  1. Wow. I can't believe I completely forgot about turnover. Good game everyone.
  2. Well this is brilliant, because I have a lot of hats.
  3. I don't think this is fair. For some people, playing to compete is fun. That kind of atmosphere is enjoyable to them. Don't get me wrong, anyone who isn't having fun should speak up, and we should all try and do something about that. But you can't treat this as a black and white moral issue where a very competitive environment is wrong in and of itself. I hadn't considered this. It's a fair point, but at the same time... is this "prolonging misery"? Whether or not we killed Bugsy now or later, he still loses. The only difference is that in one case, everyone loses, and in the other case, a few others may get to win. In this type of scenario, we'd need to take into account the feelings of the specific eliminator. And since we're on the topic of fun and good sportsmanship, I'll mention that there is one thing about the game that has bothered me. It's the attitude "if I can't win, I'll stop others from winning." It hasn't been the attitude of all players (I don't even think it applies to most players) but it's there. Though it doesn't bother me enough to completely ruin the game for me. I was still having fun. For the record, I don't think Wilson is lying about being attacked. I know I haven't been around long, but she doesn't seem like the type of player who would favor complex deceit. Although I also wouldn't be surprised if those who attacked Wilson weren't Children.
  4. Voting on Sheep to bring it closer to a tie. Bugsy (4): Bugsy, Ecthelion, livinglegend, PK, Bridge Boy Alias Sheep (3): The Young Bard, Araris, Mint Amanuensis (1): Sart Dowanx (1): Darkness Ascendant Lopen (1): Aman Conq (1): Bugsy
  5. I'm not willing to risk ending the game. But I'd also rather not vote for Sheep. The only piece of evidence we have against him is that he asked Bugsy about the number of GoH members in thread, and his (alleged) reason seems fair enough for now. I understand the worries about Bugsy, but too many people, myself included, have goals left to complete. I propose that instead of killing him, we keep him alive but take away his ability to do much by throwing negate and manipulate actions at him during the night.
  6. Sorry Joe. If what you say is true, the best thing to do is to keep the GOH faction alive but weakened.
  7. @little wilson Bard and I are on Scadrial, so if you're interested in my Lifeless, worldhop over.
  8. Well seeing as that plan didn't work, I'll exchange the Lifeless for a scan on Bard.
  9. I've got a Lifeless that you can borrow (for a price ). Do you have any items with weak investiture?
  10. Well, I suppose even if Joe is using a cover story, it's a pretty convincing one. I'll take back my vote.
  11. Solid evidence is an unreasonable standard, but having specific reasons (which is not something we had on Magestar- only conjecture being thrown around) to lynch someone is not. I agree with Dalinar. Especially after PK just revealed the name of who attempted to kill him, I doubt GOH isn't going to be more cautious about who they're going to hit. It's possible that one of them has the ability to misinform those detecting a kill (i.e. someone else attempted to kill PK, but they're pinning it on Joe). But holding an ability like that has the potential to overpower a role, so I find it unlikely.
  12. Mage (6): Araris, Joe, Sheep, Stink, Straw, EcthEcth (5): Bard, Aman, Magestar, PK, DocStink (1): ElenionPK (1): RaeStraw (1): EcthJoe (1): SilverbladeAman (1): DarknessSilverblade (1): Wilson
  13. I feel like we're basically asking for vote manipulation by tying up the vote. But there's at least a chance that no one will die by doing so, so I'll join that plan. Because if someone does die, I'm fairly confident that it won't be an elim. I don't see any good reason to lynch someone on day 1. I'll be on again right before rollover starts.
  14. I've only played one game with Magestar before, and he's acting pretty normal.
  15. Riza sighed as she heard the voices in the Cognitive Realm bicker over who should die. Some of them seemed awfully eager to start killing. The squabbles seemed almost childish. Childish accusations backed by childish explanations. A small part of her questioned this notion, considering that perhaps all the other voices in her mind had just put her in a fowl mood. Peace and quiet was such a blessed thing. Such a shame that this gift was being tarnished. Just a little while longer. It will be night soon enough. Riza would endure the commotion. Once night came, she would get to work. Once night came, she would find him.
  16. Oh God. I was not supposed to be known as fez on this forum. @Elbereth Look what you've done.
  17. 1) I would say this is a reason not to publish it, and I'm fairly confident that it also applies to most other players: 2) I'd like to be completely transparent here. I am on the same world as Joe at the moment. However, even if the player list for every world is revealed, I would still be opposed to this (in fact, I'd be surprised if no one else followed Joe's lead in publicizing the lists, so I assume that will happen to some degree).
  18. It's not a theory, I'm genuinely confused and overwhelmed by what's going on. This isn't like other games where there's an eliminator side and a village side. In that scenario, the elims know everyone's roles, while the villagers start with nothing, so it's in the village's best interest for any information to be exposed. This game is different. First (and I'll admit this is unlikely, but possible nonetheless), a faction may not have a player on every world. Second, all evil roles may not be in a faction. And third, if there's someone who has a goal to kill me, I'd rather that they hold as little information as possible. I'm not accusing The Only Joe of being an elim, I just don't like his idea.
  19. So if we're calling out lurkers and people who haven't posted yet, I'd like to echo what Magestar said earlier about not having a clue on what's going on. I normally talk quite a bit online, but for someone reason I seem to be as quiet as I am IRL on SE. So I'll mostly be reading and thinking. And probably keeping this tab open sometimes when I'm doing something else, so being online won't always equate to being up to date on the thread. To be honest, I don't really like this idea. For one thing, what good would it do? If we're sharing information, there should be a clear incentive.
  20. I thought getting through the rules would be tough, but I actually found them very clear when I read through the OP. And I doubt that was easy to put together considering how big this game is, so kudos to you, Nyali.
