Quick Fix Game 24: Eliminating Elysium
BrightnessRadiant replied to Sart's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay RP'd in the LG and now to post in here again lol (when you're holding a newborn so they'll sleep for several hours, you don't get to do much but sit and stare at a screen and make lots of posts lol) @randuir my other main suspicion is Drake too, but I can't remember all of the reasons so I was gonna go do analysis on him too... 1. I don't know why exactly, but this comment, though it was meant sarcastically, just came off sounding fake to me. (And I mean fake as in an elim just saying this for fun lol) But probably just a random gut feeling here hehe. Most of the "advice" he gave in that post seemed relatively sound, but not really that helpful. Just, use your own judgment and firebrands don't use your power early on. Also, he seemed to be pushing for all villagers to use cytonics and no role actions. Which, to me, seems a little useless since you have to actually target specific players to even block anything. 2. I don't really get the comment about Arinian's attitude not seeming right for an elim since all he'd really done was vote Ecth without giving a reason. (Which, I guess, an elim might be more careful not to do but still not much to go on whereas Yitzi was actually contributing a lot to the conversation and seemed to be actively trying to find a way to use cytonics to our advantage) I feel like his vote, and reasoning behind it, was simply trying to find something to say while helping to decide a lynch between 2 villagers. (I don't know if Yitzi is village, I was just starting to feel like he was and didn't want to lynch him cuz he seemed to be trying to help plan and add to the conversation even while the votes were piling up. I thought I should mention that a couple of players have already said "if Yitzi's evil than Brightness probably is too" but I feel like people are judging me too harshly for trying to save a villager who I actually put in jeopardy in the first place. I was the first to point out that his first plan had a major flaw and voted on him and several people followed. I just want to make sure that the elims don't kill yitzi, or hope he gets lynched just to take me down too.) 3. Okay this was already mentioned by Rand, but I'm doing analysis of all his posts so yeah lol... This post gives me a super elim vibe because it sounds like he never even considered the fact that the quick change could've been aided by the elims. I feel like Drake is a good enough player to have already thought of this on his own were he village. I thought of it looking suspicious when I decided to try and save Yitzi, but I decided it was worth the risk to try. I was shocked at how quickly every one supported my efforts, but it didn't make me suspect Yitzi too much cuz there wasn't very much resistance to actually lynching him in the first place. I figured if he was an elim he'd at least have made some sort of play to save himself. Lopen was one of the only players who kept insisting that yitzi might be village and I'm still a little suspicious of him for not trying to turn the lynch since he seemed pretty convinced that he wasn't an elim. To me, this post of Drake's sounds very much like he's trying to cast suspicion on the players who saved Yitzi. I guess that's all because he really hasn't posted that much lol At this point I'd really like to know Yitzi's alignment as well, but I don't know if there are anymore UIB agents or not.- 433 replies

Long Game 35: L35 Miserables
BrightnessRadiant replied to Haelbarde's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Oddly, I think I've voted on Straw for the first cycle of almost every game I've played so far...so I think I'll try not to this time unless absolutely necessary lol Yay first RP! ___________________________________________________ Alonine sat and stared at the barricade, the battle fire having calmed down for the moment. Why was she here? What foolishness had brought her to this revolution? Love. That was the only answer she had. But now? The one she had loved, enough to die for, was gone. Oh, he wasn't dead if that's what you were so morbidly thinking. No. He had fallen in love with another. Alonine sighed a long, deep, and sad sigh. Was she never to find love? Was she nev...Alonine stopped mid-thought (that's a thing right?). She saw a man, dark and brooding, standing guard at the edge of the barricade. He was quite handsome. And he was here for a noble cause, she was sure. He must be a good man. Perhaps, even a great man. A man she could love? She thought about talking to him, but she didn't know if she had the courage to start again. Instead she just sat there, trying to come up with clever introduction lines. _____________________________________________________ @StrikerEZ lolz there ya go, now you can add to my RP if you want cuz I finally posted it. (fyi don't anyone be surprised if Alonine never reciprocates anyone's affection. She's terribly fickle and totally oblivious when it comes to love. So, try all you want, but she's probably not gonna get it lol. As I said before the game started, she's slightly modeled off of Eponine so lots of "unrequited" love RP... even if it's just in her mind haha)- 1742 replies

Quick Fix Game 24: Eliminating Elysium
BrightnessRadiant replied to Sart's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ok I've been reading back through the thread and PK posted a lot about using cytonics but several things stick out as weird to me Emphasis my own. Why did you stray from this line of thinking? It was better for the village in my opinion. And then you also said that elims would probably use cytonics as much as possible, and then that we should too. But tbh cytonics don't really seem that helpful. If we ignored them we might just be back to a normal QF. The more we use them, the faster we lose our villagers who are trying to help. Except once Sart clarified that the UIB agent was an alignment scanner and several of us wanted them to start scanning, why would you use cytonics on a player who actually stated suspicion of you? It's not like an elim was gonna state suspicion of you and then kill you right after...at least he probably wouldn't send in the order. PK- True, that. Hit 'em while you're not suspected. Soooo it's not like you weren't aware of the UIB agents (I'm thinking you could've just put in your action to use cytonics and then never changed it later in the cycle which would make sense for a villager except for the fact that you had to exclusively target BB and he wasn't saying he was suspicious of you until the night cycle. (Which was after the UIB agent had been confirmed as an alignment scanner) Then there's the post where you said that people were "attacking" Ecth when the only other votes on him, besides yours, were a vote to encourage discussion, and then Arinian's unexplained vote (which was weird and the reason I voted on him lol). I can see how it could look like the elims were trying to pile votes onto a random villager, but I feel like you overreacted a little. That came off seeming like you knew his alignment already. All things considered, you are one of my biggest suspicions right now so PK Sorry for the double post, but no one has posted since I did last and I can't copy/paste a post with quotes on my tablet for some weird reason. Edit: I know I said "loads" of analysis, but I need sleep so I'll tell my other suspicions and stuff tomorrow- 433 replies

Long Game 35: L35 Miserables
BrightnessRadiant replied to Haelbarde's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So I actually lost my post again by trying to hit copy but instead hitting paste this day *shakes head Here's some game thoughts as promised (I hope they're helpful): Roles: The allomantic roles look pretty standard and I know some of this has probably already been covered, but I'd just like to give my thoughts on them and try to make sure everything's covered especially for the newer players 1. Tineyes- as I said before maybe they can just burn tin every other night to avoid wasting too many vials if they overlap each other (unless you think we'll really need pms on a certain cycle) 2. Soothers and Rioters- probably don't even need to use their powers unless there's a really critical lynch or you really want to save someone you trust. Honestly, these roles tend to draw a lot of suspicion even when village so just use discretion. You could try and frame someone by canceling a vote made on them (although if you get caught you'd probably get lynched for it lol)or you could try and get someone trusted by moving/canceling their vote. I feel like any sneakiness done by these roles would probably put you in danger though hehe 3. Smokers- would make the perfect "bodyguards" for the more important allomantic roles like the coinshot and tineyes. I would advise trying to find and protect them...not sure how to do that though especially since I really don't think the coinshot should be role claiming to anyone if possible. But you could just try to figure it out I guess and find them if you can. Also, you could really come in handy during a critical lynch by making sure your own vote can't be canceled or moved. 4. Seeker- this role would be helpful for narrowing down who has what roles so we can try and figure out what abilities the elims might have been given. You probably shouldn't share your role or information unless you think you might die or you find a relatively cleared villager. You should probably try and scan your biggest suspicions first, but remember if a player didn't "burn" any metals they may have just been hidden by the smoker. You might want to scan them twice. 5. Thug- I don't have much advice for the thugs, other than if you're village you should still defend yourself from the lynch like normal(instead of not caring if you get lynched because you won't die) so you can conserve your vials and force the elims to waste several hits on you. Plus, this will help the village to avoid wasting our lynch. Neutral/Other roles: 1. The pauper noble- (possibly orlok ) is probably getting targeted by the convict's ward soon, so he probably won't have much of a chance to use his regular role before he becomes neutral (I hope you still side with us!) 2. The Scavenger- don't forget to send in your actions, and try not to die lol...please (the coinshot could use those vials) 3. The Ringleader- Umm...choose wisely lol (we can really benefit or hurt from your extra kills) 4. The Parole Officer- give the guy a break will ya (seriously though...I'm watching for you trying to get rid of a player lol) 5. Escaped Convict- please join our mighty cause! We would love your help and extra protection of the other neutrals if they'll help too! 6. Convict's Ward- ummm please scan orlok this cycle so he can have extra protection from your papa lol (and you can all help us and we can protect you from the mean old parole officer haha) 7. Theif's child- protect orlok next cycle I guess lol...so he can be confirmed? And you can steal him from the Convict's Ward lolol (hey I'm biased towards the Eponine role ok ) 8. Thief- if you side with us we could probably spare a few vials (yes that is a bribe...did it work lol) I guess that's all for now...gonna do some RP now. I'll edit it in if no one posts after me for a while- 1742 replies

Huh? More wary of cloud? If you're referring to what I think you are...that wasn't me who said that lol. Although, I did say he was a great player I don't actually act on revenge even if I joke about it Edit: I'm glad I didn't die, because I totally forgot to list my suspicions at the end of the cycle like I said I was going to do...oops Edit #2 anyone have thoughts on which kill might have been the elim one?- 433 replies

Oh I'm not saying that I don't suspect straw at all, just that stink is voting on straw for something that he did similar (although admittedly straw might be going a little overboard) One thing I'm pretty sure of, they're not both elims anyways lol Edit: what I mean by that is either they're both village or one of them is an elim because of their reactions towards each other on day 1- 1742 replies

@STINK I'm not overly suspicious of someone searching for people to role claim (although I have role claimed to an elim cycle one before *cough @Elenion *cough), but it does seem strange that you're voting straw because of all the PMs he made when it seems you've made more than a few yourself- 1742 replies

Haha the straw vs. Stink voting is humorous for some reason sorry I don't really suspect either one that much yet...still waiting till I see more from this cycle until I vote Edit: stink did ask for my role in a pm and straw has made at least two pms with me in them, so don't know what y'all want to make of that, but just thought I'd confirm their claims lol- 1742 replies

Quick Fix Game 24: Eliminating Elysium
BrightnessRadiant replied to Sart's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay so I kinda think this idea is growing on me, but we only have 2 hours before the end of cycle and could we really get enough requests in before that for it to work? I'd be willing to try it if some other people will say they're on board. @Drake Marshall I was shocked at how easily I was able to turn the lynch at the last minute...I kinda feel like either yitzi is an elim and the others just jumped on board with my "let's save yitzi cuz he might be village" campaign or that we just got kinda lucky that so many people were online at the time as Rand said. There was like 10 people online at the end of that cycle!- 433 replies

Maybe the tin eyes could just decide to burn tin very other night to conserve their vials? That way if they did overlap it's just every other night and we won't waste as much tin? (Obviously you could use it if you thought you really needed PMs that cycle)- 1742 replies

Long Game 35: L35 Miserables

yes! As a lot of you know I've been helping my sister with her newborn recently, and have been rather sleep deprived. However, I just got like 7 hours of sleep and I actually feel like I can THINK now! So I'm finally awake and here to play lol. Let's see, I haven't made one of my "famous analysis posts"(as they've been called before) yet. @Haelbarde thanks for clarifying about PMs Does anyone else hate it terribly when most of your post gets deleted because you accidentally clicked on some notification at the top of your screen and then your page has to reload and you lost almost everything you typed and you want to just scream and throw your device out the window? That's an oddly specific description wouldn't you say? *goes to get tablet from where it landed outside (haha no, I didn't actually throw it, I just really hate losing my posts ) here we go again... Joe- asks the neutrals to help the village (not particularly alignment indicative considering that any alignment could've posted this for different reasons: 1. A villager posts it actually wanting their help. 2. An elim posts it, cuz it's the "villager" thing to do. 3. A neutral posts it to hide their identity, while possibly wanting to encourage the other neutrals to aid the village, or not lol.) Randuir- posts his usual prepared analysis tips for the various roles (not alignment indicative considering he seems to do this every game regardless of alignment since he probably writes them before the game even starts lol. Although I'm grateful that he does it cuz it lets me be slightly lazy. ) Later posts that we should be wary of the parole officer leading the lynch against his target. (Good thing to be aware of....but especially if you're the escaped convict. @randuir stolen any bread or candlesticks lately lol) Straw- says he'll post graphs (normal behavior...only saw him do this as a villager in one game so far) Says he's bad at analysis and doesn't approve of STINK's vote on him lol. Stink- doesn't want anyone to bother him (I've only played one game with him so far and he was evil lol. This seems to be the way he is though so not alignment indicative lol.) Votes for Straw to get him to share graphs lol. Jon- says he will hone is analysis skills and not repeat other players this far (no read) Stick- busy irl/ posts while I'm posting now to give a couple of read a on other players (reading slightly village for this because it's really helpful when players share their reads) Shqueeves- likes straw's graph and doesn't want to be killed while inactive lol (not alignment indicative but still feeling villagery for some reason lol) welcome to SE! Arraenae- posts to remind everyone about vote removing and when to do it or not to do it (never played with her before and the retracting votes in the wrong way is a normal thing for villagers and elims to hate lol) PK- likes our barricade and tries to flag down the flash (no read ,except I like it when people try to get the other players involved) Orlok- very lengthy post (can I really say anything lol). Says he thinks there's probably 4 or 5 elims. (I was thinking 5 might seem right, and I lean village for the peeps who bring up how many elims they think there are) Gives some thoughts on the players posts so far and tries to get more people involved. (Kinda leaning village for him...especially if he really is the pauper noble) Aman- busy irl (lets lynch him now hahahaha jk) Glad to have you back! @Amanuensis Elbereth- gives analysis and some helpful tips for the game (leaning slightly village) Ah, I think that about covers my reads on everyone...I will be back later with some other stuff like what I think the different roles should do etc. but for now I've got to eat my delicious chic fil a that's getting cold and then clean the house lol...see ya for now!- 1742 replies

@randuir also yitzi voted on arinian after I said I wanted to switch my vote, and I had said I would probably pick arinian or pk. So that may be why yitzi went ahead and voted arinian in his Ninja'd post before me. @TheMightyLopen I'm also kinda curious as to why you didn't switch your vote to try and save yitzi after you posted several times stating that you thought he was village? I kind of get the feeling that we were about to lynch one of two villagers last cycle and you didn't really care which one died, but you wanted to seem like you thought they were village in case either one was lynched. oops, I just posted a suspicion didn't I- 433 replies
