  1. But I don’t understand what tearing down the palace would achieve on that front. The Cryptic is in the walls but if they tear it down he’ll just go into the ground, no? Also, could it not just return to shadesmar? There’s quite a lot that doesn’t add up about the Cryptic situation in my opinion.
  2. I would guess that it would be. I can’t think of any logical way for it to be passed on to someone else. Maybe Moash’s next target?
  3. Hmm. I like this idea but there are a couple of things that make me think it’s probably not true. The first is that presumably the Stormfather would be able to tell the difference between Odium and an Unmade. The second is Dalinar experiencing the divine, burning power. That would seem to be beyond the capabilities of an Unmade. I wouldn’t say that I was disappointed with how Odium was portrayed but it did bother me a little that he was introduced so early in the series, meaning that Brandon has already played that card and obviously the mystery and menace that Odium poses has decreased going into the next book. Especially now that he seemingly has to avoid Dalinar.
  4. That particular simile that Honor uses is particularly interesting given the way that it appears that Renarin sees into the future. Maybe it’s more literal than it first appears.
  5. Is it possible that Naln being there maintained Szeth's squirehood with him being both the Herald and leader of the Skybreaker order? Maybe the Skybreaker who adopted him as a "squire" meant it more in the sense that she'd help him with his training etc. rather than his power being linked to hers?
  6. Apologies if this had already been brought up in the wake of WoR but I'm still pretty new to the forum. Is there any more advanced knowledge of larkins and what they do? They seem to feed on stormlight (which makes a banker having one as a pet a little bit irresponsible) and after Rysn kills the thief who was trying to steal the King's drop, her larkin absorbs its stormlight and she remarks that it has grown bigger. Do we know why it increased in size? And is it possible that there was a spren (maybe even an unmade) stored within the King's drop that Rysn's Larkin has become a vessel for?
  7. When it gets to his flashback book, we are going to have the longest chapter ever as he recounts his four and a half millennia of torture
  8. Just random questions: What do you think Hoid was asking for in the letters that we saw replies to in the epigraphs? Help against Odium? But would that involve those shards leaving their worlds? I'm also very curious to know what Odium's "conduit of freedom" in Thaylen City was. Was it merely Dalinar as his champion, or is there something else he wanted? I am really impressed by whichever courier service Hoid uses to deliver letters to all these shards. They really go the extra mile.
