Did anyone else see that they did the Bridge Four salute??

The book says that the humans destroyed their own world and then came to Roshar, and we know Sel is perfectly viable. There are three Rocky. planets in the Rosharan system; Ashyn, Roshar, and Braize. Odium is on Braize, which means they most likely came from Ashyn, which they now refer to as the Tranquiline Halls. I'm pretty sure there's a WoB out there somewhere confirming that Ashyn is essentially Mustafar now but it makes the most sense in my eyes.

I think a question we need to ask is, "Who even has the potential to have received a spike?" There are plenty of characters in the Cosmere that could be candidates for having a spike, but do we know if it's possible for all of them to have even been spiked? How could someone, say, in the distant lands of Shinovar or the island of Patji even know about spikes? So, did they spike themselves? Did a worldhopper or kandra from Scadrial spike them? Someone we don't know about yet? Hoid? KELSIER?! My phrasing is a little weird, but hopefully you can understand what I'm getting at.

By "Dark Alley" do you mean Sesame Street?

After those I would definitely read Elantris, it's Brandon's first Stormlight book and it's got some good stuff. If you're still digging the Cosmere after that (and who wouldn't be??) then Arcanum Unbounded is a great place to go, it's got new Shardworlds to see and revisits some old ones. The Era 2 Mistborn books are also fantastic, it delves deeper into the ways of the Metallic Arts and introduces some really cool concepts. Essentially, if you see a book with the name Brandon Sanderson on it, READ IT. XD As for MAG, I can't tell you anything about it but would love to try it out sometime!

Favorite character? Wayne's humor and the way he just... is, never ceases to delight me. But in all seriousness, I like Elend. I really like Elend. As for my favorite scene... Well, I've gotta say the end of the Hero of Ages left me reeling in a way no other book had before. I mean, in what other book do I gotta say, I was speechless. Nay, I was thoughtless. Metabolism-less. I think my body stopped working for a few seconds upon the completion of that book. So yeah, definitely my favorite scene XD

Like I said, I read WoK first and was fine. Brandon wrote the Cosmere books to be independent of each other, so anyone could pick up on any series and be perfectly fine reading it; the lore connecting them all is meant for the dedicated readers to make connections between the worlds. So by reading Warbreaker first you could probably pick up on a few very minor details in WoK but they're fairly trivial and won't prevent you from enjoying the book in the way Brandon meant you to. Does that make sense? I definitely agree with what @Shqueevessaid

Welcome to the Shard @Weyah! That's a tough question! I read Way of Kings before Warbreaker and it served me pretty well. If you've got Sandersonitis then go with WoK cause it's a little more intense than Warbreaker. But there's a few allusions to Warbreaker in the Words of Radiance (I'm not sure about WoK) so if you want to be in-the-know on a couple minor details I would go with Warbreaker. Sorry if this doesn't help XD

A cookie? I think I'm failing to understand the concept here... Does this site use lots of cookies or is this something else we're talking about? As for whether I enjoy Mistborn or Sa better, here's the deal: I must admit I'm partial to Mistborn because I read it first, but I also love it because the character development is unlike anything I've ever seen (at least in the first trilogy), the magic system is overwhelmingly intense, exciting, and complex, and the plot sequences, large and small, are profound and enthralling. Where Mistborn lacks in culture and worldbuilding, Brandon seriously outdoes it in SA. The lore, language, customs, appearance, religion, and social systems of the various countries on Roshar are amazing. I believe when Brandon is done with the series I will love it more, simply because I'll understand the magic system better and because the characters will flush out a little more. As if they haven't yet already haha *clears throat at Shallan and Kaladin*

I figured I couldn't call myself a true fan of Brandon Sanderson until I got a 17th Shard account. I've read pretty much everything by him (except White Sand and some of the non-cosmere novellas) and would like to say I'm rather proficient in my understanding of the Comere but in reality that's probably very untrue. Anyways, hoping not to spark a heated debate here, but quick question: Mistborn or Stormlight Archive?
