Devaan muttered, gliding over to Mac. "Hey Mac, I heard rumours about you guys giving a hedgehog a bunch of speed spikes so it could run around at the speed of sound, so I was thinking you open a pet shop with some creatures." Devaan landed next to Max. "You ok kid? A warzone ain't exactly the best place for you right now. Especially not on Hellbent's side."

Max was sent over the side. Devaan ran towards him and pulled up his pupil onto the fiend. "Stay down Max. I'll take care of this one" Devaan turned to the intercom and tapped the Aons on his forearms, creating a shield around him and Max. "Dusk!" He called out "Who's the other army leader?" Devaan needed a clearer picture of the war. And then he saw him and his blood froze "Hellbent?" Devaan asked, whirling on Max "you sided with Hellbent?" "Do you know who he was in the war?" "How is he still alive?" Devaan kept the barrier up, but then started storing his weight until he was gliding along with hellbent "After this is done, We need to have a nice, long talk with big, sharp weapons." He told Hellbent, gesturing to the stump where his foot used to be. "What are you doing leading an army, nightshade?"

Devaan stumbled out of an alley, his clothes torn, and his canton insignia removed. He was bleeding from several bite marks along his arms. He was glowing softly, barely using his Aonic energy yet. Just enough to heal him, the wounds slowly closed up. He scanned the area where he was, and noticed. What was that? A giant... thing. Stood before him. It resembled a chasm fiend, but it seemed to be packing much more firepower. I don't want to have to fight again You will. But why? Why do you think? Devaan sighed, and then steel pushed his way onto the top of the fiend, He reasoned that Max would be somewher- Oh there he is. Devaan dropped from the sky and stopped tapping his allomatic steel band. He glanced at Max, then at Dusk. "what's going on here?" He said in a gruff voice. His eyes were cold, hard and experienced. These were eyes that had seen their fare share of war. Devaan had entered yet another one.

Devaan saw the dagger coming a split second too late, it tore a gash through the right side of his cheek. He threw one more card, this time it landed right behind saraha, Then took out a small silvery cube, pressing a concealed button then throwing it at Saraha "Catch!" He called aloud as it sailed through the air.

Devaan looked at the vines and breathed in some stormlight, using regrowth on them to create a vine platform. He smiled and his hands blurred as he shot a card out at Saraha And another Then another. they kept coming, a flurry of cards, hastily thrown and sloppily aimed, but a couple should have come close to her. 12 cards in total flew through the air.

Devaan threw two more cards to either side of Saraha, aimed just next to her shoulders and then ran up to her, Devaan clenched his fists and made it look like he would go for an uppercut to the jaw.

Sloppy. That took too much time, you can't be pulling out a book in the middle of a fight. While Saraha was doing this, Devaan sent three more cards at Saraha then twisted his knee to avoid the dagger

Devaan kept his distance, spinning and catching the dagger and throwing another steel card, aimed at Sahara's kneecap.

Devaan quickly threw a bladed card at Saraha, it whistled through the air straight towards Saraha's left cheek.

Elantrian light from the Aons mingled with the stormlight steaming off of him. That, combined with his breath aura made Devaan glow iridescent. Devaan threw himself over the railing.
