    I think you need a living Shardblade to unlock an Oathgate, don't you? If all Szeth had access to were various Honorblades, he probably wouldn't have been able to get in through an Oathgate.

    But why would your first guess be "he's a dragon?" We've met Leras before in both HoA and Secret History. We know he's not a dragon. We don't even know if Cosmere dragons have wings.

    Dang. I was really hoping against hope that Lift and Shallan both die. Shallan's plotline was absolute deadweight until like midway through WoR, and even then she was unrelatable and insufferable. Reading anything from Lift's perspective is like scrubbing my brain with sandpaper. Less said about her the better. Honestly, I'm surprised Kaladin's chronic hero syndrome hasn't gotten him killed yet. He could easily die. Is Ialai alive? How many Sadeases (Sad Diseases lol) are even left?

    This post is interesting to me, because it's a complete 180 to what you said earlier in the thread. You sounded pretty convinced that trellium was Hemalurgy-only in it's current incarnation; what made you change your mind? Or am I misinterpreting what you mean?

    Sorry for the lack of response, I got caught up in the meming. I wonder what a person would have to do to be able to burn a foreign godmetal. Mistborn sDNA seems to be a sort of general "burn any burnable metal" set of instructions, so would the Mistborn just need to somehow gain a Connection to the foreign Shard itself? Or would the Shard have to make an alteration to the Mistborn directly?

    Ah, okay. Good idea, well-Munchkined. But with a whopping 32+ spikes, take care not to tick off any Shards if you value your free will.

    That's not how nicrosil works. I'm almost positive you can only store in it Investiture that you already have, in this case A-Nicrosil. It would make you an awesome team-player, but it won't just make you a Fullborn. The Bands of Mourning only worked like that because they were an amalgamation of unsealed metalminds of every Feruchemical metal, with the Allomancy of a Mistborn in the nicrosilmind portion.

    I'm pretty sure to charge a spike you don't need to do anything but stab the victim through the heart and kill them, but other than that your points are valid. That's another good reason to start out with A-Steel: we already know two bind points for certain. Either through the eye or the heart. Sure, you may still screw up and end up killing yourself, but at least you know what you're aiming for, and probably won't turn into a twisted monstrosity. Also, how counterproductive is it to gain Breaths through Hemalurgy? Just pop over to Nalthis and buy some, ya goon! (Just remember to declare them at Shadesmar Customs when you leave.)

    Do we actually know definitively that Tevidian wasn't a Mistborn? Plenty of noble mistborn had high-placed day jobs, after all.

    If stealing a Connection to a foreign Shard allows you to burn their godmetal, that might be an interesting ability to have. Imagine being the only edglium or bavadinium (or raysium) Misting in the world.
