wouldn't it have been better for Ostrich to lead an exe against Alb instead of faking a scan? By claiming to be an intermediary for the actual seeker, e!Ostrich loses a large amount of village cred due to the fact that e!Ostrich cannot refuse to reveal a red scan when asked to by a v!seeker. *Flashbacks to LG83* Possible, but if this is the case, the 'scanner' will really only get village cred from Ostrich solely because no one else knows who they are. This seems slightly more likely than 1 because the elims may have scanned Ostrich N1 to confirm that they aren't a coinshot. By choosing to only reveal themself to Ostrich, they are not in danger of dying to the coinshot (if one exists), and can safely bodyhop. *Flashbacks to AG8*
