  1. Which lines up with the letter we got from Harmony in Rhythm of War quite nicely as well.
  2. That guard at the Ghostblood hideout went down way too easily. You'd think they'd at least have a Medalion or something in case I don't know, a group of Lightweavers showed up. It almost feels like they're letting Shallan in...
  3. Earlier in the preview chapters it sounded as if the enemy had access to the perpendicularity at the Horneater Peaks, so that's a possible entry point. They also have access to Transportation. As for the ships, do we know if you can manifest using Voidlight?
  4. I couldn't help but chuckle when Shallan said she was going to steal from the Ghostbloods. Kell really would love Shallan, too bad Mraize an Iyatil fumbled the bag so bad.
  5. On a smaller note, Roshar has Morse Code now, at least that was what jumped to my mind when they were using the Spanreed lights to send messages.
  6. Well, it seems to me at least that not even Hoid knows Felt is a Ghostblood. I feel like it would have been called out if he was among the sketches. Not sure how the Ghostbloods will get to the Spiritual Realm. Them being in Narak does worry me. Odium is such a big threat to everyone that I can't imagine Kelsier wants him to win. He should be aware of how dangerous that Shard is, as he has contacts on Sel and we know what he did to Devotion and Dominion. I keep feeling like a Ghostblood civil war is coming...
  7. The Newspaper Editor makes a mention of gold haired people who live in Bilming.
  8. Well, the fact that they weren't glowing also makes me doubt that they were any kind of Raidiant.
  9. I think we have a WOB that they weren't Skybreakers, but I'm having trouble finding it at the moment.
  10. The Passionspren showed up when Adolin and Shallan were in the shower.
  11. I wasn't surprised, they only listed two characters in the Interlude introductions.
  12. Well, that escalated quickly. I'm still not sold on Adolin being Odium's champion. Yeah, he has issues with Dalinar, but the Champion has to be willing, and I would think that would include knowing they're going to be part of the contest. I just don't see him selling all of Roshar down river to have it out with his dad. Gavinor seems more likely. He does want to "play swords" with Dalinar...
  13. Worldhoppers have some method of time dilation we aren't privy to at this time.
  14. The Ghostblood situation is getting more and more interesting. I don't know if we'll see the Ghostbloods in their current form in the back half of Stormlight, a lot of this is based of quotes in the Lost Metal, as well as the Felt Interlude. Felt is interesting because he's from Era 1 Scadrial, that makes it rather likely that he is one of the first Ghostbloods, a spymaster would be a good early recruit, and we know he works directly under Kel via the Interlude. He obviously has disdain for Iyatil, calling her a "masked witch", and that's not the first time we've seen someone in Kel's direct crew show disdain for her as noted in other posts she's considered to have "run amok" on Roshar, though this was misattributed to Kelsier it was actually TwinSoul that said it. Still, that's still two Ghostbloods who work very close to Kelsier in all likelihood disapproving of Iyatil. Felt's presence on Roshar separate from the Rosharan branch may indicate that Kelsier doesn't fully trust said branch. Now to the really interesting part, in Lost Metal Kaise when listing worlds closed off to the Ghostbloods she said "Roshar, if you want to count it", that to me implies that they can go there, but choose not to. So, I'm thinking whatever operation we see in this book goes south, and Kelsier agrees to pull out of Roshar to make peace with Shallan and cuts the Rosharan branch off. Whether Mraise and/or Iyatil survive to make trouble in the back half is another matter.
  15. I'm kind of surprised Kelsier recruited Felt, considering he's a nobleman. Granted so, was Breeze, but he pretended to be half skaa.
  16. Personally, I chalked it up to Windspren being more intelligent than Creationspren. We've heard that they are able to mimic speech and pull pranks, whereas until now we've only seen Creationspren mimic the shape of things in art. I could be totally off, however.
  17. Well, Lift has been rubbing off on Nightblood, for better or worse. Brandon likely feels we need that levity with Kaladin and Szeth together and Syl becoming more mature.
  18. It could also be the start of a Moash redemption arc, he considers Kal a brother. Of course, after Teft and Elhokar I don't want to see him redeemed, but I also don't want Kaladin and Adolin to fight...
  19. Fair enough. Also, I love Brandon leaning on the fourth wall. "You and I started this..." Kaladin and Shallan being the viewpoints of part 1 of WoK.
  20. I almost wish I hadn't read Sunlit Man; it made the scene with Sigzil extra painful. I admit a little confusion though, Shallan using Testament to operate the Oathgate? Correct me if I'm wrong as it's been some time since I read the end of WoR, but I thought you couldn't work an Oathgate with a Deadeye blade?
  21. I honestly don't see an issue with these chapters. We're still in Part 1, that's always been a lot of set up in these books. Yeah, we're at the chapter count where Way of Kings and Words of Radiance part 1 ended, but since I doubt the preview chapters are going to take us into part 2, it's probably going to be closer to the length of Oathbringer's part 1 which was 32 chapters. Point being, I think things will pick up, we're just in the very early stages.
  22. All good points. It's not a theory to which I actually subscribe to, I believe it is the Stormfather. It's just that the only new thing on at this point Braize is the Everstorm
  23. I had a thought, that maybe it was Odium giving Gavilar the visions, and he was worried about a Herald dying, breaking and getting the word about the Everstorm out before it was ready.
  24. That's a fair point.
  25. So, what do people think about the removal of the mention of Chana's hair? I don't think it deconfirms Chana Davar, Brandon's likely trying to make it less obvious, but I don't think he can put that genie back in the bottle.
