  1. "It's an Archivist pen," said James. "Not a particularly powerful one, but it's got to start somewhere, eh?"
  2. Narrator X gently carved the winds to break up the fight between the council members. James handed it back. "Do you know what this is?" he asked.
  3. X was happy. The thrown pen did not travel very far, unfortunately- only about as far as you would expect a thrown object to travel. James picked it up with a raised eyebrow.
  4. Narrator X wondered when an Author got involved in this.
  5. "That's not using the pen," pointed out James. "That's using your Narrator powers."
  6. Narrator X remarked that that was a good point and had the sand be cleaned up.
  7. Narrator X reminded Schrodinger that this was a different kind of wither.
  8. Pallus laughed. "You think you know the mind of the Witherlord better than I? Fool." He sighed. "I would like nothing better than his return. But that is not to be."
  9. Narrator X gave Drama the equivalent of a stern look and informed her that cheating would not be permitted. "Fool," said Pallus. "You know nothing." He sighed again. "The Witherlord has long since departed these lands. Any message from him is obsolete."
  10. Overlord Pallus stared over his lands. They were bleak and dead, all the life having been sucked out of them by the hordes of withergeists that had, until recently, roamed the land. He sighed. How was it that nothing ever went his way?
  11. "You must not have been around here for very long, then," said James, amused. "We've been around for practically forever."
  12. The mimes were annoyed that the council was leaving them out of the government, so they didn't bother to fix it.
  13. As official leader of the council, Narrator X declared the matter settled and encouraged people to get on with the story. Ninjas took the genie down.
  14. But alongside her ostrich appeared a strange fellow.
  15. Narrator X reminded Nameless that it was his job to worry about such things.
  16. Narrator X politely requested the Author to return to the background.
  17. Narrator X was happy that the balance of the world had been restored.
  18. Hello, said an invisible voice to Fadran. Welcome to... well, wherever 'here' is.
  19. Narrator X saw no overt harm in Drama's sentence.
