  1. Huh? Yes, this is why I didn't bother :P. @Ivory Dragonfly do you have any reads to share? If you had the choice to vote between Croc and Scorp to break the tie D1, what do you think you would have done? Tineyes do not get any additional information about the game, though at their own discretion, they may communicate the information they've gathered via their own PMs in the anonymous message (not anonymous now :P).
  2. For what it's worth I think any posts that Falcon made should be deemed NAI due to the fact that they planned their flip and likely planned every move. Trying to read into them will only lead us to IKYKs. But to entertain Falcon's actions just a little bit, what do people think of the Ostrich/Falcon interactions? Ostrich was the only player to respond to each and every group PM Falcon created, and Falcon's vote also landed on Ostrich with little reasoning. For now I'll throw my vote on Penguin. They've been a bad gut-read for some time and while I can probably find other concrete reasons to support my suspicion, this is what mostly stands out: From this post. This was posted a little under four hours before rollover and seems like pre-emptive defence for Falcon.
  3. smh kas conversion game + potentially flipless game dont tell me theres arson too because that would complete the holy trinity Disclaimer to everyone: I am not playing this game like I normally play SE games because RL things - while I'm trying my best to post regularly, I'll admit I have merely skimmed through 80% of all posts in the thread and have only thoroughly read the parts of people's posts that pertain to me so that I can respond to them. So if it seems like I'm being inconsistent in my arguments and being forgetful, it's because I am :P. Please forgif. I will probably be like this for the rest of the game unless the game drags on for longer than usual, in which case my schedule should calm down a bit.
  4. Swan is probably good From what I understand, they can only use the Perfect Mimicry on targets that die on the same turn that they use the action on, so there was almost certainly a conversion last night and the Real Falcon is still among us.
  5. That’s a good point - I was thinking more on the point that they would want a death rather than a no-death. So regardless of the alignment of the people on the chopping block, I expected elims to intervene. But I suppose it makes sense that they chose not to as that would have attracted unwanted attention to them. As for your second point, please read my last post from the previous turn. I explained why it was that I decided not to move my vote.
  6. What was I supposed to do? Unvoting would’ve condemned ‘this person I trust’ to the exe, and people were not on board with starting a new train. I did briefly consider voting Penguin, but had I done so, Penguin surely would’ve moved their vote from you to Scorp in the name of self defense. So Scorp dies either way. Yes, ‘pressure’ on elims. By keeping the votes tied I expected the elims to intervene if either of the people on the chopping block were elims. Need to go back and analyze what exactly happened there and what that could imply, but the pressure was to force the elims to vote one way or another instead of sitting on the sidelines. Can you really blame me for asking? If I see suspicious behavior of course I’m going to call people out on it. I can’t know why you didn’t post unless I ask you about it. It was an important question. edit: Tentative Reads List (unordered within tiers): Village: Scorp, Weasel Null+: Croc, Ostrich, Dingo, Meerkat, Hyena Null: Mouse Null-: Dragonfly, Beagle, Alb Elim: Falcon, Swan, Penguin
  7. Croc might have more reasons accumulated by now (feel free to add on), but what they told me boils down to your vote (Weasel) mismatching your suspicions (Scorp). I did not forget this, Croc, and I'm confused as to what conveyed the impression that I overlooked it - I made it distinctly clear that as long as we weren't exeing Scorp or Weasel, I'd be on board with any train. As should be the case, in my opinion, for any villager on D1 (willing to exe anyone but their village reads). I did, however, express discomfort exeing any of the three leading exes, as should be obvious given the fact that I suggested we start a new train near the end of turn.
  8. Despite me advocating against roleclaims, it has come to my attention that Coral Swan is smoked this cycle because someone's vote manip failed to work on them.
  9. Why didn't you vote in self pres despite being online for EoD? Better yet, if you were going to role claim, why wait till after the turn? How does claiming here help anyone? It's almost as if you knew you wouldn't die I doubt it. Though they probably have a smaller PoE list now of important roles they might want to usurp.
  10. No one should be trying to prove any roles - PM safety is more important than ever because we know the kandra inherit roles. Trying to prove your vote manip role on D1 is confounding to say the least.
  11. Also vote manip exists, and judging by the amount of people viewing the thread at this moment, I suspect the votes won't stay tied even if we leave it at 3-3.
  12. Well like I've said before, it's mainly our PM interactions and their confusion regarding the rules seems genuine. In our PMs I asked them whether they were being intentionally confusing to mislead the elims and as a response they sent me a copy of each of their in-thread posts with detailed annotations outlining what each phrase meant. That, uh, felt village to me :P. As for who I'd like to see the train on, frankly, anybody who isn't Weasel or Scorp at this stage.
  13. Can I get you to reconsider your Scorp vote? Same goes to @Magenta Albatross - would you consider placing your votes elsewhere? I'm down to start a new train. edit: For now, Mauve Crocodile To keep the pressure up
  14. Updated VC: Amethyst Scorpion (3): Magenta Albatross, Oxblood Beagle, Coral Swan Mauve Crocodile (2): Chartreuse Penguin, Azure Mouse Emerald Falcon (1): Amethyst Scorpion Chartreuse Penguin (1): Mauve Crocodile Indigo Weasel (1): Charcoal Hyena Coral Swan (1): Amber Vulture Fuchsia Ostrich (1): Emerald Falcon Going out on a limb here, but rereading Beagle's posts, I get a gut-feeling that they're putting up a show of sounding more naively inquisitive than they really are. Doesn't necessarily point towards an elim mindset but I feel like this is an older player trying something new :P.
  15. Why do you assume I'm only suspicious of one Scorp voter? I didn't include Alb or Beagle in my elim reads but that does not equate to them being in my village reads - like I said, I am suspicious of the way the Scorp train gained traction. In my reads list I included the people I had reads on off tone and gut right off the top of my head (editing parts into a previous post is more stressful than it needs to be - I had to make sure I said my piece before anybody else posted). Honestly if you asked me at that stage who the other Scorp voters were I'd have told you I have no idea. You also assume that I'm reading you and Falcon as e/e which I never implied. Suppose I have 5 people down as 'mild elim'; does that mean I believe there are five elims? No. Because all five of those people are not e/e. Putting down more than one person in my elim bucket does not equate to all of them being teammates with each other. If you flip elim, Falcon is likely village. You should consider changing your vote, actually. I believe we're at a tie right now and ties are resolved by no-death. And everybody wants death, no?
  16. I assumed my vote would signify that my suspicions were not, in fact, on an equal footing :P. But this is irrelevant as I don't believe Scorp's an elim anymore. PM interactions plus rereading the thread changed my mind. Village: Scorp, Weasel edit: I accidentally hit a combination of keys that submitted the post rip. I am not done. >:[ Restating my reads list: Village: Scorp, Weasel Mild Elim: Hyena, Falcon, Penguin Elim: Swan Therefore my vote goes to Swan for radiating suspicious vibes. I dislike how fast the Scorp train took off and Swan jumping onto the Falcon train just seems like an elim trying to start a counterwagon to make the Scorp train look less opportunistic. My Croc vote was just an impulse vote - I wanted to how they'd react to it and they essentially gave me nothing so I'm happy to leave them on the back burner for a while.
  17. Brighten up, we've only barely passed the halftime mark. Then why the vote? I'm inclined to put Weasel in my mild village reads due to their general tone, and the way in which they village-read Beagle for asking questions. Unless they are e/e with Beagle, the way they phrased that sentence reads mildly village to me.
  18. Don't you think their objectives would change given the fact that their flip is premediated? There's always misdirection, yes, but they don't always operate with the assumption that they will flip. To sum it up, I expect the IKYK element to be stronger here. Not sure, but I wouldn't presume distros in the slightest. Obviously, I am playing with the assumption that they do exist. Good question. I think it's kandra :P.
  19. Exactly, except the Fang was majorly different in the sense that the village had more of a say on whether it got used. Here it's completely up to the elims to decide if they want to reveal the alignment of their original account and hop into another one. Unless the elims plan in advance everything they say using their original account pre-hopping, bodyhopping may inadvertently end up helping the village as it gives us the elim flip info to work with, even though numbers-wise, we'll be in the same position. If they do chose to bodyhop, it is probably safer to assume that the posts made by their original account were meant to mislead. It depends on how well they've thought this through I suppose - they might not feel the need to bodyhop at all, not unless someone claims an important role they want to usurp. Question for you - why Scorp? Again, using the Fang mechanic was not entirely for the elims to decide. Such is not the case here.
  20. I'm willing to entertain the possibility that Scorp is an elim planning to use the perfect mimicry in the near future, and is setting themself up to flip. Posting this way ensures that the village gets no extra info off their posts because using the mimicry will expose their alignment. After all, how does an elim planning to bodyhop behave before their flip? edit: Also, all elims are kandra. So I misspoke here when I said: Because obviously, elims exist :P. What I meant to say was that it's possible that the number of bodyhops they get is none.
