Definitely not 130 points worth of weaknesses there so yeah this is going to need to be submitted as an OP character and voted on.

None that are mandatory other than their knowledge of events changing due to the events themselves changing. Other than that you only have to change what you want to. I believe the Plasmacore incident is being removed in its entirety, but I could be mistaken. At the least it would have been drastically altered to be of smaller scale. Character changes can be as drastic as you want, some characters are swapping guilds entirely, opportunity for deceased characters to return, pretty much anything is technically possible.

It's been a while. *Cracks knuckles* Deadspot Total: 140 points, Approved. (Might be nice to add some other non-Epic weakness to the character though) Sorgin Total: 120 + ?? (Fighting) Gonna be cutting it close here, could be average - skilled as a fighter in one form of combat but probably not proficient in multiple. So would need to decide on melee weapons, unarmed or projectile weapons.

Well now my decision has been made, no amount of loving Elantris can make up for this statement. -
Software which reads the contents of a screen out loud. Always.

None that managed to achieve the awe-inspiring rank of 'Rotting Chasmfiend Corpse' though. Only one has achieved that honour.

"Almost there" Nox replied. They were striding along at a faster pace now as he and Vivica rushed forwards in an attempt to outrun what they both knew was behind. "Just one more Alley." The scenery changed about them once more, to a narrow alleyway enclosed by two featureless cobblestone walls with not a doorway or a side passage in sight. Just a plain stone floor, the walls covered by little pieces of vines and other greenery that attempted to climb them, and the sky, an endless roiling void above them. Nox didn't slow his pace, moving forwards while holding Vivica by the arm, ready to pull her forwards if she stopped to look behind them. But she didn't, neither of them did. They didn't need to look to know what would be there, maybe close, maybe farther away, but it would be there, hunting them down as it devoured the stone of the alleys. "Here." Nox said, pausing at last before an inconspicuous fern that was sprouting from a crack in the corner of the wall and ground. He pulled the fern to one side to reveal a small hole in the wall, cracks spinning out from the centre to the edges of the area covered by the fern, with the shadows cast from the ambient light of the Alleys it could be hard to notice, but once you knew it was there it was difficult to miss. "Come on." Nox said, panic creeping into his voice as he wondered how close the fire would be able to get while they waited here. He darted forwards to the wall, seeming far too large to fit in the small gap that he'd uncovered, but as soon as one fought touched the darkness that lay there, his entire figure was sucked forwards and vanished, pulling Vivica along with him. They reappeared together, Nox still holding onto Vivica's arm in a panicked grip, but as he saw that they'd arrived he began to relax. He still held on, in case they needed to move again with any speed, but they should be okay here for a time at least. "Safe." Nox said, relieved. The word seemed to vanish into the darkness around them, the empty void that extended in every direction without any break other than the two of them who were currently floating in the middle of it. A stabilised area in between the Alleys, as close as one could get to the true Void without being destroyed by it, it had always been somewhere that had relaxed Voidus. Expelling a breath that he hadn't realized he'd been holding, Nox slumped into the weightless embrace of the void. He idly held up the notebook that Vivica had handed him and began to flick through the pages.

The spren smiled up at Temeria, enthusiasm and excitement suffusing its entire body. Little sparks of energy periodically burst out from it, it's joy literally too much to contain in a single, stable form. "What is your name?": Temeria asked, lifting the spren up to eye level. The spren's eyes connected with hers, searching for something within them before its smile widened still further. "Ember." The spren replied, voice low and rolling. "I am Ember, Temeria." Ember tried to contain his excitement, the sense of satisfaction at having achieved, at least in part, what it had set out to do. He could only faintly remember setting out now, but the memories would return with time now that he had formed a bond. He would give Temeria something, and receive something back in turn, a connection which would allow him to remain here without reverting to one of the simpler spren. "And I am very glad to have met you." The spren finished, still smiling. There was a moment of silence which was then suddenly broken as another figure spoke. Making a sound as though to clear its throat, though it didn't seem to have one, the construct looked at the scene with a curious expression. "Interesting." It said politely. "This is my first time seeing someone bond a spren up close before." @Sorana

Welcome to the Alleyverse! Just to add on to the response about time, though ITIAH pretty much covered it, there is a current 'max' time that someone could be from which is whenever the most recent book has been published (conveniently) but a character can be from any previous point in Shardworld history. We've got plenty of both era 1 and era 2 Mistborn characters, etc. Basically the 'current time' is what time it would be if you went from the AV back to a Shardworld but due to time being wibbly wobbly and timey wimey, you can be from any time period. Now I'll stop because it's possible I've already made this more confusing instead of simpler. Looking forward to seeing you around the RP, let us know if you have any questions. @I think I am here., myself ( @Voidus ) and @Sorana are the mods for the RP so feel free to message or tag us if you need anything, but we have an amazing community who will all help out too.

I will say the main issue with Elantris was the pacing, Brandon was being experimental with the structure and it didn't pay off but I don't view the writing or the characters themselves as bad. Raoden is a bit of a generic man-of-the-people protagonist but he kind of needed to be for the arc of him being broken to work, by improving the pacing and trying something a little different we eventually got Kaladin. -

Well now this puts me in a dilemma, Elantris is much undervalued compared to other books. -
I believe it was determined at 6 months, not sure where the post is though.

Laurelai felt a tug of force that was at once gentle and also entirely inexorable. It was not the harsh lash of will that the Stranger had pulled her from the waters with, but it also brooked no argument now that they had agreed. A polite insistent whirl of force that tried to whisk her away, but as it did she felt something holding her back still, something tethered her to the chapel. Time stretched as she dwelt in some in-between state of transportation. Wishing that she had a mouth to scream with, Laurelai steeled herself as she felt that tether agonizingly wrenched away, like a tooth being extracted without painkillers. Each strand of the tether were snapped one by one until only one thin fibre still connected her to the mysterious waters of the chapel. Gasping as they rematerialized, Laurelai sucked in a deep breath in relief. The air helped to cool her down, suppressing the sudden flush of heat and tension that had hit her in that moment of transit. But the cool air did nothing for the lingering ache she felt, like some part of her soul had been stretched and partially severed with only a thin strand still connecting her to the waters. “Hell of a day,” Lita said “Though I did promise you something more exciting than the Department of Records.” "Once again I'm reminded that the DA has little sense of subtlety." Laurelai said, mirroring Lita's weary smile "It's either bookkeeping or some world-shattering experiment and a chapel of ancient forbidden knowledge. Never any middle-ground." She fixed her cheek muscles in place, holding the smile even after it would have faded. The familiar action gave her small comfort, something to cling onto as she tried to sort through the chaotic whirlwind of emotions and contradicting thoughts that still flooded her mind. But the smile slipped as Laurelai locked eyes with Lita, a twinge of guilt as she tried to wear a plastered on expression while talking to her friend. There was a moment of awkward silence, she felt that Lita too was on the verge of saying something, but they both remained silent. The silence seemed to press in around them until Lita finally broke off, investigating the room that they found themselves in. Flaring her tin and extending out her senses as Laurelai waited in the silence, wondering if Lita could hear the forceful beating of her heart, could sense the empty spot inside of her where that connection to the waters had been torn out. She nodded when Lita said they were alone here, she doubted anyone would intrude on the Strangers project without permission and he had been too secretive about this to have invited others already in on it, the Waters had scared him somehow, made him worry that they'd have realised what he was doing? But there would be other ways to keep them silent, even if they'd already found out. Laurelai doubted anyone would raise a voice if the Stranger caused two denizens to vanish without explanation. "Sorry for the delay." The Stranger said, causing Laurelai to jump as he was suddenly simply there with them. "We are deep within the Alleys and I had to make sure that everything was secure.Once again I must stress how important it is that you don't breathe a word of this outside of this Alley. What I am doing is a secret to everyone. And I mean Everyone." So why then would he invite them? He had seemed to take a bit of a liking to Lita, but if his work was as important as he said then surely that wouldn't matter. And even if it did, why bring Laurelai as well? "Not even Voidus knows what I am working on, and that is for his own benefit, as well as the entirety of the World." The Stranger continued. A secret from Voidus? Laurelai imagined there were probably plenty of projects that Voidus didn't take any interest in, possibly some that he wasn't even aware of. But to actively keep it a secret from him? Only the head of the R&D department would even attempt something so dangerous. What could possibly be so important that it was kept a secret from Voidus, yet that the Stranger would still feel comfortable sharing with them? "I am creating a simulation of sorts, the likes of which is unparalleled. Tell me, what do you two know about the World Spike?" Laurelai felt an eyebrow raise at the unexpected question, curiosity magnifying a thousandfold already. If the Stranger was planning something to do with the Worldspike then surely it was even more important that Voidus be aware of it. Lita hesitated only a moment before beginning to answer and Laurelai found herself nodding along at the succinct summary that she gave. Absently she felt herself beginning to speak as well, adding on out of habit drilled into her at the department of records. "A stability spike some have called it." She added. "Keeping the world in a stable state despite having so many connections to other worlds. Often misinterpreted as a spike which somehow created the universe itself. Creating such a spike was attempted as well, but stabilising an existing universe proved simpler." She blinked towards the end, realising she was speaking in a somewhat lecturing tone as her concentration slipped. She was also acutely aware that she was speaking to someone who had likely been present at its creation, most of the records of the Strangers experiments back then were kept under lock and key but she'd read the records for the creation of the Worldspike, notes from both the Stranger and Voidus had been all over it. "I believe there was a drinking party to celebrate after it's creation?" She asked, more question than statement this time and he mouth curled into an amused smile. Some of her tension left her as she imagined that scene, Voidus and the Stranger throwing an arm around each other as they admired their work. It was difficult to picture, and even when she tried she could only imagine a grim vaguely-satisfied expression on Voidus' face, but the Stranger surely had been celebrating with his friend hadn't he? Something clicked in her mind at that moment, the smile freezing in place. The Stranger was friends with Voidus, they'd known each other for longer than she'd been alive. Possibly longer than anyone had been alive for all she knew. So the Stranger probably knew things about Voidus that no one else did. Secret things, like whether or not he had a family. Laurelai felt her heart speed up, the smile widening a little further as she stared intently at the Stranger. Was her guess correct after all? It had taken a while to notice the similarities, the strange coincidences and connections. But she had eventually begun to suspect that Voidus had not been staring at her out of malice but out of some protective instinct. Could she really be related to him? And did the Stranger know? @ZincAboutIt @Fatebreaker

Nox gave Vivica a tense smile, taking her outstretched hand as Bennington wrapped around them. He could still hear the flames, distant but approaching. Always approaching. He still remembered what he had known moments ago, that there was no fire. But at the same time he was also acutely aware that it was there now and had been there then. Being thrown into Vivica's perception of the world with little context was proving a little disorienting. "A few safe places." Nox replied. "But the nearest..." Holding onto Vivica's hand he began moving forwards, along the path she'd already laid out through the Alleys. They stepped together into one of R&D's Alleys, the walls stained with countless centuries of blood, the layered sanguine scents briefly dispelled the stench of smoke and each of the steel doors placed haphazardly along the path would lead to a different research area. But none of those were what he was looking for, he needed another Alley, not too far from here, just a little twist. "What happened?" He asked. "You mentioned Grey, are they..." He was briefly overwhelmed by a vision of the denizen being engulfed by roaring flames before he managed to rid himself of the thought. "Did they get out?" @ZincAboutIt

"Life before death." The spren perked up, leaning forward to peer at Temeria. It began to flicker chaotically, brightening beyond its previous merry glow, instead pulsing with white light from within in a rapid beat. It wanted to throw off sparks like fire, or leap around with excitement like the children in the square had. But it was still staring at Temeria with rapt attention, trembling slightly but otherwise still. "Strength," Temeria continued before pausing for an almost unbearable time. "before weakness." The spren hummed in satisfaction. It felt its heat rising as Temeria spoke, not hot enough to burn but hotter than normal. The heat of worked muscle, of a sword left in the sun all day. The heat of an ember that was building into true flame. "Journey before destination." The spren formed into a more clearly defined form that it had previously managed, the wisps of light that made up its figure resolving into a definite face that was grinning exuberantly as the final words rang across it. It flared into a bright white light as Stormlight streamed from the few nearby brackets that held infused spheres, the light surged towards the two of them. "Radiant." The spren crackled happily as the light flowed into Temeria.

Voidus gently removed the notebook from Vivica's grip as she held it out, feeling a strange sense of familiar calm as he took hold of it and Vivica's trembling hand let go. He nodded along as she spoke, letting her finish her explanations without interruption. She seemed to calm a little as she explained what she could, staring off into some scene that only she could currently see or understand. "I am Vivica." She said quietly, not seeming aware that she was still speaking. "I am twenty-eight. I am in- Alley 681-T. Current count is 113 apparitions. Research and Development. It has been eleven years, six months and eighteen days since I last slept." She seemed to come to again after speaking this mantra, or perhaps she was simply answering the questions posed by some other hallucinatory companion. Voidus briefly wondered whether he should simply pretend to see them as well, but discounted that course. He was being selfish enough in not disclosing who he was, making a mockery of her mind would not benefit either of them. "The list is important." Vivica said, more firmly as Voidus removed the noepad from her grasp. He gave another nod, holding her eyes and giving her another moment if she needed to continue. But as the silence stretched for a few more moments it seemed that she was waiting for something. "They are indeed." He said gently, his own gaze drifting towards the distance for a moment. "Remember the list." I am Voidus. And I promised to find my daughter again. Shorter than Vivica's list, but perhaps there'd once been more on Voidus' list as well, things that he'd forgotten over an endless age floating in nothing. Unsure whether he found the thought reassuring or terrifying, Voidus shook his head to clear it, and without pausing to hesitate any longer he pulled the spike from a pocket and pierced his bindpoint with it once more. Instantly the lingering scent of smoke filled his nostrils, not something that was always unusual in the Alleys nor anything that Voidus would generally be concerned about but suddenly it seemed terrifying. Some looming horror barely held at bay. Nox felt himself tense as he was slammed with a torrent of raw terror, even as it was subsiding it still felt ready to consume him. His eyes found Bennington floating reassuringly overhead, watching over both he and Vivica. "It's good to see you again Bennington." Nox greeted, giving Bennington a nod of the head before looking towards Vivica and amending himself. "To see you both. It's fading now isn't it? It's safe to talk for now." @ZincAboutIt

Laurelai could feel the cool air of the underground brushing against her, brushing lightly against her skin and being pulled into her lungs as she tried to maintain a regular breathing pattern. She could smell the slightly damp stone from around them, the dirt that had collected on her clothes as they'd travelled here. She could hear her heart beating in her ears, the pulses faster than normal. But none of that mattered. All that mattered was what she could see, the gently trickling droplets of azure liquid falling down to land perfectly inside the pool in front of them. The Chapel of Rain they had called it, Laurelai could understand why someone would call this a chapel. She'd always known about the Shards and other powerful beings of godlike power, but she had never particularly taken to any religion, when there were dozens of different worlds each with a different religion and all clamouring that there's was the correct one it was hard for her to rationalise accepting one over the others. But this room, the droplets being inexorably drawn into the pool. She felt the draw of the waters, a connection beyond any physical influence. This was no simple drug or Allomantic pulse of emotion. The waters had the answers, all the answers. They could confirm her hunch about her parentage, answer where her powers came from, why she had decided to visit the Nightwatcher and any other question she could even think to ask. All she had to do would be to step under the waters once again, and she would gain all the answers. Knowledge was power to a Forger, and the waters promised all the knowledge she could stand to obtain and more. Her pulse quickened further as she stared into the depths, the rest of the world darkened into a tunnel that led back to the pool, guiding her to where she needed to go. It was so simple, just a few short steps and she would be there. "But it is also undeniably dangerous, and so must be studied with caution and secrecy. You are to speak to no one of this, Denizen or otherwise." The Stranger said, voice strangely distant and echoing. Laurelai absently nodded, eyes still fixed to the pool. Her legs wavered as she felt the pull wash over her, almost a physical force dragging her forwards. It was only after she'd nodded that she realised what the Stranger had said, but that didn't matter. She wasn't going to speak of this to anyone else anyway, if other people knew they might try to step under the waters as well. Might try to gain their knowledge in her place. She felt a slight trickle of sweat beading at one temple before running along her cheek, the only moisture that clung to her despite having been submerged beneath the rains. The Stranger stepped forward, looking into the poo,l and Laurelai felt an almost overwhelming urge to leap forward, to push him back so that she could fall in before he got the chance. He was the head of the research department for the DA, surely he could not pass up the opportunity to taste what the waters could give? Was that why he'd told her to leave? So that he could have them to himself? Laurelai's gaze flickered away from the waters, staring at the Strangers back with a flash of suspicion and jealousy. She couldn't fight the Stranger, if he wanted to take the waters then she had no way to stop him. But maybe if she used the knowledge they gave... "Now I offer you both an opportunity the likes of which you have never dreamed, and will never encounter again." The Stranger said, blessedly turning his back to the waters. "I am engaged in an experiment the likes of which the world has never seen. I offer you the chance to gain knowledge and power beyond your ken, and the opportunity to carve your mark in the annals of history. So what say you? Will you join me in the pursuit of knowledge, of secrets, of Science?" Knowledge and power? Laurelai didn't usually consider herself power-hungry, she'd had plenty of opportunities in the DA to gain more power and had passed them up. Simply spiking yourself and gaining some new form of Investiture might intimidate people, might make life easier, but it held little interest to her. That kind of power had its consequences. But knowledge, understanding the what and why, that was true power. Power that couldn't be taken away, that enriched you beyond what any metalmind could. The Stranger offered her that. But his words rang hollow, with the water right behind him, still within her sight. The waters could provide more knowledge than he could, he'd feared them enough to travel here when he felt whatever Lita had learned. He offered knowledge, but Laurelai knew a way now to take it without being beholden to anyone. She felt her heartbeat pick up again, a rapid drumbeat in her ears urging her forward, to make haste. The world continued to darken, even the Stranger becoming vague and indistinct until all she could see was a shining blue pool of liquid. “Laurelai" A voice said, a quiet whisper breaking through the darkness and the deafening sound of her own pulse. “Come with me.” She saw a figure appear, becoming clearer as her focus was broken. Lita, holding out a hand towards her in offer. The slight shake in her voice had turned the statement into a half-question, unsure what Laurelai would do. Laurelai stared back into her eyes, trying to understand. It seemed harder to understand her now than it had been when she'd first found the woman in that tavern all those months ago. The hand was an offer, a call to try to understand once again. But... The waters of the well glistened close by, they could let her understand as well. Clarity, simple understanding not masked by any duplicitous intention, veiled threats or lies. Laurelai had studied people all of her life, she knew better than most that they were impossible to truly understand. She might come close, even getting an Essence Mark that would take for a full day. But she'd always thought that the reason Essence Marks never lasted as long as other stamps was that it was impossible to truly and perfectly know a person. But the waters didn't lie, didn't conceal, they would show her the truth and nothing more. Her face turned halfway between the two, eyes moving back and forth between Lita and the pool as her mind sped up. Her forehead became damp as more beads of perspiration appeared, her breathing quickened until her lungs began to hurt. She could feel the pull from the pool, but also from Lita. It was subtler, not nearly so powerful or so noticeable. By all rights the overpowering draw of the pool should have won the struggle in an instant. But still Laurelai hesitated, Lita held the last faint connection that held Laurelai to the world, the cruel and chaotic world outside. Why should she choose that world? The world in the waters was so much simpler, it was clear with no darkness or murk to frighten, no people to confuse her, no questions unanswered. As she looked towards Lita's hand, Laurelai recalled a flash of the night when the city had been attacked. When the two had shared drinks in the tavern, both red-faced and laughing at themselves and the world. Sharing a glorious moment of joy and laughter, uncertain if the tavern they were in would be the next building to collapse or burst into flames around them. Her leg wavered as she slowly lifted it, sliding it forward into the stone. It was slow, a physical effort to move herself, but as her foot landed it firmed. She stood, facing away from the pool and towards Lita, giving her friend a weary bittersweet smile. And nodded. "Of course." She said. Her voice was hoarse and strained, but she reached one shaking hand out, stepping forward and taking Lita's hand in hers before giving it a reassuring squeeze. "I wouldn't leave you two alone, someone needs to be around to remind him to let you turn your tin off before he spikes you." @ZincAboutIt @Fatebreaker

The spren stared intently at Temeria, its body was flickering with the effort of staying still but it knew that this was an important moment. It was worth taking time to do this properly, and not simply rush into it. Even if had realized that it could talk to Temeria and she could talk back, and even if the spren really wanted to jump up and keep talking right now, it needed to let Temeria speak, and the spren needed to listen to what she was saying. "You're no fire spren, are you?" She said quietly. The spren shook its head, it liked fire, and it liked fire spren. But it wasn't the same as they were, it was different. Fire spren were fun to be around when there was fire, but they weren't interested in much else. They weren't even that interested in what was on fire, and how the fire changed it. "If I say the words." Temeria said hesitantly, causing the spren to brighten in anticipation. "Will you stay?" She held onto the spren, supporting it in her hands. The spren enjoyed that, being close, connected. But just touching wasn't the same as being connected, and it needed to be connected to remember what to do. Temeria would give the spren something, give it words, and the spren would give her something in return. Light? Firelight? No, the light that made the fires. "Stay." The spren said, deliberately holding back the pace of its speech so it didn't rush. "Yes, need the words to stay. Can't be here without the words. But I want to be here, so we need the words. Needed to find someone to speak the words. Someone special."

Voidus followed hesitantly after Vivica, allowing her to pull him along by the arm as she moved through the dangers of the Alleys with a panicked grace, she had cast a few anxious glances behind them but a quick look revealed nothing visibly threatening them. "Dead, dead, dead. Everyone burned in the fire. Everyone but me. Not me. Never me." Vivica continued in a melodic voice that formed a discordant harmony with her harsh laughter echoing back down the Alleys. Raising a hand to a pocket, Voidus wrapped his fingers around a slender spike but hesitated. That would allow him to see the world as Vivica did, but given her panicked state that might not be the best idea, the spike went beyond mere visual replication after all. He would be experiencing whatever she saw exactly as she was, which might cause some complications if it led to him disintegrating an Alley. Soothing her might help, but the level of soothing required would be dangerous enough to a healthy mind, let alone one that was already this fragile. Almost any attempt to use Investiture ran the same risks, Spiking, Forgery, healing, any rushed attempt would do more harm than good. What did that leave? "Never you." Voidus echoed, moving forward so that Vivica didn't need to drag him. "Not you, you're not dying." He watched her carefully as he spoke, watching for any sudden shifts in her wild emotional state. He was not usually comfortable with trying to express empathy or understand others' perspectives. But then most people who were used to that would likely find Vivica's current behaviour perplexing, and Voidus was the only one here to be able to try. "You're alive." Voidus said quietly. "We're alive and awake. No dreams to hurt us here."
