  1. So, what happened in the previous cycle? After a bunch of votes being thrown on everybody, the bandwagons start forming. The two main bandwagons were on Ecth and Arinian, so I'll try to focus on them. The first to vote on Arinian was Sart, and it seemed like a poke vote. After that, Len voted on Ecth, also seemingly a poke vote. Stick was the second to throw a poke vote at Arinian. Cloud comes online and votes on Arinian. Cloud claims that they did it to break the tie, and I can confirm that there was a tie at that point. Then Kas decides to go after Ecth for the Five Tenet mention. This was what began ringing alarm bells for me, I guess. After this, Kynedath votes on Ecth for the same reason. Ecth: Elenion, Kasimir, Kynedath Arinian: Sart, Stick, Cloudjumper At this point Ecth and Arinian are tied. Then JUQ puts Arinian in the lead with his vote. After this, Stick and Sart both withdraw their votes. Alvron enters and throws a vote on Ecth. Nyali votes on Ecth, then withdraws the vote when she realized how illogical the vote was. Ecth votes on Arinian. Ecth: Elenion, Kasimir, Kynedath, Alvron Arinian: Cloudjumper, JUQ, Ecth. I am not sure what to make of this. The first person to reach three votes was actually Arinian, until Kynedath joined in the vote. After that Arinian was in the lead until Sart and Stick withdrew their votes. I feel that this is strange and warrants watching. Arinian is suspicious. However, I have another suspect currently whom I feel is more suspicious, and will explain below. Stick - I'm inclined to believe you for now, as I have seen your behaviour in MR18. Know that that's not necessarily a valid excuse though, as you might have learned from that experience. For now, I am inclined to believe you. Still, if you start posting less, I'll zero in on you. Kynedath - Voted on Lopen. Accused him of trying to shift suspicion. As others have pointed out, this accusation felt kind of forced. I'm inclined to suspect you a little. Later voted on Ecthelion based on the items he had. Wondered why someone would try to save Ecth. Said he changed his vote to Ecth because the vote was more fact-based? Kynedath, the whole thing with the items, which you basically said was your only reason for voting Ecth, is not fact-based. I'd argue your suspicion of Lopen made more sense than your vote on Ecth. Kasimir - Seems to be generally helpful. Still, you were the one who started the vote on Ecth due to the items he held. Which was illogical of you. Sure, Elenion was the first one to vote for Ecth, but that was a poke vote. Was your vote a gag vote gone wrong? Why, as others have pointed out, did you seem so eager to lynch Ecth? Arinian - Voted Stick the first day, because why not? And his vote doesn't matter. Has not said much. Was in the lead for the lynch until lots of vote changing happened. Burnt - Has not said anything other than RP JUQ - Was in favor of waiting until someone acted suspicious before lynching. A passive position to take. Voted on Arinian. Alvron - What exactly are you committing? Hopped on the Ecth bandwagon for no explained reason. Voted on STINK as he believes that the circumstances of Lopen and Ecth's death is similar to MR18. Not the strongest of reasons, I have to say. Stink - Has not said anything other than RP Orlok - Dropped a vote on Alvron without reasoning. Sart - Poke voted Arinian. Poke voted Alvron. Rae - Voted on Kynedath for his forced-sounding suspicion on Lopen. A suspicion I'm currently inclined to agree with. Assassin - Has not posted anything other than RP Magestar - has not posted last cycle. @Magestar Elodin - Did not post last cycle. Came in late. Suspects Kas, but does not want anyone to vote based on that as his logic might be faulty. Is just asking JUQ for his thoughts. I feel that this is slightly suspicious, the classic elim tactic of subtly nudging us to feel that someone is suspicious but giving themselves an out just in case. I myself tried that when I was an Eliminator, Wonko did it in MR18... Yeah. I would recommend you take a stance, Elodin, and stick to it. Nyali - Poke voted Assassin, dropped vote in favor of Ecth, but then dropped the vote when she realized how illogical it was. Currently is voting for Arinian due to the fact that he had the second most votes. Something I'm inclined to agree with. Cloudjumper - Was not in favor of a day one lynch, seems to want only to survive. Popped up to throw a vote on Arinian. Claimed it was to break a tie later. Was confirmed to be a tie at that point of time. Joe - Showed up in response to Ecth's poke vote to say that Stick hasn't posted yet. Has not said anything else. Elenion - Was the first to throw a vote on Ecth. Later maintained his vote due to the item that Ecth had. Illogical. Darkness -...I don't have anything to say. And so, based on this, I am going to vote Kynedath. Of all the posts that were made last cycle, yours felt the weakest and most forced. Your vote on Lopen was pointed out by Rae and Lopen as being forced, and your vote switch to Ecth on the basis of the Five Tenets felt even more forced, especially as you defended that switch to Rae as something with real and possible evidence, somethign with facts and analysis. There is also the fact that this is a lynch for information. Think about it. If Kynedath turns out to be an Assassin, it is almost certain that Arinian is too, and all those who voted on Ecthelion based on the 'Five Tenet' reason suddenly become all the more suspect, namely Kasimir. It might also throw light on those who shifted the vote to Ecth, such as Sart, Stick and Alvron. I'll be out all afternoon tomorrow. I might be able to check in on my phone to change my vote if necessary, but it's not a promise. Good night, all.
  2. I'm sorry. I can't do analysis posts in a moving car. >> I'm tempted to switch my vote to Arinian so we could have a tie and see what happens, but it probably isn't a good idea, heh. I'll just say I think Ecth is being lynched for a bit of a silly reason. Items don't incriminate people . stick, Arinian, cloudjumper, Burnt and alvron are not committing anything. Lopen is being very active. That's all I got. See you guys after rollover. I'll be settled then and have a computer hopefully.
  3. Didn't I say I was going to be much less active for the next few days? Also, for the last eight or so hours, I was asleep. Show some consideration for those in other time zones We're about to leave on our family trip, so this is me in the car right now as we're driving. This is probably going to be my last post before rollover, and I confess I haven't been able to read much.. I'll try to read up right now and get my thoughts before rollover.
  4. Helchon sucked in a breath and smiled at Sartinia. Somehow that elf had the ability to get under his skin more than any other person here. Perhaps it was because she was actually on a status recognizable by him. He could afford to look down on all others except her. Which made her mistakes so much more...noticeable. "Sartinia. I did not ask whether there should be a lynch. I asked what Tu thought of a lynch. Would she enthusiastically choose a person to die? Or would she hedge her bets and watch and wait? This information is valuable, and I expected you to know that. For example", he gestured vaguely to...someone who was skulking (Echtelion) That commoner has made his stance clear, he does not like the lynch. That is good to know. We shall watch, and we shall gather information." He sighed. "And just what do you think you would gain by asking for alibis?" And casually, he turned to...the person who had just spoken (JUQ). "And would you expect the guilty to just step forward and talk? Do think a bit. The only way to stir the guilty is to force them out by making them pick a stance. Leave them alone and they'll happily skulk in the shadows watching us bicker. No. Today, we shall point fingers. we shall call out names and we shall ask them questions. Do try harder."
  5. Helchon put a hand to his head and sighed. Humans. Tsk. What was it with them? They never really seem to take the time to think, do they? Well. He supposed he couldn't blame them. Their lifespans were notoriously short, after all. He sighed. "If you must sully my name with your lips, human, at least make your question worth my time." He turned and mounted the stairs, gazing down imperiously at the gathered crowd. "My...friends. Associates. It is clear that there are murderers among us, those here with less than noble intentions. I have this to say, that they will have a very easy job of this. It does not look like they will have too hard a time carving a path through you lot. Fortunately for you, I am here, and I shall have to be the one to save your miserable lives. These depraveds will rue the day they accepted the invitation to kill one of the Altmeri!" He leveled each of them a glare, watching with satisfaction as they turned away, unable to meet his gaze. "This...human's vote is sheer idiocy. She does not ask a question, she has no point to make, she merely screams my name without justification. Perhaps to see if I am aware, girl? Your shouting serves. no. purpose. If you have nothing to say, do not say it." He turned and gazed at his fellow elf with barely veiled disgust. Sartinia may have been Altmeri, but his appearanced shamed his heritage. "Sartinia, at least, has a question to ask, if a question that has utterly no bearing on what we do today. Try to think better, brother Elf. You do not have the excuse of slow wit that the other races have." He finally turned, his piercing eyes searching out a character huddled by the sides. "Tu/Cloudjumper! Tell me. What do you think of an execution today?" Yes, I am also trying to play in full RP. Word of warning, I will be significantly less active for the next four days, so please be patient if I cannot immediately respond to your votes. I will be on a family retreat. So what I meant by the RP was this. Don't poke vote just for the sake of it. Ask a question. Force a player to take a stance on something. This was something I learned last game. Also, forgive the insults It's all character only stuff, but if it offends you, I'll turn it down.
  6. Wind whispered over the dunes of Lossand. Sitting on a high rock amidst the desert, Silence contemplated the change in the air. The Healer had not lied. There was a great disturbance amongst the Shards. Bavadin no longer ruled Taldain, and the Shard Autonomy no longer protected it. He had stayed far too long on this planet since the Healer accidentally left him behind on this planet, but now it was time to take his part in the great changes that were going to happen. To...carve out a name for himself. It was time. He looked to the skies, where Autonomy burned, where many worlds away the Shards were found and claimed. And he smiled, for he knew they would never hear him. On Threnody, he had gained the name Silence, a child that had not cried when his mother delivered him. A child that smiled but never spoke. He stood, Like a shadow, he vanished from sight. As the cosmere raged and fought and Shards were claimed and lost, amongst the tumult and the war... No one would hear him coming until it was too late. No one. I'll join as Silence. I'd like to start on Taldain, please
  7. Frost raised an eyebrow at Billy's outburst. Looking around, and seeing no one beginning to respond, he sighed and cleared his throat again."Firstly, there is a reason why veterans seem to have so much power. Look at Khaos' accusations, and your own accusations of Nathan a day ago. Khaos explained in great detail what she did to find the professor suspicious, and why she is accusing him. When the professor responded, she was able to counter-argue and successfully convince me to trust her points for now. You, on the other hand, called out Nathan with little to no reasoning, and backed down fairly quickly at the first sign of an argument. Do you see why she is more trusted?" He paused to give Billy an icy glare. "Secondly, you say you want to wait until tomorrow. What would you suggest then, friend? Refuse to lynch anyone today? Would you be able to provide a person who is more suspicious, with grounded reasons that you can argue for? If not, we would have simply wasted today. Your suggestions seems to be 'wait one night to see if Khaos is killed by the eliminators to know if the Professor is evil'. I don't see that as a good suggestion. Not only do we lose a day where we could have lynched a traitor, we would lose a powerful village role." His explanation done, he gave the boy a curious glance. "Lastly, I'm surprised that you're still taking an interest in the affairs of this house, given that you said that you had no idea what was going on barely a few days ago. I assume that you have caught up with what's happening now, in which case could I trouble you to explain what you've learnt?" @Mesa the Ookla
  8. Frost finally cleared his throat, after that long silence. "Hello." He said, tentatively. "Yes, I'm speaking again." He looked around the room. "I don't know what to think of Khaos. I want to believe that she is innocent, and that she is helping us. The deaths of Yiferien and Isaac she partly takes the blame for, I admit. And so I will trust her this time and vote for Haelbarde. As she has said, if she is wrong about him this time, she will be fully confirmed as a traitor to our group, and she will be dead tomorrow." He looked slowly at each person. "However, if the Professor does turn out to be a traitor, I hope that Khaos is protected tonight again. The professor claims to have been the one protecting Khaos the night before. I would like to know if there are any who would like to contest this claim." He turned back to the professor, "I acknowledge the validity of your suspicions, your projections of how we may mislynch, and how Khaos might have been fooling us. I have to say, I was pretty skeptical myself that Khaos just happened to scan the right person making the kill. It seems a great chance. However, after listening to both of your arguments, the only counter-argument that holds water is that Khaos is deliberately trying to frame the professor. I'm not a fan of the two of you speaking of your characters outside this house, as I feel that they have no bearing on our current situation." "So yes, right now there are three possibilities. Khaos is evil and the Professor is innocent, in which case they will both be dead by the next day, since she has revealed her true colors, and the Professor will be avenged. Secondly, that Khaos is innocent and the professor is evil, in which case she will be fully vindicated, that is, until an Omen is found again. Lastly is the fact that they might both be villagers, and that Khaos was fooled, but as she has already pointed out, that possibility is not very likely unless this deceptor was not part of her trust group and just happened to guess she would be using Tin tonight. Either way, an eliminator will die through the results of this lynch, and that is why I voted for the Professor." He gave a sheepish smile. "I am sorry for voting so late. I confess i had been waiting to see if any lines would form, if there were any who would defend the professor, and who would be the ones to support Khaos. I have been disappointed by this. I then realized I myself was contributing to the silence, and thus I am speaking now to stir discussion. It would have been safer for me not to speak, perhaps, but speaking in a meta way, that hasn't been fun for the last few cycles, as it has been too quiet, and I would like us all to speak and have fun this game." He frowned. "What else did I have to say? Ah yes. I notice that no Omens had been found the previous two nights, and I'm glad for it. Provided the Professor is a traitor, we are still in a very good position to destroy the House. As long as the each of us remain active, we have a chance. Thus I am going to try to wake some of our sleeping friends. @Wonko the Sane, @Bugsy6912, @Paranoid King, @Clanky, @Unodus, @Nyali, @OrlokTsubodai, How are you doing? Friend Locke, have you caught up with the days?" He turned to the person next to him, Khaos' little shadow. "Kresla? Do you have anything to say?" @Elbereth
  9. Helchon was not amused. There he had stood, the picture of austere separation, waitng patiently for the event to start, when someone had the audacity to drop something on his head! Of course, the object had not hit him, he would have to be a human to be so clumsy, but the very idea! Oh how he would have liked to crush the offending object in his hands, and to crush the offender with a well-placed destruction spell, but no. He slowly turned his head up to see the frightened orbs of a young human girl staring at him from the roof. He glanced back down at the object he held in his hands. Some kind of...device utilizing lenses. Bringing them to his eyes, he recoiled at how blurry they made the world. But now he understood. Those poor races. Without the aid of mer eyes, they have been forced to compensate with these. The girl was still staring at him. Sighing, Helchon extended his hand in a telekinesis spell, grabbing the girl in his mental grip and bringing her down to the ground. Releasing her, he ignored her grunt as she hit the floor. He knelt down to her level, and smiling coldly, handed her the device. "Take care not to lose this again, girl." He restrained a smirk at her reaction. Oh, he could be angry. It was well within his rights. But never let it be said the Altmer were cruel without reason! Besides, this youngling was not worth the magicka it would take to wipe her off Nirn. Furthermore, that display of her incompetence had amused him. He could afford to be compassionate. Without waiting for her response, he turned on his heel and stalked away to another spot. By the Aedra...he should not have arrived so early...He sat himself down by a boulder and brought out a tome, deciding to at lest make some use of his time. Dear Aedra, let no one else approach me... Isn't he sweet? Please approach me
  10. Woo, let's get this pre-game RP going! Hael, I've decided to change my character into an Altmer, that okay with you? For everyone else who doesn't know about the elder scrolls, Altmer are basically High Elves, the prettiest type of Elf and the strongest in magic. They also have a massive superiority complex and can usually deliver some sick burns with sarcasm and snark, heh. Besides their prowess with magic, they have this unique ability to piss off every single person they meet who is not Altmer :P. =o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o Helchon did not deign to look at the company around him. To tell the truth, he did not know why he had even come. This...invitation had no signature. Who was this person, to even presume to extend an invitation to an Altmeri? He would have laughed, incinerated the invitation, and sent some men to track down the sender and murder him in his sleep as a message. Routine for those who overestimated themselves. And yet. His curiousity had overpowered him, and now he found himself in the company of…undesirables. There were two other Altmeri. Galerion, who had wisely reserved himself from the rabble around him, watching. He, perhaps, was the only being here Helchon approved of. The other Altmer...he would have spat at him if the action wasn’t so undignified. Sartinia. Wretch. There he sat on the ground, unkempt, an insult to his Altmeri heritage. And what of the others? A Bosmer, cowering in the shadows. A pitiable representative of a race he usually tolerated. Two Dunmer. A laughable, short wizened one and another one with multicolored eyes standing awkwardly by himself. He could not find it in himself to hate these Dunmer. They were representative of their race, yes, but there was kindness in his heart. An Argonian watching from the shadows. Dismissed immediately. Two khajiit. One sleeping, the other one grinning at him. It was a sad, sad collection of individuals here today. His eyes glazed over the others. They were not mer. They were not beast. They were... utterly beneath him. He did not care whether they were Redguard, Breton or Nord. They were simply beneath his notice. There were a lot of them, walking around, piping questions. Helchon utterly dismissed them. As far as he was concerned, he had no competition at all for this mysterious promise that lay in the manor. He was altmer. The only Altmer of any capability. Yes. Helchon allowed himself a small smile. He could find in himself some emotion for those around him besides laughter. He could find it in himself to pity them for having to go against him. =o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o= What a nice guy, eh? I'd love to RP with any of you, so approach me! My character's not going to lower himself to approach any of you, so approach me if you wanna chat!
  11. Well, first off, I want to say that this was a pretty fun game. I didn't necessarily enjoy it all that much, but it was a well played game, I think. Boy did I play horribly :P. I was involved in every single mislynch, and the one eliminator lynch we actually had, I wasn't on it. Heh. Around the later cycles, maybe you guys could see I was already giving up. Almost all my reads had been wrong. My only consolation is that I called out Wonko, even if I didn't actually lynch him, and I remembered Stick was still here, although she never replied to my mentions... Do I get the honorary eliminator award guys? Also, one thing i want to say... This... this was something that really bummed me during this game. On cycle 5, after I've repeatedly stated that I was going to be unable to respond due to me taking my exams, I came out of my exams to find myself dead. Honestly, I was pretty bitter about that :P. Aman would know, seeing as I complained to him when I saw I had been lynched. I suppose I was especially bitter when I found out that Wonko, who I suspected but stopped pursuing because he's been saying he's too busy to respond, was an eliminator. I wasn't bitter at dying or being lynched by the eliminators. That was on par for an SE game. What I was really annoyed about was being lynched while I had absolutely no way of knowing or even defending myself. (This happened in QF19 as well, which, granted, I was an eliminator, but I was still unable to post any defenses :P) At that point, I was muttering how 'consideration has no place in SE' to Aman. Heh. Well, rant over. I've forgiven you guys, but I just wanted to share how hurtful a lack of consideration can be to others. I realize that sometimes being considerate might conflict with your win condition. Maybe being considerate might cost you the game. I'm just saying that if such ruthlessness goes on, the game becomes less fun. Welp, now with that out of the way, I just want to say again that this game was a good one, Hael, and thanks for running it. It was extremely unique not having roles for once, and well, it showed me how horrible I was at reading people . As Mage said, I'll be aiming for redemption in your QF!
  12. I've read a fair bit on the Elder Scrolls, despite not having played a single game, so my knowledge would likely be a bit patchy, heh. I'm signing up as a Dunmer, Helchon of House Dunir. (Yes my name means something and I'm feeling really clever, even if likely no one else will catch it :P) Also, I'll try to do the game in RP
  13. *Raises hand sheepishly I've been horrible at keeping up with this game, I'm sorry. So yeah, I'm still in the game, and I'm really sorry for not giving the game the attention it deserves. My exams finished last week, so technically I have no excuse not to participate now. So...yeah. I really don't have much to say at this point of time. Some time soon I'm going to have to sit myself down and read through the entire thread to see what I've been missing, because I've honestly not been paying much attention to who's being lynched and the arguments being made. What I have been paying attentions to are PMs, since they're usually direct questions to me, and I will try to answer them. So if you want to interact more directly with me, PM me! Anyways, my problem with the game currently is probably that I haven't been paying much attention since last week, where exams were looming and Mr18 was a game where I could be more directly involved, and too much has gone past with me merely skimming through this game. I promise to change that So yeaaah, something I have to contribute to this discussion! I have had a PM with Daniyah since day 1, and she claimed having the fabrial to me on night 3, and the pewter vial night 4, which made me trust her, because she initiated the conversation. However, I find curious it when others say that she claimed she found nothing to them. Her defense isn't really helping her out as much, IMO, so if nothing changes I'll drop a vote on her tomorrow night. Hopefully by tomorrow night I would be able to compile my thoughts on the game so far. (Remind me if I don't) Again, sorry for my quietness >>
  14. Heh this will definitely be the last time I'll be able to reply (on the car now heading to the rest venue), but I must want to note how interesting that the person Nyali mentions when trying to turn the vote against me is Wonko, the partner that Aman connected with her. And in gone. Exam lasts til one, which will be long after rollover so this will be my last post for this cycle. See ya guys! Wish me luck, coz I'll need it.
  15. Sorry I can't say much it's 6am and I'm about to leave, but I've been slightly suspicious of Nyali the whole game, and Aman just helped me fully form my suspicions. Assassin Nyali @I_am_a_Stick @Clanky
  16. So, this is the final round, isn't it? All or nothing. Why has it been so quiet? Anyways, I'm surprised we haven't lost yet. Guess this means Nyali was right and there were only four eliminators. Three now. Okay, so Polking turned out to be village. So last cycle I stated I was suspicious of Polking and Assassin. However, I realize I've made a mistake by going after Polking, who turned out to be truly inactive, rather than Assassin, who was active enough to see him being called out and managing to reply. To me, Assassin now looks like an eliminator who has been contentedly reading the thread, not seeing the need to post and conveniently flying under the radar until the votes started piling on him, on which he decided to speak up. Coincidentally, this also ties in with why I think Ecth died. Last cycle, Ecth went after Assassin immediately after Assassin posted, placing a vote on him. Sure, he removed it later, but I think it might have spooked Assassin, and thus Ecth died because he was uncomfortably close. Unlike the lynch on Polking, where we didnt' have any solid leads, I feel this lead is stronger, and I will cast my vote on Assassin in Burgundy. @Assassin in Burgundy. This is our final round to make a difference. We've been very bad at the lynches this game, and we need to get this one right. @I_am_a_Stick is really the only other person who hasn't been posting much. Make your stance known, Stick. Remaining players: 1. Doc 2. Aman 3. Jondesu 4. Clanky 5. Nyali 6. Assassin 7. Stick 8. Wonko So, Five of us are village, three of them are eliminators. My money's on Assassin, Wonko and Clanky, but we'll see. We seriously need to get his one right. In other news, I will be totally absent tomorrow due to my exams, just a heads up. Wish me luck!
  17. Hey Hael, you forgot someone else that hasn't been posting, heh. Me! Maybe my profile picture had something to do with it, eh? What were we talking about again? Anyways, some of you might have been noticed I've been extremely quiet lately. Well, that's because my SAT exams are only a few days away. I'll probably be going full quiet for the next five days, so just a heads up, and sorry for not talking more. I'll still try to return PMs in the Night turn, but I won't be able to accuse or make long analysis posts. I'll be back soon though, so don't worry! (Please don't lynch or elim kill me while I'm gone ) Doc out.
  18. To be honest, I wouldn't care much if you lynched me now. Some of you might have noticed I'm a lot quieter lately, and that's because my SAT Exam is this Saturday. So well, not having to participate would be one thing off my mind. But I don't want to be lynched. See, I told you I wouldn't care if I died, but I very much think you guys would. As Nyali said, the village can't afford another mislynch, and I'm telling you now that lynching me would be another waste of time. I know I can't prove it, I can't say anything that I haven't already said. However, I do have a duty to the game, and to my team, and though it might be easier if I just let you guys lynch me, the only team that benefits is the eliminators. I've even thought to go as far as to request the eliminators kill me this cycle. Honestly, I guess I'm weary of this game, heh. It's a combination of me making so many mistakes early on, of feeling like we can't win this one, and also real life pressing at me. Nothing against the game itself, Hael, don't worry. But yeah, I signed up for this game, and until I am killed or lynched, I will endeavor to be active. So...yeah. I've said my piece. And in the case that I do get lynched/killed, just some final thoughts. I'm guessing there were a team of five eliminators. Stink was one of them. I'm fairly certain that at least one or two eliminators have been inactive lately. Currently I am still looking at the inactives such as Polking, and the semi inactives like Clanky, Stick and Assassin. I'm certain at least two eliminators are hiding among them. Wonko, also, has recently returned, (Hello Wonko!) so I would ask him to answer the questions I directed at him back in cycle...three? Yeah, three. The people I currently have reason to trust are Aman and Jondesu. Aman because before he pushed for it, I don't think anyone was that interested in lynching Stink. Jondesu based on what he's been saying so far. I...just didn't think he was guilty when he and Mage was up for lynch, and that no one tried to break the tie just makes me think that Mage and Jon were both villagers after all. Nyali, I really don't know what to think. I have a gut suspicious read on her, but nothing to justify it beyond her lack of analyses. Also, I'm finding it slightly curious that she's stopped going after Polking. So the current inactives leading the votes are Polking and Assassin. Honestly, I have nothing on them beyond the fact that they've been quiet, and the active players I am willing to make peace with for now. I'm keeping my vote on Polking, but if it seems that Assassin is more likely to be lynched, I'll switch my vote tomorrow morning. Sorry if this doesn't seem like much, heh. I'm just tired. Doc out.
  19. Well. I don't know what to say anymore. I don't even know if I should try. On Cycle 1 I helped lynch Elbereth. On Cycle 2 I was the first to vote on JUQ. On cycle 3 I made a post defending Stink. On cycle 4 I argued for Magestar's lynch. Honestly, I'd be suspicious that I wasnt your top suspect by now. I mean, I'm glad that so far I'm still trusted, sure, and I know I'm innocent, but why are you not suspecting me like reasonable people? sigh. Bah. I don't even know if I should start making accusations again. Okay, I'll just share my thoughts for now. So Magestar was innocent all along. That means everything I thought was wrong. I did have some doubts initially, and seriously consdiered taking my vote off him, but he sealed his fate when he threw a vote on me and started asking others to lynch me, and so I refused to take my vote off him. Okay. So. Jondesu. I believe he is innocent. Things he said, such as asking Dani and others to vote to make their stances clear. Him saying that he was willing to be lynched if only so we can glean more information from voting patterns. Things like that make me inclined to trust him. I might be wrong, I don't know. He has also made many of the mistakes I have, such as voting on JUQ, voting on Wonko instead of Stink, and voting for Magestar. I find it darkly ironic that I have done many of the same things and he is more suspicious, perhaps. Wonko, I honestly do not know now. It was Mage who first voted on him, and later I voted on him too based on his previous posts. I still hold some measure of suspicion towards him, but as he has been inactive the last few rounds (or at least not responding), I don't feel comfortable lynching him, perhaps. Aman, I trust, as he was behind the Stink lynch from day 1, and pushed for it. Without him I doubt that Stink would have been lynched, and so I trust him for now. He has also made many points which i personally agree with, so yeah, I think he's trustworthy. Nyali has also made some mislynches, and I have a slight suspicious read on her on the Stink lynch. If Jondesu was a villager, I might say she's suspicious. A big reason stems perhaps from the facts that her posts don't have enough analysis, which yes, she has explained due ot her being busy. It's still something to be wary of I guess. Clanky, Ecthelion, Assassin, Polking all post too little, if at all, to be analyzed sufficiently. If anyone among the three might be an eliminator, it might be assassin, Polking or clanky. Ecth I sort of have a villagre read for now. Stick voted on Magestar last cycle. For the previous rounds she had been voting on Daniyah. I know I'm one to talk about mislynching, but yeah, I suppose we should watch her, especially as she's so quiet. So...I guess I'll start looking at those who post little, and poke them into giving their views on stuff. Might be helpful. I need to get reads on the quiet ones, I guess. @polkinghornbd, what are your thoughts on the remaining players? what are your suspicions? Polking until he responds. Sigh. I'm sorry guys. Doc out.
  20. Aaaaand what you did just made my suspicions flare up again, Mage. I guess I could be reading too much into it, and no, it was not just that one post which made me tunnel on you, Mage, although your post did make me go through your other posts more thoroughly and sort of, was the tipping point to me suspecting you? Let's start with your rationale for voting on Wonko. So, now that I am reading more closely on your posts, I see that you yourself had no actual suspicion of Wonko, and was more acting on Aman's analysis. Which I find pretty suspicious. But not enough on it's own, perhaps. What made me slightly uneasy was what happened after. Jondesu says this, and Mage replies. So...this. This feels wrong to me. Mage seems to be removing his vote from Wonko, after Jondesu pointed out that he would be suspicious if Wonko turned out to be a villager. Am I reading too much into this? Perhaps. Look below. And again, if Mage wants to say that he made the lynch, I can't help but wonder if, as you said above, the worst that could happen was a tie, and you wanted that tie. If that's true, well, then perhaps my suspicions of Wonko were wrong. This combined with the fact that you were the first to vote on Wonko...well, more on this below. And what tipped me over was Mage removing his vote on Jondesu this cycle. After Aman said something about if Jondesu was an eliminator, then Mage and Nyali were cleared because he didn't think they would be bussing another ally. Now this is interesting, because why would Mage remove his vote then? Was he afraid, possibly, that Jondesu would be a villager, and him participating in the vote would only incriminate him more? Once is weird. Twice sets off alarm bells. This, combined with what I think about Jondesu now, namely as Dani pointed out, him asking Stink to save himself in thread instead of a potential doc, and how he reacts to being lynched, makes me trust Jondesu a bit more than Mage. I have searched Aman's post for his reasoning for suspecting Jondesu, and what I've found was his behaviour on day 1, as well as possibly not voting on STINK the previous cycle. @Amanuensis feel free to correct me if I've missed something. This comment from Jondesu is what's making me think that he's probably not an Elim. I mean, why say something like this so openly when you could just say it in the doc? (...But maybe that's what he wanted us to think.) Aman says that he doesn't think Wonko is an eliminator, due to him being presented as an alternative to the lynch by Magestar. Well, if Magestar turns out to be an eliminator, then we can clear Wonko for sure. So how's this? @Amanuensis, @Jondesu. We lynch Magestar this cycle. If he is village, then Jondesu and I are eliminators and can be lynched. If he turns out to be an eliminator, however, then I would continue to suspect Wonko the Sane, and trust Jondesu. In terms of pure information getting, Magestar would be my first choice for the lynch. Nyali EDIT: Mentioned @Ookla the Indubitable so he can at least respond. EDIT 2: Also, this is Doc. Sorry Hael
  21. I am very saddened by this remark :(. I am not the young Bard
  22. Heya Jon! I've seen you around, posting theories and stuff, and only recently you made a pretty big impression in Sanderson Elimination, heh. You were great in MR17, and for what it was worth, I enjoyed working with you in QF19. ...You do know I'm still going to be suspicious of you though, right?
  23. Well, it's been a long while since I last visited here, and...how many pages have I missed? Below, me reacting after coming back to the General Discussions thread after spending almost all my time in Sanderson Elimination. So...Anyone want to catch me up? Anyone still remember me?
  24. So we finally got a traitor! Great! Now let's see. Let's start with what we learned from Stink's lynch. First of all, Amanuensis is almost definitely cleared, having been the one of the earliest votes on STINK, and his post being the main reason that people started voting on STINK later. Also, Dani is cleared in my mind, for having gone after STINK almost every cycle. I'm also reasonably sure that Nyali and Ecth are good. Nyali is still ringing faint bells in my head because she keeps promising analyses, but continues slapping votes without them, but she was one of the fairly early votes on STINK, so I'm willing to trust her for now. EDIT: Hold up, I've just reread the last cycle, and it seems that Nyali was the one that hopped on, not Mage... Bah. I'm going to have to change that last paragraph... Sorry Mage... Onto suspicions! I am still rather suspicious of Wonko the Sane. I will attempt to explain. First I want to see, what has he done in the game? So these were the two times he voted in the game, and the only times he has contributed. Now, I understand that he is busy, he has given his reasons, and I trust that he is actually busy, and not just lying low. However, there is still the fact that he has, to me, been trying to redirect attention. The poke vote on me served to bring the focus back on Elbereth, and after removing that vote, he did not vote for that cycle. The cycle after that, instead of participating in the current lynch, he decides to poke vote an inactive. Again, I feel that he is neatly ducking contributing to the main discussions at hand, yet participating by throwing a few poke votes around. What he contributes are suspicions. Suspicions of Elbereth, suspicions of Jondesu. But he is unable to commit to them. But didn't STINK, a confirmed eliminator, vote on Wonko? Yes, STINK did vote on Wonko. But that was when STINK had already been guaranteed to be lynched, and I feel that it might have been a distancing tactic if Wonko is an eliminator. Also suspicious is Magestar Nyali, who switched her vote from Wonko Polking to STINK. Those two votes happened near the end of the cycle, when STINK was still in the lead in the lynch. Now we could also say that the Elims were trying to force a tie, in which it could mean that Wonko is innocent, and they were hoping that Wonko died instead of STINK, but if it was a tie they wanted, the Elims had ample time to force a tie, as there was almost no discussion for the ten or so hours leading up to rollover. So no, I still think the vote on Wonko was a distancing tactic, and he is still one of my suspicions. Now, I still want to lynch Wonko. If nothing else, it would prove Jondesu and me innocent if he is a traitor. But what Magestar Nyali did in the last cycle has increased my suspicions against her. And as stated even before my edit, I was already wary of how Nyali was promising analyses without delivering on them and voting. So. Magestar Nyali, what are your thoughts on Wonko the Sane? @Ookla the Indubitable (Mentioned you to get you to respond to my vote...buuut... Yeah, give your thoughts anyway? :P) @Nyali. What's your response? So, for conclusions, Aman and Dani are good, Ecth and Nyali I'm reasonably sure are good, Jondesu I'm willing to trust for now, at least until Wonko is lynched, Wonko and Mage Nyali are my highest suspicions, Clanky, Stick, Assassin and Polking need to talk more before I can get reads on them. The Jury's still out on Mage. Doc out. EDIT: Have changed the target of my vote after rereading last day and realizing that Mage was the one that tipped the scales, as he claimed, and Nyali was the one who bandwagoned. This makes me inclined to trust Mage a bit more. It doesn't change that I am still very suspicious of Wonko, and most of my reasoning is still exactly the same, just directed at Nyali now instead of Mage.
  25. Sometimes it's great to get a third opinion. Someone who has been following the game, but not directly involved in it. Anyways, I've been rereading the posts for the last couple cycles, and just trying to figure things out. Knowing that JUQ was a villager, it is possible that Mage and STINK could be elims, trying to swing the vote away from Alv's chance gambit. At any rate, it doesn't fully clear anyone, which...doesn't change much I'll just post my thoughts on all the players and slap a vote on my top suspect, I guess. 1. polkinghornbd: Has been silent except to place a vote on JUQ. Is being targeted by Nyali. 2. Assassin in Burgundy: Still very silent. Someone should poke vote him. 3. Ecthellion III: Not one to say much, just votes. Helped with the JUQ lynch, if that says anything. Is nowhere near as active as QF19, which might be a sign of him being an eliminator again? In QF18 and LG26, he was very silent as an eliminator. But again, too silent to draw any conclusions. Talk more, people! 4. Doctor12: Has lynched two villagers in a row. Draw your own conclusions. 5. Darkness: Bah, what do I say about him? "I don't like STINK." Hopefully Clanky proves to be less chaotic. 6. Daniyah - The only one with a decent reason to lynch STINK before Alv. Is being targeted by STINK. Not much thoughts on her. 7. Magestar - Has been silent, except to vote on JUQ. Suspects Jondesu, Wonko, Doc and Dani. Apologized for sounding weird? I have a tentative Elim read on Mage. 8. Nyali - Tunneling on Polking, was first to vote on El. Might be trying to distance herself from votes by claiming that her arguments might be weak. Now that JUQ and Lopen were proved innocent, I'm inclined to think Nyali might have been an elim. If not, then the whole lynch was made by villagers, and the elims are laughing themselves silly. Wonko, you would then be my top suspect, for bringing up El as suspicious. 9. Stick - Has been very silent. Voted on Dani once. Poke her? 10. Wonko - Suspected El but did not vote on her. Has been too busy to make solid analysis, but not too busy to poke vote. Honestly one of my top suspects now, for bringing up the idea that El might be suspicious, but not voting on her. I understand that you're busy in real life, but gah, your silence would be awfully convenient if you were an elim. I'm not accusing you of using real life as cover, no, just being frustrated about it, I guess. 11. Jondesu - I don't know what to think of Jondesu, honestly. He had seemed a little weird to me on the first day. I agree with Aman that he and he was the first to place a vote on JUQ on day one. That...didn't really serve to do anything. I thought he might have been trying to redirect the lynch at first, until I found that Elbereth was a villager anyway, and there had been absolutely no need to redirect a vote. There is Aman's thoughts that he may have been trying to distance himself, and that might also be a valid point. In the second cycle he voted with me on JUQ. I don't know what to think of him. 14. STINK - No one has any solid suspicions on him, and both times he's been brought up as target was 1)Alv's chance gambit, 2)Aman lynching him to gain information. I'm okay with that, I guess, but if I actually have any solid suspicions, I'm going to act on those first. 16. Aman - Just joined, has contributed a lot of stuff to mull over. I have nothing on him yet, I guess. So my suspicions right now are in this order. Wonko, Magestar, Jondesu, Nyali, STINK. @Wonko the Sane, heads up.
