  1. Briar stares for a moment, baffled by the talking fox. As she can hardly leave the castle without getting caught, Briar has never left her kingdom where speaking animals are rare. She blushes slightly, embarrassed for staring, and says, "Oh, um, I'm sorry. I'll not bother you again. I guess I'll just grab my stuff and go then." Briar waves at Yls, collects her stuff, and starts to leave. I guess I'll have to get a new hideout then, she thinks to herself. Too bad, this place was beautiful.
  2. My personal theory is that Doomslug is a type of animal from Words of Radiance (where most of the animals are crustacean-like) without a shell. The eating question is important because Doomslug likes to eat krem.
  3. My talent would be never having what I thought I had in my pocket. Smedry application: I pull out whatever I need, not what I want. (Ex: wanting to get something from a vending machine in the middle of battle, reaching for the dollar I had in my pocket, and bringing out a crystin sword or something).
  4. For the last fourteen and 3/4 years, Briar had been stuck in the castle, never allowed to go outside by her parents, the Queen and King of Toccelle. They posted guards around her chambers to protect her from any other malicious fairies that wanted to randomly decided to curse their child (as if that would happen again). However, all they succeeded in doing was keep their daughter from living. Briar had never even left the palace. At least, that's what they thought. For years, ever since she was twelve, Briar had been sneaking out of the palace consistently. However, the places she would go would vary. Some days, she would escape to the marketplace where exotic traders would set up shop and display things from fried tube cakes (*think funnel cakes mixed with stuffed churros*) to caged dwarf phoenixes. Others, she would go to jousting tournaments and compete. It was perfectly safe. Due to the curse, Briar was unable to die until her sixteenth birthday. The fairy had promised her fifteen years of life, and Briar intended to live them to the fullest before she slept forever. Sure, she could get hurt. In fact, she had gotten several broken ribs from the jousting tournaments, but nothing that wouldn't heal given time. Today, Briar was sneaking off to her favorite place: a little lake in the middle of the forest. It was where she stashed all the things she got from her exploits, and has to go there whenever she needed money to spend. However, today she was just going there to relax. So she climbed out the window and into the night.
  5. OK, that works. I like it.
  6. @Sorana, since I don't really know that book, I'm going to say sure.
  7. @Sorana, if you can give me a specific book, that would be nice. @Kelsier'sGodComplex yeah, that's good. @Dr. Dapper, I'll accept legends as fairy tales. Sorry for not replying quickly, I was busy.
  8. OK. That sounds good. I'm so embarrassed that I posted this FOUR TIMES.
  9. By the way, I'm so sorry, but I somehow managed to post this topic twice, so if you want to join, reply to this one.
  10. OK, so basically, this is an RPG forum where you are a character from a fairy tale. You can be anyone from any tale you want with any of your own interpretations of their character. There are a couple of rules though: 1. They HAVE to be from (or connected to) some kind of fairy tale, if you have questions for if some random person from a folk tale counts, ask me. 2. No repeats of the same person. I don't want a million Sleeping Beauties running around 3. I don't know if any of the other RPGs do this, but I will suggest you change your character if they do not fit into the storyline that has already been established. If someone says that their character killed Sleeping Beauty before you came along with your awesome new interpretation of her, you've better have an explanation. To join: put your character name up top and their bio (including what fairy tale they're from) in a spoiler box and tag me, then out of the spoiler box put in the intro to your character. Please put real life conversion in quote boxes from now on to relieve confusion. Warning: I don't really do RPGs often, so I'm not entirely sure how they work. I guess I'm the DM, but I won't do much. It's not so much as dungeons and dragons as if we're writing a collective story. OK have fun, sorry if this was too long. Ohhh, and my character: Rosaline "Briar" Reyn Sorry if it was too long...
  11. OK, so I may not be the most observant person, but I just can't see the difference between the Cosmere and worlds like the one in the Reckoners or Alcatraz. Is it just that those two are alternate versions of Earth, or is it something deeper? Please reply with minimal spoilers. I know they're allowed, but I haven't gotten around to reading ALL of Brandon's books, okay. Sue me, but I read other things.
  12. I know this was three whole years ago, but I really wanted to comment. I know someone who has actually found hoid in the Reckoners. I also know a blonde, awesome girl named Meghan, though they don't have the same last name.
  13. Name: Espionage Powers: Enhanced Agility (plus enough strength to pull off all of those gymnastic maneuvers) The Ability to read the thoughts of anyone within a 1-mile radius Empathy (she can feel the feelings of others) Personality: Naturally agitated and proud Rule-follower Bossy She surrounds herself with happy people because being around others makes her feel what they do, and really, who wants to feel depressed all the time. Weakness: Her weakness is thunder. A disadvantage of her powers (kinda) is that she dislikes hurting anyone because it can make her hurt too. Good or Evil?: Evil, though she won't hurt anyone. She is abrasive and arrogant like any other epic. She would wear her hair plaited with feathers, ribbons, really anything... A normal outfit for her is a red t-shirt, jeans, sneakers, and her ever-present leather jacket...
  14. Frost has no idea what the second paragraph that Nashan wrote means, so she is not killed. In her defense, she is only 12. By the way, it wasn't really a dalek. It was my friend, Jenny, in dalek armor, @Themasterhunter.
  15. Amazingly, Frost was not hit by any shards. Frost was so completely confused by their game, that all the shards turned into a deck of cards and she and Jenny started playing war. Then her deck of cards turned wonderland-style and started to battle against each other, and Nashan was speared by a spear that went off course.
  16. As Frost was too lazy to read the new posts, she and her friends were unaffected by them. Frost then continues to rip a hole in space and time with her amazing laptop and lets in her pet dalek so it can exterminate @kenod. She then steals the Doctor's sonic screwdriver and collects parts from around the room to create a cyberman/weepingangel/human/spiritweb/other thing and sic it on all the others.
  17. Julia, a brown haired, green eyed, seventeen year-old daughter of Demeter, looked up from her book, mildly interested by the guy who just flew down to the park as an eagle and turned into a normal teenager. Julia put her book into her never-ending backpack (like Leo's tool belt) and went to go confront the shape-shifter. (The intro to my character)
  18. Frost evolves into a vaporeon/kitsune thing and puts out the remaining fire, then devolved back into a eevee/kitsune thing. Luckily, the Doctor was wearing fire proof ________ (I didn't know what to put) and had survived the blazing inferno of the flareon/kitsune thing. He asked, "How are you all here????!!!!! Who are you????!!!!!! I thought Jenny was dead!!!!!!!!!! I want a cookie!!!!!!!!!!!!" Annoyed, Frost turned evolved a slyveon/kitsune thing and used the weird ribbon things attached to her to lift and gag the Doctor and put him in a safe corner away from danger. Frost then puts on a pair of windstormers lenses and removes the air from Nashan's lungs. She then uses a pair of diserners lenses to figure out how old the Doctor really is. Frost whispers the Doctor's age into Jenny's ear and they giggle at how ancient he is.
  19. This is for my brother: Name: Corrocotus Powers: Can turn into animals Can speak to animals Weakness: Meat Appearance: 11 years old Red hair Grey eyes Pale skin Wears a black cloak over everyday clothes Epic Evil: rampages cities with armies of animals, you know the norm
  20. "How does this answer my questions?" Frost asked.
  21. Frost looked up from her laptop and said, "Who just called me a rabbit/kitsune thing? I'm obviously a eevee/kitsune thing." Then evolved into a flareon/kitsune thing and fried the TARDIS and everything in it except for herself, her friend, Jenny (does anyone get the reference), and her other friend, a mew/kitsune thing named Eve. With the help of Eve she devolved back into eevee/kitsune thing while Jenny scolded, "You just fried my dad, and you necroposted!!!! I don't know which is worse!!!" "Sorry," Frost said, "Darkness, you can fix this, right? Oh, and you have a pet giratina, how did you not know I was a eevee/kitsune thing?" Frost asked Darkness as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
  22. I had to necropost this, it was just too good If one of my family members became an epic I'd be off pretty good if it were one of my siblings, especially Reed as he has no sense whatsoever. I'd probably chop off my hair, dye it, buy colored eye lenses, get all the essentials (food, water, books, notebooks, pencils, and like $60), get as far away as possible (probably somewhere cold because my family knows I can't stand the cold for too long), find an orphanage (I'm twelve) and hide there and hope they don't find me until I am an adult.
  23. Her corruption manifests in killing normal people, and in stealing from unimportant epics, and sometimes putting them in embarrassing situations/poses and then watching what happens. She has no other powers. (unless you have any suggestions, because all the ones I'm thinking of are too OP or over done)
