  1. It’s exactly what he said he’d do.
  2. I think there’s some evidence for inanimate objects having a Spiritual component.
  3. I don’t think it’s supposed to be a claim that they are one of the Ten Fools, but a fool period.
  4. Personally I took Amaram’s reasoning that he couldn’t just ask Kaladin for the Shards because obviously he would be convinced by everyone else to ask for them back to be pretty clearly in bad faith.
  5. Lots of people have taken this to mean that he’s a Herald (Ishar).
  6. It doesn’t seem to make much sense for it to be Elantris when that period of time in its history lasted less than 20 years.
  7. Has the Nightwatcher ever granted a boon that specifically affected someone else?
  8. That’d certainly be a treat, have it turn out that the author was actually someone we’ve never known.
  9. I'm iffy on this theory because it relies on specific wording in a boon/bane when that seems to contradict how the Nightwatcher was told to work in WoK: that it wasn't a matter of wording your request correctly, but she just gives you what she thinks you deserve.
  10. Painrials only numb pain (they're a dminishing fabrial), and it doesn't make sense for something that's designed for physical pain to help with emotional pain , or the lack thereof, in this case.
  11. Well, now we know for sure that being a Bondsmith has nothing to do with Dalinar's memories coming back.
  12. I don't think so, there's no opportunity for him to have found out, and I think it would've been mentioned if they released the news that the Assassin in White had been killed.
  13. Other way around. Odium would rather appoint a champion than risk other Shards getting involved, according to the Stormfather at least.
  14. Eh, the entire reason the thing works is that it's a subclass of diminisher fabrials. For it to change to actual healing would be a major advance in technology and change in design philosophy, which I don't think could've occurred in the months? between the books, especially since it wasn't mentioned.
  15. I was under the impression that painrials don't actually heal, they just numb pain. WoK:
  16. Isn't there WoB that no Parshmen were Radiants?
  17. Didn't she also use it on Adolin back in WoK?
  18. So defeating Odium's champion is only going to buy them time. I guess we now know what'll lead to the gap between the two different "eras".
  19. Nightblood was apparently inspired by Shardblades.
  20. Well that was a pretty big bait-and-switch with the squires in the chapter name.
  21. Again, I fail to see how such a poorly conceived and executed plan with no real malice behind it could really serve as the evidence for the extremely well-calculated and performed duplicity you claim is going on. Might as well say Shallan acting like a Horneater princess is evidence that she's hiding the fact that she's secretly a racist who hates darkeyes.
  22. I honestly don't know what you're talking about here. Are you referring to the cut girthstrap? Because that wasn't even intended to try and manipulate Dalinar into giving up authority, it was just a half-baked plan to try and get Dalinar or Sadeas to believe the king's paranoia (unless you believe that Elhokar honestly has the strength of character to spin a lie like that right as Dalinar was one push away from murdering him). And as Dalinar mentioned, it was ridiculously stupid in ways that Elhokar didn't even think about. And even then, one incident does not a pattern of deceit make.
  23. The text seems to indicate otherwise though: Dalinar thinks to himself about how he has been rejected by the kingdom that he fought to unite, and Elhokar says that he will still have authority over the highprinces when in Alethkar, indicating that he will remain the highest authority over Alethkar itself.
