  1. Yes, but only the 10th Anniversary Editions
  2. So at the end of Elantris (10th anniversary ed), Hoid has a conversation with a Skaze. Here's the quote that caught my eye: "You have failed utterly, Hoed. You are not one of them; you haven’t the powers you promised us you’d gain. You’ve accomplished nothing. What beauty is there in this situation?” Two things stuck out to me; 1) Hoid made a promise to the Skaze that he'd become an Elantrian. This makes it seem like he needed their support in order to accomplish something (becoming an Elantrian might have been a side effect). Why did he need their support? 2) Yet another conversation with Hoid leads to beauty (he goes on to answer that the beauty is in the fact that there are "secrets that remain unknown"....sounds alot like Kelsier to me). Not reading too deep here, but it's definitely a theme for him.
  3. Except I'm pretty sure we have a WoB somewhere (can't find it) that Hemalurgy could work with other magics as well. Edit: Found it (#62) INTERVIEW: Sep, 2012 Cosmere Q&A - 17th Shard (Verbatim) ODIUM'S_SHARD Lastly, less pressingly, do Spirit Points (hemalurgic spots) apply to ever magic system, and through the Cosmere at large? Ie. could Hemalurgy be used to take any other magic systems aspects, and do other magic systems also have these 'Points', such as Body Focuses, that work in similar ways? BRANDON SANDERSON Hemalurgy crosses magic systems. You could steal things from people on other worlds, if you knew the right places for the spikes.
  4. In a bunch of Q&As, many people try to get Brandon to tell them who the third Bondsmith is. Why third? As far as we know, there is only one - Dalinar. What am I missing here?
  5. This was exactly what I was thinking of! Thanks!
  6. In Edgedancer (spoilers), didn't Wyndle mention he was supposed to be Bonded to a shoemaker? If so, how could he have made Ym a Truthwatcher, while making Lift a Edgedancer?
  7. I remember reading something he a said about how Kelsier and Zane were both unnaturally gifted with Steel
  8. Looking for a WoB that Kelsier is a Steel and/or Iron savant
  9. Is that canon? I thought the reason Surgebinders couldn't suck in Stormlight from Shardplate had to do with it being so heavily Invested... (We know the Shardplate itself isn't keyed to anyone b/c we see Kaladin use someone else's Shardplate helmet as a glove, and it conforms to his fist)
  10. Can you give some examples? (To be clear, I'm referring to a persons sDNA being keyed to something)
  11. This actually makes sense to me (except the last part - I believe once something is keyed, it's permanent)
  12. Consume....in the same way as Nightblood? Or do you mean in the same way as a KR?
  13. Do you have a source on them being Cognitive Shadows?
  14. hmmm I wonder why they're always inefficient...
  15. 1) How are you everywhere? Dude - you're awesome 2) You're right. It's late, and I got Spiritual and Cognitive mixed up. Makes way more sense now
  16. The problem is that Shardblades only cut on the Physical and Cognitive Realms - not the Spiritual (we know this because we have a WoB that says that, adding that Nightblood cuts on all 3). In order to affect someone's Spirit Web, you need to work on a spiritual level.
  17. Just read this WoB asking about the Tukkari. Where have we seen them before? What are they? (I already checked the Coppermind - nothing there)
  18. 1) Maybe, but they seem very keen on covering their tracks, and having public enemy number one mysteriously disappear from his cell doesn't really align with that. 2) Do you have a source for the Heralds being inefficient? I read a recent WoB that the Honorblades allowed the Heralds to draw their power directly from Him (thus making them akin to Vin during her Ascension - pretty efficient if you ask me).
  19. So I just finished BoM a second time, and a couple of things came up; 1) The messenger from the Set (interestingly described by Suit as "their own Faceless Immortals) told Suit that he will "serve them in another Realm" before promptly blowing them both up. Which begs the question - are the Set hiding out in the Cognitive Realm? Perhaps Suits' job will be to infiltrate the Silverlight elite... 2) Both Marasi and Wax note how quickly the Bands drain when used.... this strongly reminded me of Honorblades and how Szeth leaked Stormlight far faster than normal Knights (not sure, but I believe the Heralds leak even less than Knights). Could this point to the Bands being connected to one person in particular? (Yes, I know you'll say the whole "but it's made without Identity! That's the whole point!" True, but maybe Sovereign can use it more efficiently. similar to how an Honorblade can be used by anyone, but is more efficient/powerful when in the hands of its Herald)
  20. Especially when you take into consideration the WoB that Cultivation "has seen a Shard Splintered, and has learned from the experience" (not the actual Wob, but close). Basically, she saw Honor get Splintered, and can now can defend herself from Odium better than before
  21. Unless it converts it on a Spiritual level, in which case all Investiture is the same (all types come from Adonalsium)
  22. I got the idea from a question (pretty sure it was RAFOd) asking about the mechanics of how a Fullborn would change from one Investiture to another (eg. Compound Nicrosil, then convert it to A-Pewter). From the way it was worded, it seemed a given that was how it could be used. It may be it only works within Scadrian Investiture, but I believe it has more potential.
  23. This might have been asked before, but could a Fullborn Compound into a Nicrosilmind ( or do it while storing Identity, then give it to a Nalthian), then convert that Investiture to Breaths in order to attain the Tenth Heightening?
