Warbreaker is not a book? I'll look into it though, thanks for the suggestion -Wait it is a book, but it's off of Elantris, which I have not read. What does it have to do with Stormlight?-

If we told you what it had to do with Stormlight it would be spoiling a part of it. Just trust us when we recommend that you read Warbreaker first - it makes Words of Radiance just that much better. You also don't need to read Elantris before it so don't worry about that.

Mistborn's Era2 happens in the late half of Stormlight Archive.

But I see nothing that could connect the two stories at the point of Honor or Cultivation as Trellium's senders (by the way, Honor is gone so He could not send anything offworld).

On a last note, you seem to think that the "lost metal" and trellium are the same stuff, but we don't know it for sure.

Isn't the lost metal atium? I seem to remember people in Era 2 refer to atium as the lost metal multiple times. The unknown metal that was used to spike the kandra was just some other unknown-but-presumably godmetal. Might just be remembering wrong so feel free to correct me.

@Steeldancer Lets change this conversation. How could the Lord Ruler be beaten? I dont know enough about the Dustbringers to know if that would work.

I don't think the Lord Ruler could be beaten by any single person (excluding Shards of course). His combination of compounded speed/health/strength as well as atium makes him unstoppable. I think 10 or more full KR that compound steel could give him a problem, but even then he can just nuke them from a distance if he was aware of the danger presented by the shardblades. The guy is OP.

My number one OTTOBL (One True Trio of Blood Lust) is The Lord Ruler (At height of his power) Vs. Susebron (With a tongue) Vs. Full Knight Radiant Dalinar!

I can see it now! Each one, a champion of their given Shardworld, each one arguably among the most powerful of the kind of warrior their planet breeds! The Lord Ruler, with complete access to all of the Feruchemical and Allomantic powers, and at least a millennia to master them! Also possessing the entire population of Skaa, and a veritable army of inquisitors! Susebron, the GOD-KING with a MILLION breaths! Able to call upon vast armies of Lifeless statues! To awaken many hundreds if not THOUSANDS of Nightblood-like weapons! And of course, last but not least, DALINAR STORMING KHOLIN! A MAN WHO FORMED A NAHEL BOND WITH THE STORMFATHER! A MAN WHO UNITED ALL TEN HIGHPRINCES (and maybe kinda  had his son assassinate his rival XD)! AND A FREAKING BONDSMITH! POTENTIALLY COULD CALL UPON THE COMBINED ORDERS OF THE KNIGHTS RADIANT, AND WAS ALREADY A UNQUESTIONABLE STORMING BADASS WHEN HE SPOKE THE FIRST IDEAL!

Can you tell who I think would win? :D

And then the Lord Ruler compounds feruchemical speed and strength and kills everyone in less than a second. GGEZ

  5. I think it would depend entirely on how much stormlight they have. If they had access to an unlimited amount I suspect the limit would be around how much there bodies can handle and not how many lashings they have going.

Could they go faster than a steel feruchemist (forgot their official nickname)?

The nickname is Steelrunner and I'm not sure. A windrunner can only move at high speed in a direction (Eg: they can't move their limbs at superspeed like steel feruchemy lets you) but in terms of velocity I don't think we've seen an upper limit for either magic system - it all depends on the amount of speed stored or stormlight available.

My understanding is that it can be fought, or at least that it is less likely to happen unless the Listener (whatever form they are in) is open to it. This quote is quite informative.

Rlain was pretty impressive so I suspect he just fought it.

Thanks for the clarification, this has been bugging me for a while.

  7. So, as far as I understand, the Everstorm causes the parshmen to become voidbringers when it passes over them. So my question is, why was Rlain not affected at the end of WoR? I'm pretty sure the Everstorm was right on top of them - does it not affect listeners the same way it does parshmen? Just one point I've been wondering about for a while, thanks for any clarification.
