Now is it just me... so we know the Parshendi can change, but how fast? We haven't seen a rapid transformation and most I've read states they need a highstorm. HOWEVER, we have seen rapid changes with Aimians through Axies. Yes he's doing small things such as writing on his skin, but he can change anything from stopping his ability to smell to banishing headaches and healing wounds. I could be way off, but perhaps they were in league with the voidbringers or something of the sorts. They seem like they can change "as the flame dances" more than the Parshendi can. And they seem like the type you would underestimate. Although, truth be told that also links well with dull form etc which would be seen as not very dangerous. It just seems like a possible link? The statement that they changed even as they fought them... and transform as the flame dances.. it insinuates rapid changes in the moment. That would link with needing to be redeemed, and also destroyed.

What if... the flute Wit gave Kaladin, which he then in turn lost, is a Dawnshard... a very wild speculative guess but it could be the reason why Wit is so displeased that Kaladin lost it, and it would be an amusing turn for the Dawnshard's not all to be weapons, just 'items' of extreme power. Perhaps what we saw Wit perform was only a glimpse and it's true potential is truly terrifying? There seems to be a huge amount linked to music/melodies/sounds in this world. Just a wild thought

I still remember the first time I read it (I'm on my 6th time through, I think) I actually burst out laughing after his tirade of abuse he so magnificently hurled at Sadeas! We also get a glimpse, just in our peripheral vision, of his motives. And anything I can learn about him, his past and his motives I will devour. Unlike the cookies, under sound advice. Does anyone hear those voices? Something about killing.... ah forget it, it's probably just my imagination.

Hi all, These are my first physical steps into the realm of the 17th Shard! (I've been watching you all, delving through your topics and discussions from the..cognitive realm(?)... creepy, I know.) Glad to meet the community! I'm a huge fantasy fanboy, and stumbled across Brandon about 6 years ago. Since I picked up that first series (Mistborn) I have read all his works, bar Alcatraz (which I'm sure I will someday), and have fallen in love with the Cosmere. If I had to pick a favourite, it would undoubtedly be The Stormlight Archive. You could almost say it has a, *ahem*, perfect pitch? Or hue? OK, fine.. I'll stop. It just resonates well with me and ticks all the right boxes (and then some). SO, I guess it goes without saying that we all love Brandon's books, so I guess I should say a little more about me? Radiant Order - An odd split (perhaps?) between Windrunner and Dustbringer. Metallic Art - Allomancy: Mistborn. Heightening - As long as both Brandon and I are of the fifth, so he can keep writing and I can keep reading forever, I'm fairly open minded.. Favourite Character - Wit/Hoid/Topaz/Drifter... etc. He is brilliant and there is going to be SO much more to learn. (I love secrets, hidden power/knowledge/mysteries etc). I'm sure you've heard it all before anyway. Just happy to be here! You'll most likely see me lurking around the Stormlight area, getting involved in theories, discussing things in FAR too much depth and trying to figure out how to transfer myself into the cosmere.
