  1. I’m not sure if someone else has made a discussion about this, however, what would the planet be that has four elements. Have we been on it? As for four, would it be the four that we are used to seeing? (That is, earth, wind, fire and water) This seems really interesting to me, if anyone has any thoughts on the matter, please share!
  2. I do agree with this. In WoR and OB,
  3. This seems to be primarily a SA thread, but practically the whole chapter in Secret History with Hoid in it... It’s probably not my favourite but it is certainly a gem. Also the fact that he
  4. This contains vague spoilers for the Stormlight Archives, however I’m only really commenting on Navani’s personality. Am I the only one who thinks that Navani Kholin is a lot like Asami Sato from Nickelodeon’s Legend of Korra? They are both extremely smart women who are developing technology in a world full of magic. They are also both really determined in whatever they do. They both use technology to fight evil guys. Both are awesome (but that’s subjective). Does anyone else think this?
  5. Here’s a picture of Khriss. She definitely meets this description.
  6. This post is basically a really mild spoiler for oathbringer, (literally one sentence)
  7. @Jofwu, I had a brief attempt at translating Kaladin’s chapter header. I read it as O Ch I Ch O, but that assumes it is symmetrical and the I is highly distorted.
  8. Also, Azure is a colour name, and doesn’t fit with the typical Alethi name pattern (symmetrical, or symmetrical except for one letter, or ending with -in or -ar. ) That was my first clue, anyway.
  9. Thanks, @Vercent
  10. Is it going to be the party? As in again? This is going to get tiring reading the same events 7 more times. It would not likely be Dalinar (how do you hide spoilers?) as he would be like, Gav said to keep to the codes tonight, gunna drink anyway. Gavilar most likely, seeing as we now know (spoilers again but not really) what the anti glow stone was/is.
  11. Prudence Nazrilof, was it? Was there a WoB on this? Is it in a book? That just makes me really happy.
  12. In regards to age, Kaladin is 19 start of Wok, and 20 start of OB, in Roshar years, which are ~500 days long (and longer than Cosmere standard, according to Khriss in foreword to Edgedancer) Percy is 16 with the Mark of Achilles and 17 by the time he reaches the height of his power (by my judgement, which is House of Hades/Blood of Olympus) Have we taken into effect the Celestial Bronze? Is Kaladin part god/monster; ie can Riptide even touch him? Probably only when he is invested. He could just stand there uninvested. Either that or is the Nahel bond enough for it to count? And Stormlight boosts energy and heals while the Mark of Achilles drains energy. Kaladin could most likely wear Percy out and stab stab stab until he hits the small of his back. Water will heal Percy, but not forever, Stormlight however... anyway, I’m just rambling by now
  13. Wasn’t there a WoB about LGBTQI+ (sorry if I left out some letters) presence and he said something about Drehy and Ranette, And at a later date Shallan was Bi. (As in Jasnah was not one of the names mentioned) Also with what oathforger said (BS being Mormon and all), him writing about things he doesn’t necessarily agree with is something that he does all the time as well. All the characters in Mistborn are alcoholics and murderers. All the major characters is Stormlight are a little, y’know, crazy and murderers. Murder is a bad thing, by most religions. Also, back on topic, Jasnah always seems annoying to me, but I can’t actually find any faults in her. She (OB (+ WoR I suppose) spoiler) is a little rude and assumes to be in charge of Shallan...except she actually is in charge of her. And just at the end of WoK (that’s a spoiler warning) “I knew all along that parshmen were voidbringers” but she had no reason to actually trust Shallan previously. It could be that bit where she kills three men but Shallan did enough overanalysing of that; also pretty much everyone is a murderer in this series, like I said.
  14. 144 could be to do with Lord of the Rings. Frodo and Bilbo's ages combined at the start of the series added together were one gross. So was the number of guests invited. Anyway that's what comes to mind when 144 is mentioned.
