  1. Nath responds to him. "I have been forced to intervene elsewhere in this inn. That is why this projection remains. It is an aspect of me you might say and in can respond as I would while the other issue is being dealt with."
  2. "How dreadfully impolite of me. I'm Nathrangking who among other things is the first son of magic and the originator of Mindscapes. My oath and word have been confirmed by the macrcosmos itself so you needn't trust my word alone. Unless you think that reality is no good guarantor for me. Fadran my friend created this place as a haven. I am one of its guardians and as such, this is one of the safest places if not the safest in all of existence for the boy."
  3. Nath's annoyance bubbles up. He vanishes in part from the kitchen with a semisolid projection remaining there while his true form appears in the void. "Ladies and gentlemen..." His eyes lock on the metal-handed man before settling on the child. Nath sends a warm soothing breeze to surround him and calm him. "You all want to protect the boy then prove it. A neutral third party should be allowed to keep him safe. Clearly while there are other parties looking to protect him they are inadequate to the task else we would not find ourselves here. I invoke my position as the first son of magic and swear to protect the boy until my dying breath so may it be done." A wave of energy envelopes the aether as if the macrocosmos were responding to him. Nath gives Fadran a look of we'll talk about this later. @Channelknight Fadran @Aes Sedai @The Aspiring Archivist
  4. "Ah yes, my friend from yesterday. Did you find what you were looking for?" "Have you been trapping primordial deities without me? There are many beings that would give me some level of trouble. If any of them especially those who know how to craft mindscapes anywhere near to my level of skill tried to assault us things would get ugly in a hurry." Nath allows age to fill his eyes as the girl from the shadows approaches. He conjures chairs for everyone, without breaking eye contact with her. There was something almost familiar about the way she carries herself. @Aes Sedai
  5. "All true enough I suppose. Though you know that as powerful as I am there are others who possess more power than I." Nath opens his eyes and turns his head toward Pyro and Klave. "Nath is my name."
  6. "You only get to be my age by taking every precaution. I would say that we should be setting the halls of this place to confuse anyone who enters without and invitation and proceed from there."
  7. Nath hears the voices upon the wind. He senses the danger unspoken and sends his voice to Fadran alone. "Perhaps we should see to your defenses. If forces are bold enough to attempt an attack here then they should be made to realize that unwelcome guests to this mindscape will not be tolerated." @Channelknight Fadran
  8. "I can certainly do so. Tell me, what does he like and where is he now?" Nath closes his eyes reaching deep into the fabrics of the mindscape. Subtly calling out to it and listening to it's song as it thrummed with power unrestrained.
  9. Nath produces two fine chairs of cherry wood and silk with no more than a thought. He sits in one and offers the other to Galard. "We have not been formally introduced. I am Nathrangking or Nath. I have gone by many titles and names however that is the one that I have gone by for the longest time."
  10. "Magic can solve some problems." The heat cooking the eggs modulates perfectly to cook the eggs quickly. "Especially in a place like this. It is also convenient when nourishment is not strictly necessary."
  11. Nath emerged from the shadows of another place and realm. Time passed differently for him in his mindscape and yet he knew when the day had risen in this other place. Perhaps his connection was stronger than he had thought. He ventured forth into the kitchen to see if anyone had made their way there.
  12. "You might say that." Amusement bubbling just beneath the surface. "Depending on the commands given it may be possible for even the untrained to affect this mindscape in limited ways."
  13. A glimmer appears in Nath's eyes. "Created by a mind no. More like... The stuff of mindscapes can be shaped using mind, will, and some magic. You can learn how anyone can make the attempt. True mastery takes a great deal of time. Limited control is also possible to learn given enough time. A mindscape can be commanded to obey all who enter which is likely the case here. Usually, guests in a foreign mindscape will not just be able to bend it to their will without significant skill, will, power or some combination of those things."
  14. "In many cases mindscapes can only really recombine the stuff that they are made of to create. In those cases the shapers can use limited infinity of the mindscape to make what they desire. However, in rare cases those who know the intricacies of the magic leave conservation of matter behind. In this case I may have been showing off just a little."
  15. Nath allows the smallest crease of amusement to touch the corners of his eyes. He takes a sip from his own glass before responding. "I commanded the mindscapes to create glasses of a particularly rare vintage of wine that I remember from my youth so many eons ago."
  16. "The principles are most unlike anything else. You could say that various magic systems owe mindscapes manipulation a great debt." He holds the glass out to Galard and creates a second in his other hand.
  17. "I just arrived myself. I have not seen him yet. He is around here somewhere though. I cannot check you in now. However, I have no doubt that when Fadran shows himself you and your friend will be able to share a room. Mindscapes tend to be malleable in the hands of those who know how to manipulate them." The air ripples and a glass of a most expensive vintage of wine appears in his hand.
  18. Nath's gaze does not waver. His mask stays firmly about him. He saw and heard what this man's companion said, but does not react. "Fadran is an old friend and the one who forged this mindscape. Icona is the deity whom he follows. They are the ones whom a friend of yours might think that you should speak to." He vaguely nods in Windaphra's direction.
  19. Nath's millennia-old golden form dims so as not to overpower mortal eyes. His fine garments of light shine with inner power. He turns toward the bubbly girl who addressed him. Nath bows slightly. "A pleasure to meet you Azra. My name is Nathrangking or Nath. It is always interesting to meet those who have learned how to travel in this place between the realms." He leaves the last part unanswered as the weight of the ages never quite escaped him though a small genuine smile plays across his face. For a moment he turns his head and pierces the shadows locking eyes with the young girl concealed within before nodding and then turning away. Nath turns toward the startled young man who was more than he appears and is followed by a creature of light. Nath does not show anything outwardly, but within he steels himself. "Tell me, why have you sought out Fadran and Icona?"
  20. Silently a glow appears. It is both soft and intense, ancient and newly born. From within it, Nath appears in the entrance hall having come from the way between realms to visit old friends.
  21. Only to pollen. The person below me is Hoid in disguise.
  22. Absolutely. The person below me prefers winter to summer.
  23. I have returned with a haiku in tow. Mirrored Tribute Fractured jewels shine. Gentle hands caress the light. Lake's sunset treasure.
  24. Parting the winds each movement sings a song without end.
