  1. Come on,you are nitpicking way too much. The tower has been invaded, your one hope,The Sibling,is been slowly corrupted and when that happens, almost all the efforts Team Radiant will mount becomes that much harder, and th enemy,a fellow scientist, seems interested but unaware of the full scpe of your efforts to restore your lifeline, you need her cooperation to continue these efforts, what will you do? Again, youre moving away from the question. He asked you, what you would do to save the Tower, been a Bondsmith wasnt the only thing that saved The Sibling,Navani did way more before simply been a Bondsmith,so his question was, what would you have done to save the tower, nothing more I mean, has a scientist, been able to repeat your success is key no? thats literally how a theory is formed,by repeating it over and over beyond a shadow of a doubt. And do gems break that easily?
  2. That wasnt the question though, the process to save the Tower began before she became a Bondsmith. Youre using those methods as a reason she couldnt become a Bondsmith AFTER she saved the Tower. The Anti-Voidlight sphere was completely destroyed in the initial explosion no? Isnt that what set her to thinking of anti Lights? She's smart but she literally only had a room in which to hide anything, much less trying to be secretive
  3. Hold up,hiow many places did she have to hide anything when she's literally a captive in a locked room and one of her captors is Raboniel? what sphere didnt she need?
  4. Didnt she try to hide it but was either forced to give it to Raboniel or Raboniel found it? So,correct me if im wrong cause it's been a while, but, wasnt anti-Light researched also continued because she knew Raboniel was trying to corrupt the Sibling and she needed a way to flush out the VoidLight? Apart from the explosion in her lab
  5. Then who would you give Bondsmith powers to? Because from what we know, this is a war with vast consequences, you make due with what you have and hopefully grow into the role,Dalinar has,why doesnt Navani get that chance, because I've yet to see one concrete evidence that she wouldnt be responsible enough to be a Bondsmith when she was basically Queen and has been close to leadership roles for agessss. This is something I didnt even think about. The unification of stuff previously thought of as impossible(Eshonai did it first but inworld,no one knows this) and then also been able to bring forth TowerLight to power the Sibling, she truly is,...the Voice of Lights. I love Raboniel btw, just throwing it out there
  6. Then Kaladin has to be help up to a high standard as well, especially since Syl is the Ancient Daughter and there is obviously something special about him. For Teft,i just meant firemoss when he was most likely first ideal(i think) Then Dalinar has to be declared unworthy then, forgetting about everything that happened AFTER he came back from his drunken days I think for most its the latter, because she made the mistake of revealing the anti-Light research. One mistake doesnt invalidate everything else, especially when the Sibling doesnt bring that up as a reason for not been worthy(tbf,i dont quite remember if the Sibling was aware of the anti-Light research).
  7. And we've come really close to that case at least once, but it shows it can happen But you arent, and this is the SF that is beginning to understand humans more too. We make mistakes,it happens. Hell,Kaladin is def not worthy then cause he almost killed Syl in..WOR i think when he almost breaks his oaths. Teft too, before his Ideal that saves people in Oathbringer. Why arent we judging these people who made mistakes AFTER their bonds? hahaha, like what you did there. But I dont think he failed to deliver,in the end, this is his vision
  8. I get the Honor dead thing, but Dalinar has def not shown flying colors at every point. Did anyone complain when he drowned himself in alcohol in Oathbringer? He redeemed himself and came right back. And this is after he's bonded the SF,so does that mean he should be rejected? Navani hasnt even been given the chance to fail, again, the only reason the Sibling gave for Navani's unworthiness was her capturing spren, nothing about mistakes or what not,in the end,she was chosen. The book ended before we were given a chance to explore more so I say we wait a few years and see what Brandon delivers. Also,we have established she is a scholar right? YESSSSSSSSSS!
  9. Honestly, people are explaining my thoughts way more than I can possibly do hahah
  10. And thats not something you can learn from? Why shouldnt she be given a chance? She's been in power before, same as Dalinar, only thing is that Dalinar started following the teachings(forget the name,The way of kings right?) and so began on that path, but Navani has always been in leadership. Dalinar was a tyrant before killing Evi,having a mind wipe, going through an alcohol stage UNTIL Gavilar's death and Dalinar starting to to follow TWOK. Was Dalinar worthy then? He accepted his role, became a better person etc etc. Why does Dalinar get to be said to be responsible? Oh come on,blaming Navani for this too?
  11. Thats what i mean though,Navani hasnt shown that she wont be responsible with the powers at all, she's learnt from dealing with Raboniel so why? Adolin literally saw Elhokar's dead body then said he cant mourn now,he had other pressing stuff to do,that is what Navani did. As what @Aspiring Writer said ,they are Alethi,Jasnah was one of the world's famous heretic, denoucing the Vorin teachings and what not,Jasnah kept assasins in employ because of the possibility that they would be used against her family,of course they are aware they have targets on their back
  12. I wasnt saying this is why she's worthy,I was just saying that saying that @Bejardin1250 said Dalinar moved on proves his worthiness,so therfore Navani moving on from all that should prove her worthiness too and then I said he cant use that as a basis for worthiness
  13. How am i double posting? I dont get it And yea i know Gavilar didnt make it public and Navani did,i never said anything about that no,i didnt say anything about anyone getitng their feelings hurt, She is not a semi scientist, she is one. Even the wiki(i acknowledge that it is edited by someone) calls her a scholar. Ok,it proves Dalinar can move on,so why not give Navani that chance. She moved on from her husband dying, thinking her only daughter was dead, her son dying, losing her kingdom and thinking she lost her grandson too,Navani has proven she can move on so you cant really use that point?
  14. I mean, there is some room for error hahaha But still,Dalinar, even past the first oath, faltered in Oathbringer didnt he? Forcing SF into a sword for the Oathgate, going back to alcohol also. And this is after he bonded the SF,we can def give Navani some wiggle room then.
  15. Ok,she knew what it looked like takes away that she re discovered it? thats like taking away the discovery of fire because they saw it before so knew what to look for. Or other discoveries because they saw something happen and decided to recreate it. Come on now. Yes,it was dangerous,of course it was,no one is denying it,but is this point supposed to be against her been a scholar or been worthy? What truth will Navani be hurt over?
  16. really? memory fails again And yea i do,and so why does that preclude her from been able to responsibly harness such powers or realize the scope and act accordingly?
  17. wasnt she conflicted on if she should continue the anti-light research knowing how dangerous it was? i seem to remember that. Either way,why does it matter?
  18. Wasnt it Gavilar's sphere that exploded? she didnt know what it was,she knew what happened, worked backwards to find out why it happened, and then recreated it. That wasnt a blueprint for anything. Honestly, just imagine in world where you and a thousand year old scientist create something and then that scientist says you are an amazing scientist and then some people are like,no you arent. Even though you had the acumen for it as well
  19. I think it's both no?
  20. And Navani wont be held up to a high degree of responsibility? The only evidence i can think of that she wouldnt be responsible was how she was kinda careless with the whole anti-light and playing Raboniel thing. But do i think she can rise and be more responsible? Absolutely, she had 2 kings for husbands, her son was a king, her daughter is now Queen, plus she has a Bondsmith spren that will basically force her to somehow find a way to stop tinkering with fabrials, absolutely can she be responsible
  21. Where did she see the blueprint for Anti-light? Why should she have changed in the last 3 years? Why does it matter? She wasnt a major character no? And they were both desperate. To people saying Navani wasnt worthy,do you remember why the Sibling said she wasnt? only because Navani captures spren. That is literally the only reason. But does that mean all the Bondsmith spren are all the same? "Bondsmith oaths are focused on unity, unification, and bringing others together. However, this is a loose theme, as there are so few Bondsmiths - and the three sources of their powers are so different in personality - that the oaths can end up taking a variety of different shapes, depending on the situation. Anyone can become a Bondsmith, subject to persuading one of the three spren who grant Bondsmith powers. Those powers tend to work differently for one Bondsmith than another, and even those Surges they share with other orders tend to work differently for Bondsmiths." She bonded a Bondsmith spren whose only reason for her not been worthy was because Navani captures spren. Begrudging is a synonym for been hesitant
  22. Ok,so that means this was a new thing for Dalinar. But what about Navani? She was always a scholar, one of the few people who appeased guests anytime Gavilar was galavanting somewhere, didnt start off as a tyrant. Cause it seems like she has a better starting baseline than Dalinar So was the Stormfather no? Even though,as you guys said,He was told to find a Bondsmith,he was still hesitant to bond Dalinar. This is exactly what i meant, better stated tbh. She noticed a phenomena that wasnt observed before and correctly came up with an explanation for it,repeated the event and brought forth anti light,a feat another scholar, who has lived for thousands of years said she has never seen and then said Navani was a scholar. It doesnt matter that anti light was known to a select few,she was able to make it from scratch with no released knowledge of it Exactly! Teft and Elhokar(RIP),Venli,Dalinar. Honestly,so far the people who we have read it who seemed to deserve bonds from the beginning(IMO) are Kaladin and Tien. Maybe Shallan
  23. Really? Damn, for some reason I was very sure SF was just told to show visions to people who could benefit from them
  24. Thats where im remembering things different. He wasnt told to choose a Bondsmith,he was told to show visions to a potential Bondsmith,or to a person who would benefit from them(according to the wiki).
  25. i thought the Stormfather was hesitant to bond Dalinar. Wasnt his goal to just show visions to a potential Bondsmith(or something like that)? To the fact that he would have rather wiped out the people on the Shattered Plains instead of trying to help. Did the Stormfather also begrudgingly accept the oath too at the end of WOR? I cant remember exactly. My point is I dont think he HAD to choose a bondsmith, just show a potential Bondsmith Honor's visions and all
