  1. I smile a little more strongly for a moment. "I have been alone for so long that I had forgotten such truths as these. I thank you for this in exchange I will give you two things. First, the secret to stopping me should the worst come to pass. A gold weapon forged at the moment of sunset can kill me. That alone will stop me. Second, I will give you a spirit forged connection as you have with Queen."
  2. Is that legal? Mountain goat farm
  3. I sigh internally as Fadran slows down so that we are walking side by side. I allow no emotions to surface. I nod my head in recognition. "For the first time in many centuries I have something akin to a family. Immortality is as much a curse as a blessing. My inability to save Eric or Icona weighs on me in ways that I have never before known. With all of my knowledge and power my limits have never been so clear. I have known so much destruction. You note my anger and you fear it. The truth is I fear it. I forget the fragility of it all." I give a wan smile. "I fear that I am not nearly as divine as I may appear. More importantly Fadran is how are you holding up?"
  4. Are you sure? The stairs are cluttered
  5. I follow my companions north. I stay toward the rear of the group not engaging anyone in conversation. It has been so long since I have had any whom I can truly call friends as the ancient gods are my witnesses I shall keep them safe or die trying. My senses are attuned to this strange realm. Every sensation reveals much.
  6. "I Hope that this is the case. However, better that we are prepared if all else fails."
  7. "I think we will need to find a way to compensate for his speed. I know a trick or two, but this one is wily we must be careful."
  8. The exotic vintage must be revealed!!
  9. Is not a roll a type of bread? It could be a french recipe.
  10. I nod. I close my eyes to hide the tears within. A moment later I begin to hum a tune just as ancient as the first, but far less melancholy. It's notes weave a hopeful tapestry. It floats upon the air creating a magic stronger than that of any deity. My mind calms as each layer builds upon the last.
  11. *Accepts a roll and begins to eat.*
  12. *Accepts part gratefully.*
  13. The tune dies in my throat as I hear the hurt in her voice. I open my eyes. When I speak my voice is little more than a whisper. "She may still live. For the moment she is beyond us. She is lost to us as others are lost to us. We have lost much. If she lives we will get her back." I sit in pensive silence.
  14. I don't usually make such mistakes. I have corrected the problem.
  15. *Takes the proffered win section.* Would you prefer just the end? I find the building to crescendo awesome.
  16. Excellent. *The 1812 begins to play.*
  17. *Celebrates. Classical music starts to play.*
