  1. You know I really wanted to post this in part 5 reactions but that doesn't exist but is no one else excited about this. DUEL WIELDING SHARDBLADES i mean come on whats better then one blade while two of course. I know we already knew it was possible but come on seeing it in action is awesome.
  2. Yea I figured that out which was why i created this topic. But have you guys noticed how much info we are given in the Ars Arcanum I have done like three posts based off just the ten essence chart alone.
  3. Ok so end of OB we know that it requires the fourth ideal before a KR can get plate. Also we see two of our KR surrounded by spen Kal by wind and Dalinar by glory. This gives support to the plate is lesser spen theory. However I think there is something missing we know that spen can be cut by shardblades so armor made out of them would be useless. In less you change or add something to them. I believe based on the way plate behaves that it is made out of spen but then they are reinforced by stormlight condensing like water into the form of plate. This makes sense because since the blade is highly invested it would take something of equal power to block it. Also freebe plate color is determined by which gem the order a KR relates to. Like garnet for lightweavers which we see when Shallan creates Radiant during the battle of Thaylen City. "Radiant in glowing garnet Shardplate, tall, with braided hair."
  4. You know I doubt anyone has tried to block a shardblade with aluminium I mean if it can only be made by a soulcaster not many people could have it plus since aluminium is so soft no one would use it for decoration or armor and it they did it would probably be a thin layer so anyone tying to cut it would not notice a difference. Plus everybody knows that shardblades can cut through anything so why try to block it with a super soft metal?
  5. Ok well you guys took something totally unrelated to my post. If you go and read OB in the beginning of each chapter it has a couple lines of words. These come from the drawers full of gems that are found in the lower levels of Urithiru. I saw a pattern to each of the gems and realized each one named in the chapter preface's are gems on the ten essences chart in the ars arcanum this chart when set side by side with the ten surges gives us which gem belongs to each order. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HOID. I get where some confusion comes in as my quote talks about the perfect gems however my main point was that that quote was one of the few that told us which order was writing these things down.
  6. Guys I was just on Wikipedia looking up mantis shrimps look what I found, "the eyes of a mantis shrimp carry 16 types of color receptive cones." The significance of the number 16 proves it somewhere there are mantis shrimps in the Cosmere
  7. I think that the agurement over whether the KR should use their power's or not is what caused the recreance. I think they started fighting over what to do and those clashes started to destroy parts of the world leading them to realize that they need to stop. However I agree that there must have been something else because knights in the hundreds broke their oaths.
  8. Uh where you learn about Rock being part Singer?
  9. So way back when we first learned how Rock became a bridgeman we learned that his "Highprince" came to earn shards because of a old myth stating that whoever gains shards would be king. Now fast forward to OB Rock has killed Amaram and earned both plate and blade plus he is well on his way to become a full KR. This means that if he returns to the Peaks then he would be crowned king. This is important because one of the few ways to worldhop is in the peaks and I think that in order to defeat Odium or heroes will need to travel to his planet and fight him on his own turf. So I think that in a future book the KR will travel to the peaks to crown Rock and gain access to the perpendicularity. However Sanderson will probably through in some major conflict like a mudbeer drinking contest or something through the KR can cheat by using stormlight.
  10. So in oathbringer the stormfather speaks of his siblings who the other bondsmiths would have bonds to. I think that the other two godspen are linked to the diffrent elements of the world. Like the stromfather for air and possibly the Nightwatcher for earth this leaves one more for water. I picked these three elements because they are the ones that have the most impact on the people of Roshar. I know this might not make sense because we believe that the Stormfather and the Nightwatcher are pieces of Honor's and Cultivation's power but conversions that Dalinar had with the SF lead me to believe that the Stormfather was on the planet before Honor came to it. This could also hold true for the Nightwatcher. My evidence for the water godspren is that since spren are powers of nature given form It makes sense that the ocean would have a spren.
  11. Alright so I know they are kind of the bad guys but I feel almost bad for House Sadeas I mean first their highprince is murdured then after they get a new one they are ordered to go move rocks instead of fight. Finaly their minds are taken over by Odium with it all ending with another dead highprince. Personally I think they should just dissolve the house and create recreate it from scratch maybe then their bad luck will end.
  12. So as I was reading OB part 3 one of the chapter prefaces stood out to me at the beginning of chapter 83 it says "As the duly appointed keepers of the perfect gems, we of the Elsecallers..." -from drawer 20-10, zircon This is one of the few prefaces that tell us who is recording this information and when I referenced my ars arcanum I relised that each gem is associated with a herald who is also in turn associated with a order of KR. So if you line up the name of the heralds, the gems and the 10 surges you will find that zircon matches with the order of the elsecallers. So back to my original topic each different type of gem is the history of each of the orders of KR.
  13. I think you are right as her sword acts like one also in the coppermind wiki it describes Nightblood as a robot spen which is in line with what the honorspen experienced when she drew the blade. It is worth noting that Azure warned the honorspen not to draw the blade all the way which shows some similaritys to Nightblood.
  14. Ok so my faviort moment in this whole part is when Kaladin just ups and decks Roshone in the face. Then kal just goes and starts ordering everyone around. I know we should be unhappy that Kaladin is acting like a lighteyes but lets face it he is one.
  15. Ok so I was reading the WoK and came up with something its possible that others have noticed this but here goes. Throughout the book it seems that the smaller a gem is the less stormlight it can hold basic stuff right? However What happens if a fully infused gem is boken say in half. What happens to the stormlight? Since the two peices are smaller than the whole wouldn't they have less stormlight? My theory is that when gems are broken there is a dispersal of stormlight that gets rid of the stormlight the smaller gems cant hold. Another theory is that the level of light stays the same (which I think is unlikly but possible) so we now have two gems that have the same amount as one gem effectivly doubling the amount of light. If this is true then it would allow KR to carry more gems on their person but have more light than if they were carrying the same amount of larger gems.
  16. I already posted on this topic months ago so you can look me up for all the comments on my topic for more info
  17. I had a theroy much like this one but i belive insted of shardplate being actually stormlight i think that the plate is made out of crystalized stormlight. Sanderson likes to make his magic systems include some of the laws of physics so why wouldn't stormlight have three forms solid, liquid, and gas(most commen form). Also since the lightweavers can form illusions perhaps they may be able to create solid objects other than shardplate. This also rules out the shardplate comes from more oaths becasue lightweavers only have one.
  18. So has anyone thought about this. In the stormlight archive whenever gemstones are mentioned they are usually round. My question is does round gems hold more storm light than say a flat gem. Is stormlight attracted to its self or does it spread equally though its container. What happens if the gem breaks does the light leave the gem or does it redistribute itself. My theory is the former. Please tell me what you think.
  19. So i am new to this but did anyone catch in the very last page of chapter 80 in Words of Radiance that the king talks about shadows haunting him in the mirrors. this reminds me of when shallan was first coming into her ability's. Now it might be something else but I think that it bears watching out for.
