A common fan belief is that they will attempt to trap all the unmade in perfect gemstones. I was thinking that since Dalinar was inspired by the idea of trapping spren for fabrials, that a fabrial is made to take advantage the captured unmade. I even have an idea about its function. We know that the unmade can connect/influence those they interact. BAM was able to connect to the listerners so deeply, that when the connection was broken, their spirit web was so damaged , that they were crippled as were their descendants. My plan is use the unmade against the fused. BAM would provide a connection to them so deep, that they would have no defence against the power of the other unmade. The connection might be so strong, that it would be as if the unmade were directly present in the target. We have seen one host that fails to sustain the presence of a single unmade. Imagine the power of all nine unmade in the fused, it might be partially dispersed, but the fused are already said to be deeply damaged, the conflicting impulses and power could push them over the edge. Either forcing them to move on, or be transformed/reborn as something new, something akin to a pseudo thunderclast. Around half of the unmade are suspected to affect the mind/spirit, while the rest could provide a new physical form. The thing is the fused don't die if slain, so the unmade might be permanently trapped in binding with the fused. Usually the unmade can free move between hosts, and if not, most simply can not sustain them, so eventually self destruct. But directly binding to the fused, who lack a true physical form and can't die, mean they are stuck.

[OB] Why Soulcasting exists as a surge and a fabrial
.S.A.M.K.M replied to NightFrost's topic in Stormlight Archive
I wonder why the tower of the radiants had no devices housed in it. It would make sense if there were fabrials for all 10 surges. So where is the armory. -
If Aimia is such a secret and secured location, that they killed everyone who goes there. What would they do for beings that can not be killed? Their only alternate would be to imprison them. One of the unmade was said to be there.

[OB] Parshmen, Parshendi, and Bo-Ado-Mishram
.S.A.M.K.M replied to Brgst13's topic in Stormlight Archive
I am hoping that some how BAM could be used against the fused. Either to permanently cripple them in a manner similar to the parshmen, or simply use the connection to affect them all at once. The fused are apparently already heavily damaged, and unable to be healed. So if pushed just enough, they could be permanently taken off the playing field. -

If odium was so keen to get that king drop, why has he not tried to go after the ones the money changers have?

I wonder why those two human populations have listerner blood, if it was just the horn eaters peaks, I would attribute it to the unique nature of those mountains. But herdaz nothing special has been mentioned, except they are also a mountain range primarily.

Szeth, the Stone Shamans, and Taln's Honorblade

I wonder if the bond smith can rebound the oath pact. -
I wonder if the unmade messed with the humans causing them to move beyond the lands they were granted.

Szeth, the Stone Shamans, and Taln's Honorblade
.S.A.M.K.M replied to Calderis's topic in Stormlight Archive
What specificly marked the point in a desolation for when a herald had to go to damnation? All the fused sent away. The thing is the ever storm means they can always get a new form. What if then some how the heralds need to find a way to send the ever storm itself to damnation? Is killing a fused the only way to force it out of a vessel? if there was a way to drive them out, potentially enmass, it allows a chance for them to be dealt with. -
I wonder how much those money changers would charge to sell their perfect gemstones. is there any way for an awakened to take on listerner forms or mimic them somehow that would be cool?

I wonder if fused spirits would be a viable alternative. One of the nine versions is said to be permanent floaters.

Szeth, the Stone Shamans, and Taln's Honorblade
.S.A.M.K.M replied to Calderis's topic in Stormlight Archive
So far we have seen a couple of groups that had secrets and power. The sky breakers, ghost bloods, sons of honor and the diagram. The stone shamans might have heir own source of power and secrets. -
The returned can be said to survive on storm light, what happens if they are exposed to void light?

Don't forget some shards like to rewrite history or give very unique perspective on what happens around them?

Szeth, the Stone Shamans, and Taln's Honorblade
.S.A.M.K.M replied to Calderis's topic in Stormlight Archive
The stone shamans has to collect a blade, as truthless did technically die. So will they go for the one stolen from bridge four, believed to be in odium hands, the hidden blade of taln or possibly both. The shamans might believe all honor blades should be in their keeping. I wonder if they are aware of nale. Imagine if they tried to take his blade, they likely have some kind of arrangement/relationship. One only known to senior leadership. -
We know that humans are able to travel between worlds, what if some followers of odium made their way to Roshar and for some reason converted? Then when their homes were destroyed, they and other like minded survivors escaped and mass converted. It might be how they survived the disaster.

I wonder if the corrupter of spren could even corrupt those locations of power, do any new spren that emerge from there are already changed.

[OB] How Surgebinding destroys planets
.S.A.M.K.M replied to Lopens_Cousin's topic in Stormlight Archive
My pet theory is they damaged their old home by mis using the dawn shards, possibly even creating the modern form of the nine. They just seem do unbalanced individually that something had to have happened to force this on them. -
[OB] Ashyn = Tranquiline Halls?

Apart from cold, how else is damnation uninhabitable. I could totally see cultivation setting up a viable ecosystem here.- 33 replies

While rock has not yet decided to take up the shard blade, I could see him at least claiming the shard plate. No one in his home land has any shards at all, so the plate could be enough for king ship.

I have this idea that the devastation was caused when humans used the dawn shards, possibly to alter the nine for some reason.- 33 replies

Has Adolin ever actually said the knight vows yet? Simply reciting the first vow in a place of power, could create enough of a valid bond to allow maya to be healed once more.

theory [OB] How to Stop a Fused & Make a Parshman
.S.A.M.K.M replied to Wit Beyond Measure's topic in Stormlight Archive
I am so focused on my idea as the unmade are pieces of odium power so can't actually be killed. The fused are kinda a form of restless spirits unable to be truly slain. So there has to be someway to remove them as a threat even if they can't be killed. My theory would have them bound together, their power mixing and merging, offering them a chance of a kind of rebirth. And the use of all the fused and unmade is in the hope that they emerge somewhat more balanced than when they started. So while touched by odium power, not pushed to extremes. Sort of like how the Kandra are the result of ruin, yet they are generally a positive force. -
[OB Part One] Question about Urithiru and infusing spheres
.S.A.M.K.M replied to Frasure2's topic in Stormlight Archive
I am pretty sure the tower extend deep into the mountains. So parts far below could be exposed to storm light.
