  1. Team leaders @Szeth's Facepalm and @Channelknight Fadran, here are the contenders! Each of you, select fifteen (15) contenders and PM them to me posthaste. (You may deliberate with your team.)
  2. X shielded the group, blocking the tendrils in mid-air.
  3. "Because they need to be split up," Onyx answered, gazing pointedly at Avatar's weapon.
  4. X followed close behind in his shield-tunnel, defending the attackers as best as he could. The battle was so loud- but he had to stay focused. He could almost hear the pillar screaming out in pain, feel it in the depths of his soul. He moved ever closer.
  5. "Among other things, yes." Onyx strode past Sequence to where the spear, hammer, and crown floated in pillars of light. "I thought it meet to give one of mine to another."
  6. A glint of blue light flashed in one of Onyx's eye sockets. "Is that all?"
  7. As soon as Sequence picked up the amulet, its physical form melted away into light. The light hung in the air for a moment, then shot towards Sequence, returning to where it belonged.
  8. The statue stood up. At its full height, it towered over Sequence, so tall she'd have to crane her neck to see the top. Then it began to walk forward. As it did so, however, it seemed to get further and further away. After several steps, the statue paused and extended his hand. Abruptly, it became clear that he hadn't been getting farther away: he'd been getting smaller. In his hand was the green-gold amulet that held Sequence's Narration. "I believe this belongs to you?" he asked, proffering it to her.
  9. On the 1st of March, the contenders will be posted and team leaders will choose from among them. Shortly afterwards, the game will begin.
  10. The current plotline should be wrapping up soon. We'll see where things go from there.
  11. ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ, boomed a voice, echoing back and forth throughout the hall. sᴇᴏ̨ᴜᴇɴᴄᴇ.
  12. At the end of the hall, a statue of a black-armored knight sat atop a throne.
  13. Sequence stepped into a room lined with pillars. In the center of the room were three pedestals that shone pillars of light into the air. In each of the pillars of light floated an object. The first was a hammer, inset with interwoven blue and red; the second, a spear formed of some dark crystal; and the third, a golden crown with spikes similar to the crown of a pineapple.
  14. The elevator slowed gently to a stop, and the doors slid open.
  15. The doors to the Chamber of Ascension closed, and it began to rise.
  16. The guide shakes her head. Onyx will meet with the victor alone.
  17. The guide shrugged. You have freedom of choice to wait or not.
  18. Once Sequence had entered the elevator, the doors began to slide shut.
  19. The destroyer spun around, finally noticing Sequence's tower. His eyes widened, but it was too late. The air around the tower rippled and it was transmuted into the same immutable stone that the composed the floor. The guide inclined her head. Congratulations, Sequence, on your victory. She gestured to a spot on the wall, which slid open to reveal a chamber that looked suspiciously like an elevator. Enter the Chamber of Ascension, and it will take you to Onyx.
  20. The destroyer pummeled Everyone a few more times, screaming. All the while, Sequence's tower grew ever higher.
  21. The guide's hair shifted slightly in front of her face, and the teleportation fizzled. The destroyer's fist moved towards Everyone's face as he fell.
  22. "Ah-ah!" The inspector held the opening open with his foot. "Where do you think you're going?" With a roar of rage, the destroyer plummeted into the hole in the ground after Everyone.
  23. The tower toppled, plummeting with steady assurance to the ground. The destroyer whirled around, empty eyes focusing on Everyone. They narrowed, and he charged.
  24. Maybe I do, maybe I don't. That's none of your business. But regardless, a hologram projector is a tool, and therefore prohibited under the rules. If the ally were using a hologram projector, it would have shut off as soon as it was turned on. The inspector blinked over and caught the throwing star before it could land, an irritated look on his face. "For the last time! No tools, no energy manipulation!" He sniffed. "Do you think trying to circumvent the rules will win you any favors with Onyx?" The destroyer didn't notice the ally's attempted sabotage, as he was too wrapped up his own. With a final push, the ally's tower fell over and crashed to the floor. The tower teetered dangerously, having been destabilized by several previous pushes. 13 feet above Sequence's seven-foot tall tower, the ceiling waited with anticipation.
