Sja-anat states that the Unmade were made, then Unmade. Like the first post, I am wondering if the nine Unmade are similar to the Stormfather, but they were corrupted, and he held out. Odium' influence corrupted them and thus they became twisted and evil (although we find out some don't want that to be the case). What if the Unmade were 'made' (just as the Stormfather was created), but then Odium's influence changed them, thus they became 'unmade'. Let me know!

True!

Does that mean Nightblood is a sword combined with a nimi? I wonder what a nimi could be...

[OB] On the Varieties of True Spren
A Dopey Spren replied to WeiryWriter's topic in Stormlight Archive
In regards to the comet spren speaking in Rhythms, don't forget that the spren gains sentience by bonding with the surgebinder. Maybe the bond allows it to communicate in a manner which is of the Surgebinder. I don't know of any reference saying that the spren must speak the human tongues. Correct me if I'm wrong! -
[OB][Warbreaker] Vasher, Vivenna, Nightblood, and Szeth
A Dopey Spren replied to Rainier's topic in Stormlight Archive
I agree with all that you said. It'd be interesting to see them all come together, and how they would react upon that happening. Also it's not definitive whether Nightblood is male or female, even he/she doesn't know and is very curious in regards to genders as a concept. (Vasher used masculine based words in association to Nightblood, so I think most people assume him to be male.) I am curious how two sentient swords would go about lovin'!- 31 replies

[OB] Could Pattern be the child?
A Dopey Spren replied to A Dopey Spren's topic in Stormlight Archive
Is it definite that the Honorspren themselves procreate? (This was when Nomund was speaking on the ship, right? Don't fully remember what he said. I think I recall someone saying it takes a long time to create new Honourspren.) I know that Syl and some others are of the Stormfather, and Honour also created Honorspren. -

Sanderson versus Hoid. I think it'd be a battle of the Wits... I'll show myself out. -

Also, when you realise that, as I live in England, I'm basically always experiencing the Weeping. -
Has Sanderson influenced you?
A Dopey Spren replied to A Dopey Spren's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I completely agree. Even without looking at all of his writing podcasts or Q&As, we can still gain a lot of advice. It's great to see how he's inspired multiple people to work on writing! -

That's genuinely amazing! Well done! How's the writing coming along? I love the fact that he has managed to bring together such a large community of such diversity. The effect that he has created is really inspirational. -
Welcome! As a spren I feel obligated to caution you of those who offer any sort of baked goodies (they aren't what they seem!).

Hi, I'm very interested to know if and how Sanderson's work has influenced you in anyway since you started reading his novels. What has changed for you since you started reading Sanderson's books? Have you become inspired to do something? Change of opinions? Suddenly turned evil and are intent on giving incautious people spiked cookies? You get the gist... Personally, he's inspired me to become an author (I've loved the fantasy genre since I was 10 years old, but Sanderson takes it to an entirely different level. One which is increasingly difficult to keep pace with). I can see how he has somewhat influenced my writing style (and even some ideas! ). I'm so glad to have found his writing tips, they are exactly what I needed! Let me know! Best, A Dopey Spren

I'm unnerved. I think it's necessary we keep our distance! *shudders in fear*

That's a valid point. And I totally hope that Kaladin does open up a nightclub (got to stick it on the upper tiers, make it exclusive, etc). It'll definitely add to his character arc (in ways we wouldn't expect). And is gambling and hookers considered honourable? Hmm...

I must know. For the good of the my fellow kin.

Your teacher assigned you to read the SA! I am jealous! -
I believe that Spren have been bonding with humans for a long time, but Nale has been executing all of them. (In the hopes of preventing another Desolation)

[OB] Could Pattern be the child?
A Dopey Spren replied to A Dopey Spren's topic in Stormlight Archive
That's the idea I had, that the Cryptics (and other Spren related to the radiants) derive from the Unmade. (Aside from Honorspren which are from the Stormfather) (Stormfather + 9 Unmade make the 10 orders). (I don't think this is necessarily the case, just an interesting concept.) I forgot about Glys, I do see now how she could definitely be talking about him. I was just curious to see whether there was any more information regarding the Unamde, their origin, the higher spren's origin, etc. -
[OB] Could Pattern be the child?
A Dopey Spren replied to A Dopey Spren's topic in Stormlight Archive
I know that Pattern is a Cryptic, I just meant whether all Cryptics derive from Sja-anat. Does Pattern say who made him? -
Definitely possible. Tarah has been mentioned multiple times, almost hinting at the idea that she'll appear in future books.

[OB] Spoilers! Pattern's jokes (even though he doesn't understand them) are funny. Such as the mathematical ones.
