  1. Butt was confused by the concept of souls and proceeded to take the golden fiddle and smack the Devil with it.
  2. Septimus stood in front of the door. No response had come. No one was visible and all he could hear was the occasional bell tolling.
  3. Septimus stood outside of the Dakhor monastery. Alone. The monks undoubtedly knew he was here, they most likely had lookouts and spies everywhere. They were a secretive bunch. So rather then attempting to sneak in, he simply approached the grand oak doors, and knocked. Whether he would be allowed in, turned back, or attacked he would have to see.
  4. Septimus cursed. Storm that man. He wasn't going to be part of some frivolous boy band. There were other Elantrians who could help him. He left, and quickly made his way to Elantris, tapping Steel. He soon found a willing Elantrian, who unfortunately had to be persuaded. He was soon standing in the center of a square in Fjordell, a statue of Jaddeth looming over him. He needed to find the Monastery quickly, he stuck out like a sore thumb, and would find trouble if he wasn't careful.
  5. Septimus raised an eyebrow at this. " Troops? And Sand Mastery can't be taught in a day, some don't even have any level of mastery. I went to Taldain to see if I did. I got lucky."
  6. Septimus waited. And thought. He couldn't be kept waiting forever. He needed to go to Fjorden and the Dakhor Monastery. He phased into Shadesmar. And was blasted with intense heat. The sand in his pouches began to glow with enormous amounts of light. Septimus returned to the room. Right. He was on Sel... The Dor... He looked down at his sand which had been supercharged with Shardic investiture. That could be useful. After more waiting Lopen finally entered. " Septimus, Would you like to find and kill Rhazien with us?" Septimus glared at him. This one was a meddler. " If you put all of our chips on one bet then you're setting yourself up for failure. I will help you kill him, but I will follow my own path. I could however use an Aon Tia to Fjordell." Septimus stood. " So?"
  7. Septimus sat, concentrating on the sand in his hand. He had managed to control a single ribbon, a pitiful amount, but he would grow. He still sat in his office, alone. His Zinc was being compounded, helping him focus. A knock sounded at the door. Septimus opened it to reveal a middle aged man with gray hair. He wore simple traveling clothes. " How did you get in-" Septimus began, but was cut short. " How did I get inside here?" The man grinned, attempting to trip Septimus. He reacted, moving back, but he when he looked to fight back the man was gone, a small card on the floor in front of him. He picked it up. An Aon Tia was inscribed on it. He tapped it, and found himself in a strange room. It had windows revealing Sel. A small note was left on the door. Welcome to Sel. The others are arriving as you read this. You may have noticed that they aren't with them. This is for a reason. Wait here, and you will see. If this was Lopen as he suspected, this would probably be extremely frivolous, and if not then... He'd have to see.
  8. Septimus stood under the shadow of a rocky spire, a hood shielding his eyes from the blistering sun that rained scorching heat from above. The sand at his feet almost glowed. The Lord Mastrell stood before him. It had been a week since he reached Taldain, barely getting in, Autonomy hadn't been cooperative. He had been learning how to connect to the sand, to see if he had any level of mastery. " Are you ready to try?" The Lord Mastrell asked. It had taken some convincing to allow the teaching that had occurred. It wasn't often that an adult, much less a foreigner, was allowed to be taught. " Yes." The simple reply came. He scooped up a handful of white sand and concentrated. He felt the sun on his skin, the sand beneath his feet. He concentrated on his hands, connecting with the sand. It began to glow, and raised into the air. Septimus smiled. The Lord Mastrell looked at him. " You have potential... But it will take time. Use what I have taught you. The only way to improve is practice. There is not much I could teach. Autonomy is required." Septimus nodded. " Thank you." Septimus filled special pouches he had made (Like Katara's water container Waterbending things) with the sand. He would only have a limited amount of sand off Taldain, but he could recharge it with other forms of Investiture. He went back into the Cognitive Realm. He went back through the perpendicularity, and traveled back to the Alleyverse. He appeared at his headquarters in his new office. He sat down. Rhazien was probably still on Sel, but he couldn't there very easily. He would simply have to wait. Maybe something interesting would happen.
  9. Septimus sucked the Stormlight from Rhazien's lashing, falling back to the ground. A group of robed figures had knocked Rhazien unconscious. So he is still human huh? Septimus stood and leapt at the figures slashing at them. They vanished. No... No, NO! He was gone again. It was supposed to be over... he was going to finish this! He phased into Shadesmar and turned about frantically looking for them. They weren't there. He fell to his knees and came back to the Physical Realm. The ground rippled around him as he released his power in a tempest of fury. Rock exploded outward, spires formed, and people all around him were flung back. Rhazien hunted more power, then so would he. Dakhor... they were from Sel. Septimus would follow, but not yet... First he needed to go to Taldain.
  10. Septimus just needed one opening. He needed to break that mans Shardplate. He surfed towards Rhazien, who was focused on Soul. Septius reached down into the ground and pulled out a large stone spike, and launched it at Rhazien's back, he reached into his coat and retrieved the Atium Spike hidden there. He slammed the Honorblade into the cracked plate, and slammed the spike forward towards Rhazien's heart.
  11. Septimus's compounded Zinc gave him the reactions he would need. He remained silent as Rhazien's brass knuckles grazed his face, and sunk Rhazien into the floor.
