  1. The 17th Shard Forums: Just joking, of course. I haven't even mentioned the RP side of the Shard.
  2. This is what I'm leaning towards, basically because I want to be a part of the real-time theorizing going on. But it'll probably depend on how much time I can allot to the Shard when I'm back at school; if my courseload is as bad as I think it might be, I might have to not read the sample chapters just so I'm not as tempted to spend too much time on the Shard. Also, @Ammanas, that is absolutely fantastic.
  3. When your biggest moral/philosophical dilemma is whether to read the sample chapters for Oathbringer, or to wait for November for the full book.
  4. If this is in the second half of SA, it would be after the Warbreaker sequel too for sure. Maybe in that they awaken more metal things? Kind of loose speculation, but I did feel like it was referring to Awakening, but maybe not necessarily Nightblood. Nightblood on Scadrial could do serious damage, I think it would be easier to investigate mysterious deaths than ask people about talking tools.
  5. Thanks! Now I just have to remember what I was going to put there...
  6. @OrangeJedi, those are great. More Oathbringer: Problem I've run into on the Shard:

  8. It's from SA, Axies' interlude. I'd rather be a skaa, at least then you're not collared and can still have a family, even if life sucks. Would you rather be locked in a room with Egwene and Nynaeve complaining at you, or be locked in a room with Lift trying to eat all of your food?
  9. Your avatar was what reminded me to put that Toph specifically as Melon Lord is also my favorite. ...And Toph in general. Decisions on favorites are hard.
  10. Forgot to mention earlier, my favorites from Avatar: Last Airbender are Sokka and Zuko. Really everyone except Katara is my favorite in that show, but if I have to narrow it down...

    Hi

Alternatively you could always be a general fun discussions fan, or a lurker, or whatever you want C: Welcome to the Shard!
  12. welcome! Nice username!
  13. Are those the ones for Elsecallers? I don't quite remember. I just think Windrunners are awesome
  14. I liked Adolin because his viewpoints kept me from getting too bored during the Dalinar chapters (sorry Dalinar, I'm sure Oathbringer will help me love you). I think he's a good character, but still pretty overrated among the fandom.
  15. Lies. Delicious lies. All the Honorspren are shaking their heads right now. For that matter, you know you're a Sanderfan when you don't cheat, for fear of offending any Honorspren who might attempt to bond with you.
  16. this was what ultimately made my decision for Radiant over Mistborn. Plus, a spren also functions as a Swiss army weapon/tool that you can summon at will. That's pretty OP, whether in the Cosmere or the modern world. (I wonder if a spren could become a pen? Probably not because of the ink, but would be nice to not worry about losing those.)
  17. Alternatively, if you're a Lightweaver: "What am I? I'm terrified about finals."
  18. The second oath: I will write essays even for subjects I hate.
  19. Tesh, why is this not your avatar?? (Man, I stepped away from the Shard for a day and this thread exploded... I suppose, being a Sanderfan, I should not be surprised by this.) On the subject of college=desolations: Study before sleep. Knowledge before ignorance. Homework before procrastination. The Knights Collegiate must rise again.
  20. Thanks for keeping this thread alive guys! I'm a little bit technologically challenged so I have been trying to figure out how to make some memes, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
  21. Ventus is the one who wields backhand, though he and Roxas look exactly the same, I do like Roxas a lot better. Roxas/Axel/Xion friendship is probably my favorite group in the series, though again, I'm biased because I love Days. When it comes to characters in general, I've noticed I tend to like characters together where I don't care about them as much individually. For example, while I like the Avengers because of fun banter and stuff, there aren't any of them that I care for too much personally.
  22. Ah. In this case, I would probably give it to Marsh in a fair fight; if there were shenanigans involved, Vin might still pull through. After all, she did beat Zane when he was using atium. She could potentially wear out his speed through trickery, not sure though. I'm kind of just throwing out stuff on both sides now. I'm too indecisive to be much good at this. Too much like Ham I guess
  23. When you pray at night for Brandon's health and safety, so that he will live long enough to finish writing the Cosmere.
  24. @Shadowmancer You make a good point about Vin, considering also that hemalurgy's stolen powers are at least slightly weaker than the original. I think the reason I keep thinking Marsh has F-steel is because an Inquisitor qt the beginning of HoA had it, and I expected Marsh to have every power the other Inquisitors did. If he doesn't have that or a shardblade, Vin could win. I think she did actually defeat most of the Inquisitors in HoA before drawing on the mist, because she couldn't do that until Marsh ripped out her earring. The fact that Marsh has a known weakness in the linchpin spike does increase her chances.
