  2. Lol @Shadows4Silence nice to meet you too. We're going to see Wonder Woman!!!!! Wooohooooo
  3. @CarolaDavar wow you know Kaladin? Can you introduce us? And can you ask him to give me lessons in the spear and Windrunning? I hear he's legendary with it.
  4. @Kaladinwillumarryme? Wow! We have a lot in common. I can relate to all of those things you put up there except for number 4 and 5 hehe. What kind of music do you like/play? Oh and one other thing: I hate hate hate comedy and romance movies, and I have no idea why people like anime and manga so much
  5. @Kaladinwillumarryme? Nice to meet you too! I love your username its awesome!!!! Lol I liked the LC a lot but I can understand why some people don't like them. Kai annoyed me a lot as well. (Am I the only person that goes YES!!!! whenever a girl hits/tells off a love interest that I don't like?) But he got better in the end. Another awesome series is Legend by Marie Lu! Its dystopian and is like my favorite series next to all Brandon Sanderson's books.
  6. I actually turn into a girl called Scarlet who has Fire abilities when I'm bored - but allow me to introduce myself. My name is Samar Kazan and I'm from a wealthy darkeyed family in Alethkar. I am also a Skybreaker/Coinshot with a spren called Era. I have nearly black/brown eyes and chestnut hair with gold streaks. Although I love Maths and Science, I drive my tutors mad because I cannot draw and am always sneaking off to spar with my brothers or watch the dueling grounds. I convinced one of my fathers guards to give me fighting lessons in the spear and hand-to-hand combat and everything else I could get him and my brothers to teach me. I do like dresses though... Just never could keep them decent and they are rather inconvenient. At night I sneak out of the window and practice Surgebinding. I never had a lot of friends because nobody really liked me, so I was lonely a lot. I left home when I was 17, after my mother died and did a lot of mercenary work. I met Tesh at Urithiru, and am now based there with the Surgefinders. A/N: this is what she SAYS. A general cover background story, of sorts so that people don't try to dig into her rather nasty past. At this present moment, only Cole (... and maybe some others...) seems to have any sort of inkling about her past.
  7. @Cluny the Scourge there are a number of those on this site....
  8. @Tesh Kholin haha I got my Mom into Stormlight Archive. She loved them! Goodnight then! Talk to you later (We're friends right?)
  9. @Tesh Kholin If you mean Cinder in the Lunar Chronicles, yes! those series are really good! Also Heartless by the same author was really good too. It made me so worked up!
  10. Sarah J. Maas - I loved the first two books but now its going a bit doooown! I guess thats what you get for getting too attached to characters; you get too upset when things go wrong!
  11. I haven't read that yet - I agree with you though the movie is great! right now I am watching Avatar and reading Throne of Glass. Have you read it?
  12. @Tesh Kholin My mom is always like "wait a minute - don't read that!" and I'm like "whoops! I finished it sorry!!!" I'm glad I'm not the only one thats young here - everyone else sounds so adult! We kids have to stick together lol Not a lot of people I know have read Brandon Sanderson books, and my best friend which I recently got onto them, has only just started reading them so I was thrilled to get on here and talk with all these people who are waaaaaay more BrandonSanderson crazy than me!
  13. Bravo @Tesh Kholin Agree 100% with both of those statements!!! Is 13 too young to be reading Brandon Sanderson novels? (Because who cares I'm reading them anyways )
  14. @andrewrobins aw so jealous! I live in NSW and I was actually going to be in Sydney the weekend after I was sooo sad I couldn't be there! Brandon Sanderson had better come back to Australia again soon.
  15. I am now confused as to whether this discussion is about whether Adolin/Dalinar's actions are morally/ethically right to us, or to Roshar. I think that who Dalinar was is horrible, but he has changed a lot and I love who he is now; I think that because of his past he may be able to understand his son's actions better, but it doesn't mean that he can't 'judge' his son for his actions.
  16. @StrikerEZ ah I see thanks
  17. Hm I can't seem to see it. What is it called?
  18. Question: (because this as good a place as any to ask) how do you get the words underneath your name? not your profile picture, the actual username.
  19. @Shadows4Silence no I have read Mistborn and loved it, SA is my favourite though. Firstborn is a short story that Tor published (I think). I really want to read Perfect State as well, and Snapshot.
  20. I think the thing I love most about Brandon Sanderson is that all his books are so different. Some authors (eg. John Flanagan) write awesome books, but every other series they write are almost exactly the same style, humour, and character roles. You can read all his books and get a good range of genres.
  21. Welcome to the Shard! I haven't read Firstborn yet. Is it good?
  22. Haha yeah, I suggest starting those after you have a bit more faith in Brandon Sanderson. I forced my older sister to read it and she grumbled that she didn't get it until like halfway through the first book - and then all of a sudden she loved it. And for the record, I have read many of Brandon Sanderson's books and I have yet to read a book that I don't like. (thankfully)
  23. Welcome! Have an up vote
  24. I don't think that he was very calculated. In the book it says something about "two men on the ground driven to a panic". I don't have my book right now, so I can't check; but to me it looks like Sadeas came at an insecure moment and prodded Adolin over the edge.
