Y recalled both blades, taking a step back on the wind and using her daggers to deflect Q's blade.

The golem swung its arm, releasing it in the direction of Pruss. The sword buries itself an inch or so in the monster's forehead. Stone oozes as it is pushed out and falls to the floor.

Wind whirled in a whirlwind around Y's hand, deflecting the ribbons to the side. One of her blades reappeared in her hand and she threw it at Q in retaliation.

"Well," said Rekaerb, "often golems are animated via the cranium, and deactivated the same way." The arm of the golem moved to knock Geff off its head.

"You don't have mordite blades," remarked Y, throwing her second to finish the boy off.

The stick bounced off the golem without effect. The golem turned to look at Geff, red eyes blinking.

Improvised Encounter time!! Y dropped from a nearby rooftop in a flurry of wind, twin blades glittering in the sunlight. "Hello, Q," she said neutrally. "Long time, no see, eh?"
