  1. Professor Jones exhaled. "Very well. Let me see the injury."
  2. "A word of advice. When you are trying to flatter someone, don't let your arrogance show. It makes you come off as insincere." Professor Jones snorted. "No, you don't need a narrator. All but a very slim minority would be useless at it, anyways. I can do it, I'm just... out of practice. It's been several years since I was on active duty."
  3. Professor Jones blinked. "You want me to do it?"
  4. "That would be a different story," allowed Professor Jones.
  5. "None that would be helpful to you. And no. If they had, it would have been much worse. More corrupted power to fight against, see." But Sequence could not hear it, as it had been drowned out.
  6. The Witherlord placed his hand on Sequence's forehead. The voice in it was drowned out in static. The wanderer gasped slightly. "Does it really take that much energy to reverse a transformation?" "It does if you want them to survive it," replied the professor. "Transmutation is hardly the most efficient process."
  7. "Narrator Master of Silence," said Professor Jones. Professor Jones snorted. "No. Nothing like you." The Witherlord raised an eyebrow. "'Cactus, pineapple, donuts,'" he repeated. "Does that mean anything to you, Sequence?"
  8. "Become the Witherlord?" queried the Wanderer. "An unreasonably powerful entity fixed the issue." "Do you feel it?" the Witherlord asked softly. Dangerously.
  9. "Have you become the Witherlord?" asked Professor Jones drily. "Deus ex machina," replied Professor Jones.
  10. Professor Jones ignored him. "I do," replied Professor Jones. "No, I won't tell you who. They've suffered enough."
  11. The trio made their way to the classroom and knocked on the door. "What is it?" a woman's voice called back.
  12. The wanderer shrugged. "Well, the school is pretty powerful- they're the ones who made the pendant. But enough chit-chat. We should get moving. Professor Jones's classroom is this way."
  13. The wanderer blinked. "Why would I need a ritual?"
  14. The wanderer flipped open her pendant and whispered a secret word. And then they were in the courtyard. The survey was able to do things differently if it needed to.
  15. Grace closed her eyes and transitioned into the Enchanted Realm.
  16. "If you are ready to go," answered the wanderer. "You ready?" Ooh! Can you take me?
  17. Please no plot twists until I come back okay thanks bye
  18. "An interesting point," reflected the Wanderer. "But in this case, the way to get there is through teleportation." Oh no!! Should we fix Nameless, then? The wall began to move backwards, reversing the withergeist's takeover of Nameless inch by inch.
  19. "I don't know," the Wanderer replied. "But I know how to get there." Is that a good thing or a bad thing? For whatever reason, the withergeist could not access Nameless's powers. There was an invisible wall stopping it from taking over Nameless entirely.
  20. Grace moved discreetly towards a corner of the pile out of view of everyone else.
  21. "The University of Universes." Can they do that!? -- Nameless heard the whisper of an infuriated withergeist in his head.
  22. "Probably still teaching." "Why did the narrator want you to?
  23. "Oh, no- I was talking about my teacher. Professor Jones. She wasn't the one that was converted. Although she didn't tell us much about it... only that it was a friend of hers." Ouch! Why were you stabbing them?
  24. Grace looked at the clutter with curious eyes. I wonder if there are any magical artifacts here...
